Ps. Sorry, L1 day 3. Nearly short changed myself there Grin

clearsommespace · 04/09/2018 12:16

Oubliette that's a dramatic comeback!
L1D4 complete

3DS L1D2 done.

Tsotofamily · 04/09/2018 13:12

Well can't find the shred anywhere so started hip hop abs, will be back once I can find my DVD again.
Good luck all

Sturmundcalm · 04/09/2018 16:46

30DS - level 2, day 3 done this morning. Actually feel not too bad today but yesterday felt absolutely hellish! really don't think i'm doing the leg twist while in plank at the end right too but will keep going...

clearsommespace · 04/09/2018 17:47

Sturm On another DVD JM says you should bring the knee towards the opposite armpit. Does that help?

OP posts:
Sturmundcalm · 04/09/2018 18:15

will give it a try! just doesn't feel as though it's doing much for my abs but maybe they're just so deeply buried I can't feel it Wink

ErrolTheDragon · 04/09/2018 18:27

I know what you mean - I remember that one seemed too easy. I felt as if it was doing more if I more brought the knee forward straight and did the twist at the end.

OublietteBravo · 04/09/2018 19:39

Ouch. Everything hurts today. I certainly won’t be doubling up again. In fact I couldn’t face Shred or Ri30 and did a cardio circuit instead this evening (BFBM).

affectionincoldclimate · 04/09/2018 22:43

L1 day 4 done. Getting used to it but still gritting my teeth to running man!

@OublietteBravo - I can't believe you did two in one day. What possessed you! I am in awe Shock I find RI30 quite sweaty (more sweaty than Shred for some reason). If I did two I'd just melt like that guy in Indiana Jones and Raiders of the Lost Arc

clearsommespace · 05/09/2018 05:25

Sturm are you sure your initial plank position is correct? I can definitely feel this move using my obliques.

Or maybe you just have super strong obliques?

L1 D5 done.
I'm not sure how to divide 30 days by 4 workouts....

OP posts:
OublietteBravo · 05/09/2018 18:53

I decided to continue on with Shred. Just done L2D5. Half way there...

clearsommespace · 06/09/2018 09:20

L1 D6.

I can't join Basheera on those side planks. Maybe it's my form but I feel like my wrists will give way !

L2D4 of the shred - think it's incredibly unlikely that i have super strong anything but oddly enough i don't find any of the abs moves v difficult. i have planked quite a bit in the past and worked on my position so think i'm at least starting ok although less sure about once i start the movement.

they are making a difference though - i've lost quite a bit of weight over the last year or so but still totally had a flab/fat apron and it's definitely shifted a lot in the last couple of weeks, so fingers crossed!

OublietteBravo · 06/09/2018 19:01

Ri30 L1D2. It’s quite a bit longer than the Shred sessions, isn’t it? I timed it today - 34 min from the start of the warm-up to the end of the cool-down.

ErrolTheDragon · 06/09/2018 19:19

L1D3 this morning (we went out yesterday, I had a days holiday in lieu of the bank hol)

I'm quite pleased that despite a long lapse the cardio is ok (I've been doing a little jogging) and abs too (I was doing Pilates for quite a while until this spring, I really recommend it - need to try to find a class at a time that works for me)

affectionincoldclimate · 06/09/2018 23:17

Hello Shredders
Reporting in L1 day 5 done for yesterday. It was a late one and I totally forgot to check in.

Today was a much needed stretch day. Two more days and next level is beckoning. That's the difference with RI30 - the levels seem less interminable! Smile

affectionincoldclimate · 06/09/2018 23:19

@OublietteBravo well done and it is! She chats more and actually some of the exercises run over the 30 sec mark (I see you Jillian 👽😁)

clearsommespace · 07/09/2018 06:28

L1 day 7 done.
Saturday is my rest day. So I guess I start L2 on Sunday.
affection are you planning 7 days of each so 'Ripped in 28'?

OP posts:
affectionincoldclimate · 07/09/2018 08:31

@clearsommespace
Good question - I'm planning to have rest days (like yesterday) as when I train non stop I get really tired. 7 days with one break or as appropriate so 8 days per level. I'll probably do it in about 32-34 days therefore.

How are you planning it?

clearsommespace · 07/09/2018 15:36

I have to have an exercise rest day on Saturdays because of other commitments.
(I didn't have to last weekend because it was the holidays.)
7 days in a row will definitely be too much for L2 and above. So I'll try to rest midweek. I'll do at least 7 days of each level though.

OP posts:
ErrolTheDragon · 07/09/2018 15:50

L1D4 done

You're meant to have one or two rest days a week - your muscles need time to mend. Having the weekend off is a good thing!Grin

affectionincoldclimate · 07/09/2018 23:28

L1 day 6 done.

Thanks @clearsommespace And @ErrolTheDragon

Fair points about the rest days. I don't think I do enough rest days anyway. I tend to do them when I really start feeling my body being really drained. Perhaps I'll go bit gentler this time. I certainly appreciated the stretch day yesterday. Smile

OublietteBravo · 08/09/2018 09:08

L1D3 done. I don’t mind this level so much - it’s definitely not as bad as L2 of Shred anyway!
