SittHakim I’ve found doing the shred has improved my running weirdly! Wouldn’t have guessed it would make such a difference.

Well done sturmundcalm !

I did before and after photos today and can’t believe there’s a noticeable difference when I didn’t change my diet.

L3D10 DONE! I was tempted to hurl the DVD out of the window in celebration but I suppose I may want it again. I'm away for the weekend, but will get going on Ripped in 30 on Monday.

Ughhhh I’ve still got one more day to do Sad . Level 3 day 29 done. I’ve run 40km this week so had no motivation to do shred everyday. I’ll finish it tomorrow, and I need to do it now I’ve writyen it here. Wink

Got home late last night. The living room is full of bags and boxes.
Hopefully I'll clear a space in time to do Ripped L1 today.

I'm starting Shred again after, for various reasons falling off the wagon for a couple of years. I've been doing L1 for the last couple of weeks but I think I'm going to start 'properly' on Monday.

I'm going to start tomo or Monday depending on how busy my day gets tomo. Going away for the weekend at end of September so hopefully this will make a difference (even if its a small difference I will still be happy)

Hello everyone

Apologies for dropping off the radar. I’ve been totally rushed off my feet with work and family matters and checking in here took a hit although I missed the group a lot so really happy to be back.

However, as it is 1st of September @clearsommespace I’d like to report in with L1 of Ripped in 30 done. I’ve actually done it twice in the last week as wanted to ease myself gently and it is harder isn’t it? I was pondering why that is and having tracked it on my iPhone next to the mat opened on Fitbit app I’ve realised it’s few mins longer than 30DS. And that few minutes make a huge difference  on a plus side though everything is 30 secs (or thereabouts as I’m sure when Jillian starts chatting through some of the sections they are longer!) and her motivational chat during cool down is so ace. Corny and American but still ace.

Lovely to see everyone still on here and busting it. @Waitingonasmiley42 well done on completing 30DS, as Jillian says, I’m sure it wasn’t a cake walk for you Grin

Looks like there will be plenty of us to encourage ourselves to shred and get ripped (or at least slightly more toned) this month.

L1 D2 done. My glutes were sore yesterday so I added a stretch for that area.

Interesting to read that Ripped is a little longer. It doesn't feel it. However there are more transitions and they feel less hurried to me. I have time to take a swig of water. In Shred I have to pause the DVD.

I seem to remember when doing ripped in the past that some of the sections are longer than their nominal 30s - IIRC one of the 'military march' reps seemed interminable.

L1 day 2 reporting in.

I counted and the bloody Running Man where she says she doesn’t was perfect because “perfect is boring” runs to 45 secs 😄 I’m always like: All right Jillian, less of the chat, just call time now. Grin

Also, I was reminded today that I miss the lovely Anita from 30DS. Shelley who is supposed to do the beginners versions is a total teacher’s pet and overachiever and she looks like she wants to do advanced versions but drew a short straw during selection. The things that my mind does when I am busting through a particularly tricky move huh? Grin

I just had to look up the origins of spotty dog.
Davina uses that name for the exercise but I didn't know where it came from.
I had my eye on the second counter today. The basic crunches also last well over 40 secs.

I’m back from my holiday, and I’ve just done 30DS L2D4 and Ri30L1D1. I expect I’ll be very stiff and sore tomorrow. I don’t think I’ll be doubling up on DVDs again for a while.

RI30 L1D1 done. It definitely is quite a bit longer than the Shred. And I agree that Shelley isn't as good as Anita (apart from anything else, Anita's form is flawless - much better than Natalie's on some of the ab moves). On the positive side I much prefer the three strength moves rather than two in each circuit, and frankly anything's an improvement on the tedium of L3 of the Shred. (Though I don't know if I'll still be saying that when I have to face the crow push-ups and the evil plank cardio circuit later on.)

I am enjoying it now. Also, the 4 week format means that it feels quicker. From what I remember last time.
