thanks clear - should really be doing my last level 2 session right this minute but not feeling great so going to have a cup of peppermint tea first to see if i can perk up...

pizza is probably my kids' favourite meal!

I know. Pizza should be every kids favourite meal! She doesn't like burgers or ice-cream either! Not even home made top quality.

On the bright side, it means less temptation to be a lazy cook. Although she loves any kind of salty processed potato shape under the sun so I can occasionally do a freezer dinner if I need a break from cooking from scratch.

Hope the tea works. Putting L2 behind you is a great feeling!

Checking in for yesterday - 25 mins of yoga. Couldn't manage anything more with that nasty cold which is still hanging about. I'll do the same tonight. Found a lovely gentle video. Perfect for rest days. I'll share later.

@clearsommespace - this is another lovely stretchy video. Same teacher - better production values Grin and crucially its all about hips and legs and I've realised these really needed stretching after days of lunges!

Thanks for the link. If I get time today I am going to try her back pain video. I don't have any back pain but I lack flexibility in my lower back. it feels like 2 or 3 of my vertebrae are permanently welded together.

But first, time for L2 D7.
Tomorrow will be another rest day as I have to attend a training session at HQ = a longer commute than usual.

had a rest day yesterday and did absolutely nothing cause still feeling a bit rubbish, but did do level 3 day 1 of 30DS this morning. was dripping sweat from about 10mins in but got through it (doing more of Anita than I usually do).

think i'm going to see out the 30DS but then going to switch to focusing on my diet for at least a month as i still have more weight to lose and while this is helping it's not enough - and work is so full on i can only cope with one other thing to manage...

These stretches are heavenly and I just did another lot as my snotty nonsense is not shifting sadly and still feel dire.

When I shredded this summer I really watched the diet - MyFitnessPal and just good wholesome food and the effects were so much quicker!

30DS L2D8. I will not let this level beat me. I will persevere and get through it. No matter how much I hate each and every minute of it.

thanks affection but just being sensible is hard-going for me! did make a pot of homemade soup this evening so will try and get back on the straight and narrow this week.

went a walk up the hill this morning as still tired and think being outside helped so will maybe struggle to finish the 30DS by end September (which was my aim) if I try to walk instead some days... on the plus side, the loop i did this morning would normally take me about 50mins and i did it in less than 45 so must be getting fitter Grin

Ripped L3 D1. Ouch my quads! There is a fair bit on triceps too. That's one area that doesn't get much work in 30 day shred.

oubliette are you planning 10 days of each level for Ripped? L2 is indeed the one with the plank cardio circuit. Also crow pushups.

Oops Blush - excuse the typo! Yesterday should have been Ri30 L1D7. I’m not planning on doing more than 7 days per level.

Today I got another day of the Shred out of the way - L2D9. Just one more to go before I can move on...

pinkhorse I am using a good old fashioned DVD of Jillian Michaels' Ripped in 30 workout. I think others may be accessing it in a more newfangled manner.Smile

I moved onto level 3 of the Shred today. I definitely prefer it to level 2, although the 3rd circuit has some tough moves (leg raise combo and rockstar jumps).
