Thought I would start a new thread as we have literally run out of room on the last one Grin

Plink you can buy the asylum disks for £1 on cex - I don't think they are necessarily even second hand as they had loads of them but they don't come with the special ladder or bands etc. I got mine on there for £23 so was gutted when it went down to £1!!

CEX

yumyumpoppycat · 18/10/2018 20:37

Oh sorry, Insanity asylum is sold out. Worth keeping an eye incase they get them back in.

PlinkPlink · 18/10/2018 21:30

Haha got me all excited there yum

They're selling P90X for like £6 as well 😂😂😂 I've bookmarked Asylum though so when it's back in stock, I'm there 😂😂

Saw the physio today. Feeling really good about it and very glad I put in the self-referral.

So... it's not just my knees. It's my hips too. My hip muscles are weak and my inner knee muscles are weak which are making my kneecaps track to one side and making my knees dip inwards rather than straight. My fat pads are inflamed (which I did not know) and the constant grinding noise I get in them is because of inflammation too. I also have hypermobile joints.

The good news is my other muscles are really strong as they're taking on the extra work in trying to stabilise me. So now I just work on the weak ones.
She said when I've strengthened them, things like Insanity will only make me stronger rather than exacerbate weak points! YAY!!!

I can keep doing T25 (yay!!!) but just continue to take out/modify the batshit crazy frog stuff jumps and lunges they do.

It's good day when you hear you can keep exercising!! 😄😄😄

PlinkPlink · 18/10/2018 21:32

I read your first post wrong yum... thought you said you were averaging 8 workouts a week!!! Shock Shock 😂😂😂

Bloody hell! That would be a crazy workout regime! 😂😂😂

yumyumpoppycat · 19/10/2018 13:19

Ooh Plink sounds like it was a good thing you went to that physio appointment, sounds like a lot going on that you wouldn't even have known about. So for now some specific exercises and modify T25 ad you should get stronger?

Grin 8 workouts now way! - there have been people on here at times doing that many but I think that is a litttttle bit to hardcore for me!

Legs done so in theory I am all done for the week - mabe a yoga session if feeling very keen.

PlinkPlink · 19/10/2018 23:12

Yup sounds like that's the way forward yum.

I know it sounds silly but I'm proper chuffed I can keep doing it. The last time I had to stop playing rugby for a few months and it broke my heart/depressed me. Very frustrating. Had to resort to swimming!

Well done on your workout!! Nice feeling knowing you've got the weekend free 😄😄

How's everyone else been today? Reastie how is the nausea?

Purpleraindeer · 20/10/2018 17:40

Hi plink - you have exactly the same knee problem I had when I was running and not doing any other training. It went away when I started doing DVDs etc as they’re excellent for building up all the muscles in your legs so I bet t25 will be perfect.

Lots of running for me over last 2 days - 11miles yesterday then 4.5 today. It is beautiful weather here so was lovely to be outside.

Hope you’re all ok. Also I’d like to confirm I’ve never done 8 workouts per week Grin

yumyumpoppycat · 20/10/2018 20:46

Actually Plink I agree about the dvds and knee's getting stronger - when I first started doing exercise dvds - Jillian Michaels in particular - I would twist my knees etc frequently but now they are usually fine and I think it must be they have got stronger {touches wood frantically}

Purple well done on runs - I just looked back at page 1 thread 1 and realised you were one of the first people to reply to my OP - I was so nervous posting that and we are still going strong nearly 4 years later. You have progressed so much from thread 1as you thought insanity would be too much and now here you are pretty much the queen of insanity max 30 Grin

So far no yoga - I had a nap instead Blush

yumyumpoppycat · 20/10/2018 21:54

Not sure how good the prices are but amazon have up to 20% off fitbits and other fitness. This includes some weights Roman so thought you might be interested link to offer includes a set of 2 10kg weights for £34 homcom or 2 x 6kg are £24

PlinkPlink · 20/10/2018 22:39

Hey Purple yeah she said it'd be good 😃😃 Amazing runs there!! 11 miles?! God I can barely do one 🤣🤣 running really has never been my strong point or rather endurance running. I can only sprint for a bit and then I'm done 😂😂

Yum I found my knee aching with Insanity but I think that's because my muscle imbalance had started again prior to beginning the programme. I'd been going to the gym before I started but before that I hadn't done anything. Actually , the only times I've had problems is straight after a long rest. So it gives me all the more reason to keep a regime up. My joints just can't cope with it, my muscles weaken far too much 😔

