Ri30 L4D7 - workout completed!

clearsommespace · 30/11/2018 06:09

Congratulations!

DCat woke me early so I have just done Shred L1 & L2. (Skipping the L1 cool down and L2 warm up).

Never done back to back JM before.
When I joined the Shred thread mamahanji started back in the Spring I had really let my fitness go, mostly through laziness. I'm glad to have it back, even though I'm still a long way from contemplating back to back 6W6P!
Thanks @mamahanji

Ok...on a mission.

L1 D1 done :)

OublietteBravo · 01/12/2018 18:14

Friday: 6W6P L2
Today: Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism (aka BFBM)

miffmufferedmoof · 01/12/2018 20:49

Well done everyone. Do you have a 6 pack now clear?!

I finished the beginner shred today. Very pleased with myself for sticking to it 4 times a week without missing any. Took waist measurements before and after - lost 3cm off the biggest part of my waist and 5cm off the smallest part. Happy with that!

clearsommespace · 02/12/2018 05:38

I'm sure I have a great 6 pack (hidden under my belly fat!)
Seriously...there is a vertical line but no horizontal ones if that makes any sense.

Congratulations on completing! It's a great feeling to set yourself a challenge and then achieve it.

Welcome Calm.

Thank you clear D2L2 done Smile

CalmConfident · 02/12/2018 09:47

Sorry D2L1...bit of wishful thinking there....Blush

MaitreKarlsson · 02/12/2018 09:56

Hi
Wondered if I could join you at this very late stage?
Used to be quite fit and flexible but two long-running injuries have meant I now do pretty much no exercise apart from running for the bus Blush
Find 30 day shred quite hard on the joints but determined to get back into some sort of non flabby shape before the New Year...

clearsommespace · 02/12/2018 17:59

Calm Grin cottage
Maitre new Shredders etc always welcome
Resting and feasting with friends weekend for me. While it was great fun, I'm quite looking forward to simple food and exercise tomorrow.

I have absolutely no idea where the random cottage came from!

I dropped off the thread and then lost it, so I'm pleased to have found you again!

I have been exercising even though I haven't been posting: can I recommend the JM 10-minute Transformations DVD? 5 workouts, plus a warmup and cooldown, and you can just do one or combine them. I'm using them to get back into early morning exercise as even with warmup and cooldown a single session only takes 15 minutes, and then doing Lift and Shred and trying to get to yoga classes at the weekends. (December is going to be challenging, though. Too many evening things, and work is manic.)

clearsommespace · 03/12/2018 06:17

Hey! Nice to see you again and thanks for the recommendation. Sounds ideal for winter mornings when it's harder to get out of bed.
Ripped L2 and thanks to all that ab work in November I was able to do the 2 minute plank cardio. My quads were aching before my abs!

Reporting in L1D3 done. Proper 2kg hand weights located - was much harder as a result Smile

OublietteBravo · 03/12/2018 19:11

I dusted off an old Jillian DVD which I’ve not done in ages: Killer Buns & Thighs (aka KB&T) L1. It was rather longer than I expected (40 mins), and I think stairs might be painful tomorrow.

clearsommespace · 04/12/2018 07:30

I like Killer Buns & Thighs but usually the only days I have time for that DVD are the days I also have to cycle up the hill from town to home. The hill is hard work on a rest day so unthinkable after KB&T.

Did Ripped L2 again this morning to make sure the abs cardio success wasn't a fluke.

Update: my lower back feels a little bit stiff/sore, but stairs are fine Smile

clearsommespace · 06/12/2018 06:33

I did Yoga Meltdown L2 this morning. It didn't feel like I was working very hard but then my legs were wobbly when I went upstairs just afterwards.

I did beginner shred level 1 on Saturday - a week after finishing the 30 days. I thought it might seem easy after having completed all 3 levels but no such luck! I still have sore chest muscles today!
I was thinking of doing it twice a week to maintain fitness until starting up again after Christmas

clearsommespace · 10/12/2018 09:10

Easy and JM. Hmm Not sure these words fit together.
Sounds like a good plan to maintain for the moment It's such a busy time of year!
I am aiming 3 or 4 times a week until the New Year.
I did Ripped L4 on Friday and same this morning.

Sturmundcalm · 12/12/2018 21:48

i'm back (hopefully!).

have now done 3 days of level 1 (30DS) but going to switch up and do 3-4 days of level 2 before going on to level 3 (since i was a day away from level 3 when my leg went).

only 3 weeks off but am finding it hard going and my legs/back/shoulders/chest/arms all ache but i'm sure it will be worth it... am aiming to get level 3 finished by 27th december if possible as we go away for a few days then!

am v impressed with everyone else - particularly clearsomme's mention of a vertical line, i could but dream Grin

CalmConfident · 12/12/2018 23:27

I feel off the wagon after only 3 days due to work / life stuff. Planning to reset this weekend

clearsommespace · 13/12/2018 09:51

Oh glad to hear you are up and shredfinf again.
Don't be too impressed, it's just a little line with squishy stuff on both sides of it (like if you hit a cushion with the thin edge of a ruler). But it is a definite sign there is more muscle beneath than before.

Have done L1 and L2 Shred since Monday.
