still impressive - i only have squiggly lines, no straight ones like a ruler Wink

clearsommespace · 19/12/2018 16:01

Thought I'd better post to keep this on my thread I'm on.
I did work out on Thursday, Friday and Monday : various levels of Ripped in 30.
Today L3 Shred but the top of my foot started hurting halfway through so I had to adapt the cardio to lots of fast squats. Foot seems fine now but I think I'll just do the yoga workouts which are low impact until my Christmas break.

posting mainly to keep track - day 3 of level 3 (30DS). starting to shift to being mainly natalie rather than quite a bit of anita the first two days. totally running behind for a variety of reasons but never mind... and the second set of shadow boxing is hard going with the 3kg weights!

hope your foot is ok clearsomme

clearsommespace · 23/12/2018 08:40

Sounds like your strength is improving!
My foot is okay for normal use but I haven't tried jumping on it yet.
I have done L1 Yoga Meltdown twice since I last posted.
Not sure I'll be on here until the festivities are over so Happy Christmas to everyone on this thread.

Right screw it. I'm actually back now.

I've decided to not just do the 30ds but also incorporate some of her others. I'm thinking 6week 6pack and no more trouble zones. Hopefully won't feel as horrific as shredding the same muscles every day 😳.

I'm also going to be eating better. Is there anything particular people do? Low carb? Calorie counting?

Please don't let me chicken out again ladies!

If I leave again, can you all pm me telling me to put the steak bake down and pick up the weights pretty please 😂

clearsommespace · 29/12/2018 16:20

I just had to search what a steak bake is.
That makes me sound virtuous but actually my innocence is entirely due to being a non-meater who doesn't live in the UK.

Mixing up the workouts sounds like a good way not to get bored. I personally find it easier physically when my muscles get used a routine but can be dull.

I have done L1 and L2 Shred once each since the 25th. My foot seems fine when I jump. Planning to start in earnest on the 2nd of January or even the 1st depending on how I feel.

Happy New Year everyone!

1st Jan was a washout due to lack of sleep. Started up properly this morning with L1 Ripped.

Hi everyone. I joined a while ago and then gave up again when my runs increased. Post Christmas weight gain is 6 pounds, so back here again.

Going to do either 30DS or Yoga (inferno??meltodown?? Not sure what it's called) 3 times a week in January on top of runs. Also going to try and eat semi-healthily for once. Blush

clearsommespace · 04/01/2019 15:03

Hi Waiting Are you training for a particular run?
mamahanji Are you still there or do I need to send a PM?
Did L2 Ripped yesterday and L2 Shred today.

Yes sir sorry sir.

Did 6 week 6 pack yesterday. Walked 6 miles today so decided that was enough of a workout too!

I did not enjoy 6 week 6 pack. The coordination needed was insane.

Think I'll go back to 30ds

clearsommespace · 04/01/2019 18:28

Wish my DC showed that kind of respect Grin

I didn't like 6 week 6 pack at first and because of the coordination issue I was not faster the second time around until about the 5th time. It did get better with practise.

Got a few half marathons later this year clearsommespace. Putting it here so I do it... level 3 30DS done today! Smile

WhenCanISleepAgain · 05/01/2019 20:27

Can I join you? I completed Day 3 of Level 1 today... and I ache all over!

WhenCanISleepAgain · 05/01/2019 20:27

(Level 1 of the 30 Day shred that is)

clearsommespace · 06/01/2019 07:13

The more the merrier! I think D3 is the worst because you have the stiffness from Day 1 still and your body is still getting used to the exercises and the change in level still seems a long way off.

I am going to do No More Trouble Zones now. Then I have to take the Christmas tree down. I love putting it up, it's when our household starts getting in the Christmas mood. But taking it down is such a drag!

Thanks clearsomme - encouraging to hear that my body will get more used to it.

Hope you’re having a good morning. I also hate taking down the Christmas tree. It’s so fiddly.

Chocolatecakes · 06/01/2019 11:06

Can I join please. I started the 30 day shred over a year ago but only managed to do level 1 then gave up. I’m determined to do it this time. I’m not overweight as such but would like to be more toned. I’m hoping to start Tuesday when the schools go back, as well as making the effort to walk the school run more rather than driving it

WhenCanISleepAgain · 06/01/2019 19:04

Good luck Chocolatecakes as you start on Tuesday. I did Day 4 today. I found it ever so slightly less torturous today but I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to do even a modified push up. I don’t whether to keep going with those or to do a different exercise then instead. Fairly sure I’m just not getting it right.

clearsommespace · 06/01/2019 20:20

This may be helpful : building up to a push up

L1 6 week 6 pack this morning.
I found it hard going as I was a bit sore from yesterday's workout.

OP posts:
WhenCanISleepAgain · 07/01/2019 17:26

That was super helpful clearsomme and I did Day 5 today with a modified modified push up! I’m less sore today but still find it hard going. I’m using tins instead of weights so know it’d be a lot harder if I used proper weights.

clearsommespace · 08/01/2019 09:01

Glad it was useful. I have some 500g dumbells so not much heavier than a tin but easier to grasp.

Did Ripped L3 today.

@mamahanji Are you still there?
@chocolatecakes Are you starting today? I suggest you add some stretches to the cool down at the end so you aren't too stiff tomorrow.

Going to go for level 2 30DS tonight. Remember I hated that level but can't remember why...

WhenCanISleepAgain · 08/01/2019 17:54

I suspect you’ll remember quite soon waitingonasmiley Wink (planks??).

I’m feeling pleased that I completed 30DS L1D6 today so am over half way through level 1... and looks like I’ve lost nearly half an inch from my waist and hips!

Waitingonasmiley42 · 08/01/2019 19:14

Shock it's the chair squats with v raises (think that's what they are called) I remember now. Did not enjoy that.