And remember resting is just as important as workouts. Having a nap is worth it. I used to be a serial napper before DS. I miss being able to do it. That and lie-ins 😂😂

yumyumpoppycat · 21/10/2018 14:07

Oh well plink you will just have to stay on here and keep us company Grin

I am a hopeless runner but would love to be able to go off and run for miles. We walked for about 7 miles today (dp thinks 5 - I think 10, the children think more!) and we were absolutely cream crackered Blush. It was a beautiful day though we walked along a canal and felt a bit like being in the countryside. Funny it is so close to our house and never done it before.

Plink my kids would let me lie in now (well the 7 year old less so) but dp is an early bird kind of person so we all end up out of bed by 7.30/8.00 at the weekend. I am the sort of person who would happily sleep until 10.00 am given half a chance! To be fair 8.00 would have seemed like bliss when the oldest was little as he was often up for the day at 5.30 which is just beyond a joke

Theromanempire · 22/10/2018 11:21

Yum has this thread (well it's predecessors) really been going for 4 years now? Wow! I don't think I have been here since then - I'm trying to work out when we first ventured into BeachBody. It was definitely T25 and we bought the DVD's and it was definitely a January - just not sure how many years ago. Thinking about it, it must have been 2015 at the latest so that would be nearly 4 years for me Shock

Plink glad the physio has provided you with some useful information that you can work with. Hopefully you will see improvements soon. Not sure T25 is what I would choose though due to it's complete batshit crazy jumpiness Wink I still have nightmares about the Total Body Circuit workout!! Particularly in one week (is it week 4 of Alpha) where you have to do it 3 times!!!

Purple well done on the running Smile people who can just go out and run such distances never cease to amaze me. Would love to be able to do that but I have made peace with the fact that running is not, and will never be, my exercise Grin

Reastie hope you are ok and not suffering too much with nausea. Hope you manage to spend some lovely time with your DD this week Smile

So completed week 3 of Liift yesterday and on with week 4 tonight when DH gets home from work. Not much going on with the diet front - didn't really track my food 100% last week, my macros were all over the place and an open packet of jelly babies in the kitchen was far too tempting for me most evenings. I also completely binged last night on an entire big bar of Daim Cadburys chocolate which is my ultimate favourite chocolate Blush Am back on track today but it is always difficult when I am off with the DC but I will try. Hitting my target weight by Christmas is not going to happen now but I'm ok with that. If I can shift a bit more between now and then. I know I can pick it up again in the New Year and I will reach my target by my 12-month anniversary (that is my new aim anyway!)

Reastie · 22/10/2018 11:48

Hello, I’ve been hiding from th thread on purpose as I’ve been too Envy of all the workouts you’ll be doing and I haven’t. I’m already having to eat non stop and on anti sickness meds. Seeing gp on Friday to discuss work and medication options (off this week and last anyway as school holiday). Not getting excited about being pg at all as convinced I’ll have a mc so no excitement for me, just positive vibes. Have been on exercise bike every morning for half an hour. Only gently but at least it’s something. Discovered some pg yoga stuff on the secret site so will try that too.

Thinking I might start looking like a beige carb as it’s all I’m eating!

PlinkPlink · 22/10/2018 13:12

So I will yum 😂😂😂 sounds like a lovely walk! Get the Map My Walk app. Does exactly what it says on the tin 😂😂 7.30am on a weekend?! Unheard of in our house! 😂😂 DP is a chronic napper as well. Before we had DS a lush day consisted of lazing in bed all day, watching snooker (it's our thing) or a film. Then snoozing until our hearts content 😂😂 not gonna happen for a long time yet 🤣🤣🤣

Roman I hate TBC. It's a bastard 😂 I end up swearing at Shaun sadist . Tap push ups, 180° rotations... the worst is those push ups with your leg up by your hands... I am not a lizard, there is no way I am going to be able to do that. Who has legs that are capable of doing that and doing a push up at the same time?! 😂😂😂 though obviously if someone on here says they can do them I am going to applaud them.

Don't beat yourself up too much over the Jelly babies and Daim. It happens. I'm sure it won't derail you too much. The important thing is carrying on with the healthy food after. Jump right back on the wagon 😃😃 well done on completing Week 3!!!

Oh Reastie you poor thing. I remember that feeling. Hated not working out. Got me so down. It must be so hard not to get excited but I understand not wanting to just in case. I have all my fingers crossed for you that it goes well.
Haha pasta, toast, jacket potatoes... I also enjoyed far too many chocolate Flake yoghurts when i had it bad 😂😂 not a carb but so yum 😂 keep doing the gentle stuff... yoga sounds good! Nice and relaxing 😊

PlinkPlink · 23/10/2018 20:59

Hey ladies, how you all doing? Any news on your workouts so far this week?

I managed to do Week 2 Workout 3 of T25 last night. Speed 1.0. Bleddy lush!!! Particularly fond of the burpee and front kicks move.
Also managed to get a decent amount of protein in.

Knee exercises are doing their thing. My knees seem to be grinding less already which is wonderful!

I can't wait to finish my protein powder. It's a Unico one and it was pretty pricey, especially because I has to pay customs fees on it 😡 but I'm looking forward to something different. It's cinnamon roll flavour which I love as I don't get to eat them anymore 😂 however, it is ridiculously sweet. Maybe a vanilla flavour next time? Then I can make some protein balls 😄😄

Purpleraindeer · 23/10/2018 21:35

Hi plink. Glad the knees are feeling better. That’s fast.

Reastie - sorry to hear you’re feeling awful already. I had a lot of miscarriages so I hear you on not getting too excited (I refused to even discuss being pg with dh until my 12wk scan!) but everyone told me feeling sick was a good sign.

I can’t believe this thread has been going for nearly 4yrs. I remember when it started. I had been given t25 for Xmas and just started in the new year. I remember showing it to my friends and us all laughing about me getting all buff like the people on the cover. Obv im still not totally buff like them - but it is amazing the difference between me then and me now!

I did total synergistics on Sunday (and somehow the pull up bar fell off whilst I was on itShock) and then cvx tonight. I have an impressive bruise on my shoulder from the pull up bar and I’m a bit worried I may have accidentally taught my kids to swear as I did utter a few words as I pinged off it!

yumyumpoppycat · 23/10/2018 23:44

Oh no purple - hope you are ok, that sounds horrid Shock. That is a definite disadvantage to door way pullup bars, I have had my one slip a couple of times and it shook me a bit and that is without it actually falling off.

Roman January 15 - yes that is when it started so we 3 are all nearly at 4 years Wine

Plink well done on speed 1.0 - a few if us love 2.0 so that is a good one for you to look forward to Grin Good news about the knees improving. I have given up on protein powders but LIIFT 4 is making me interested again.

I have done triceps yesterday and today shoulders. I swapped workouts 3 and 4 as I wanted a shorter one. I liked it and could lift a little heavier on one or 2 things but I skipped the core section today Blush

Reastie - you are so resourceful when under limitations with workouts, so I can't wait to hear about pregnancy workouts etc you are doing. I can totally relate to beige carb thing - I would eat a whole packet of crumpets when pregnant with ds. This is going to sound pathetic but my period was really quite late last week so there was a day or so where I was drinking decaff and being really tired and thinking ok I am clearly pregnant and even though it was only for one day and I wasn't even pregnant it was hard work. My period is usually early and never late normally so I was probably Envy of you on some subconscious level!

yumyumpoppycat · 23/10/2018 23:57

Purple, that must have been so difficult going through multiple miscarriages Flowers

Theromanempire · 24/10/2018 09:27

Morning everyone Smile

Plink yes, Speed 1.0 is fab but Speed 2.0 (and Core Speed which is a bonus workout on BOD) are even better! They are 25 minutes of continuous cardio work so really great for those times that you just want to get sweaty and out of breath!

Reastie I totally understand your nervousness - just take each day as it comes. Glad you are managing some exercise - your body will let you know if and when it is ok to step it up a bit (if you want to of course). I know I've said this before but I was doing BA classes up to 7 months pg albeit purely low impact by the end of that time Wink But I don't think I did much in the first 3 months of pg as I was just so tired and would also rather spend my time indulging in lots of beige carbs (I wonder why the body craves those??)

purple ouch to the pull up bar! Hope your injury isn't too bad and Grin to teaching the DC some new words! I'm not sure any of our doors are strong enough for my weight Wink

Yum So have you done the back and biceps workout from week 4 yet? I am going to do it this morning and had a quick peek (I always do that to know what to expect Grin) and remember that the Hiit move that you have to do for 60 seconds is a total nightmare Confused (the squats that you have to jump round in a square) think I managed about 20 seconds last time round but I may just modify the full 60 seconds and then put all my effort into the other 2 exercises (and yes, I am aware that Hiit isn't supposed to work that way Grin)

Officially hit my 2 1/2 stone loss yesterday - not bad in just over 6 months which has included a 2 week AI holiday and a month where my weight totally plateaued! So I have another 24lbs to go to get to 11 1/2 stone which is my target weight so I reckon another 6 months should be achievable as I suspect it won't be anywhere near as fast as that.

OP posts:
PlinkPlink · 24/10/2018 12:56

Hi Purple yeah, it's not perfect. Still getting a bit of pain but cam definitely feel a difference!
I have a pull up bar and am terrified to use it for that very reason. Must have been quite a shock! Haha teaching your kids new words 😂😂

Hey yum ooh I look forward to that!! Well done on your workout! I used to do that with Cardio Abs in Insanity... if pick the Plyometric Circuit over it almost every time 😂😂😂😂

Oh that's not pathetic at all. I think we've all been there. I went and got some folic acid tablets before I knew for certain I was pregnant. I'd had a weird bubbly tingles and gone off food. Felt nauseous in the very very early days. Was totally convinced I was pg. Then I started bleeding 😕 I was quite disappointed but felt silly for getting excited. Then 2 weeks later I was needing to go to the loo alot so I took the test again. Definitely pregnant. So not silly... I think you're just listening to your body 😊😊

Morning Roman - oh my god well done!!! That's bloody fantastic!! You should be super chuffed with that, definitely!! How long have you been working on your weight loss?

yumyumpoppycat · 24/10/2018 21:07

ooooh core speed Roman - not sure if I have I done that one? If I feel hardcore enough at some point I could make that a 5th workout on top of HIIT4. I am going to do biceps tomorrow - agh jumping in a square thing is hideous - I can cope with regular squat jumps but not that!

Fantastic on your progress and lbs still coming off! You have probably lost more than the scales suggest because of the strength focus - if you were on a super low calorie high cardio regime you might lose more muscle.

Plink - bubbly tingles sounds like the best pregnancy symptom yet GrinTo be honest I don't think I could cope with a 4th any way - the 3 we already have are enough of a handful Grin

Theromanempire · 24/10/2018 21:49

yum core speed is definitely on BOD. It's the same format as Speed 2.0 but different moves - I prefer it tbh.

I did Back and Biceps and did modify all of the 60 second squat stuff on each round but went full on for the 45 and 30 second moves.

plink I started this diet at the beginning of April and have lost 35 lbs in that time. Up till then i've been trying to lose weight for what feels like forever though and just seemed to get heavier and heavier despite regular exercise Hmm this is the first thing that's worked!!

Having said that, I haven't logged my food today as we have had a day out which involved a delicious cake and hot chocolate at Costa, lots of sweets and ended with fish and chips Grin

OP posts:
PlinkPlink · 25/10/2018 11:48

yum globe jumps 😂😂😂 bleddy hate them. How do 4 jumps only count as one rep? 😂😂 another frog move 😂

Oh yeah it was so tickly. Well weird. Never felt anything like it before which is how I knew it was different. Hope I get the same with baby no.2 (in a few years 😂).

Roman bloody hell!!!!! That's phenomenal! Well done!! 35lbs in 6 months. You must be so proud of yourself! Ah it's good to have a day off though. Cheat day! 😄😄 with Insanity I had a cheat day every week and loved it! All the bad foods 😂😂😂😂

PlinkPlink · 25/10/2018 11:50

Just read that back... what a moronic statement from me:

"Never felt anything like it which is how I knew it was different"

Dear, oh dear. I meant that's how I knew it was really special/different/pregnancy 🙈🙈🙈😂😂

yumyumpoppycat · 25/10/2018 12:51

Plink I love your posts Grin I know exactly what you meant but slightly jealous never to have had that myself Envy

Roman - that is whats currently happening to me I am getting heavier and heavier. It just creeeeeeeeeps on. Well if current steady 2lb a week is creeping Hmm I think I need to accept I have 2 options - either cut out all junk, white flour, chocolate etc or log on mFP properly every day FOREVER. It's weird though I think the exercise is tonning me but my tummy is humoungous.
