Thought I would start a new thread as we have literally run out of room on the last one Grin

PS roman I have started eating those fibre cake things you mentioned and at first I wasn't impressed but now I am addicted!

PlinkPlink · 15/10/2018 23:48

Roman as long as you're getting it into your macros and calories, it's a-okay Grin guilt free cereal Grin

Well done on the workout Yum and the ham snack. Protein is gooood 😂 I always think a protein snack is better than anything else. Takes more energy for the body to digest so in theory it's a better option.

I did my Stretch workout tonight. Lovely!! Particularly loved the Pigeon pose stuff. Also have a physio appointment for Thurs. Thought I'd be waiting weeks but they rang this morning and it was all sorted. Super!

Next workout begins week 2 of T25. The pace I've set of every other day is manageable and I'm really enjoying it. Getting back into the swing of things- yay!

Reastie · 16/10/2018 10:04

Plink that’s great news about the physio.

Yumy we,l done on the evening snacking. We have early dinner here and I always have soup and no pudding then an hour or so later have fruit and yoghurt, so it’s like a belated pudding to make it last longer.

I got a bfp this morning! I knew I’d been feeling weird but thought it was just in my head. The smell of the apples in a bag in the hall for harvest festival seemed to be filling the house unpleasantly and have been feeling really queasy when eating certain things. Very early so who knows what’ll happen, I’m happy taking each day at a fine at this stage. Yesterday (before I knew) did a gentle yoga. Today was going to do spin but I’m not really in the mood now. Started in my pg sickness medication as have already been feeling sick and the earlier you start it the better, but it’s made me very very woozy so I’m sitting in the sofa feeling like I might nod off. If I’m up to it I’ll do BA but low impact this afternoon although I suspect I won’t manage it.

yumyumpoppycat · 16/10/2018 11:06

Oh my goodness Reastie!!!!!!!!!!!!! fingers crossed for you and hope the medication helps Flowers

Theromanempire · 16/10/2018 12:37

Reastie omg, congratulations!! Hope that these early days are ok and just listen to your body and don't try and do too much Smile

Plink I do like the T25 stretch workout and still do it occasionally - some of the stretches are a bit uncomfortable but the pigeon ones are amazing - I could stay in them forever as I just find them really comfortable (I always remember a yoga instructor explaining that everyone is different and a stretch that someone finds easy, others will find hard etc and pigeon pose is definitely my stretch!)

Yum yay, we are on track with each other now. I did Week 3 Chest and Triceps yesterday. Don't know about you but I could not do 60 seconds of the 180 jump squats - started modifying at about 30 seconds every time Shock So hard! Yet the soccer run, I could do forever!! Doing Back and Biceps tonight then Clubbercise - perfect evening of workouts!

PlinkPlink · 16/10/2018 15:17

Shock Reastie !! How exciting!!! Eek! Take it easy and be good to yourself. I remember trying Insanity whilst I was unaware I was pregnant in the first few weeks. Couldn't work out why I was so exhausted and needed to cut it short 😂 glad I listened to my body though.

Definitely Roman ! The other one I really liked was the shoulder extension. Table top into shoulder extension... Now that was good. I have so many knots in my shoulders and back. I got tingles after the workout. It obviously released some tension there.

PlinkPlink · 16/10/2018 15:18

Hey Purple, did you get round to cvx in the end? Smile

Reastie · 16/10/2018 15:34

Thermo sounds like a busy workout day today!

Thanks for the congrats. It hasn’t sunk in and it’s early so I’m not getting excited yet, just getting anxious about feeling terrible. Did ba 30 min this afternoon but literally walked through the moves just to do something as had been lying on the sofa all day and didn’t want to do nothing whilst I still felt I could give something a shot.

Weird thing, I weighed myself this morning before I knew and it was the lowest it’s been in months. Usually I’m 138-140 lbs but today it was 135.8 lbs. that’s some weird reverse bloat kind of magic! Usually with pmt my weight goes down a bit but never that much. I’m sure I’ll easily put it and lots more on with the amount of eating to help the nausea that I’ll soon be doing. Last time I put on over 5 stone (not including the actual baby so more like well over 6 stone) as eating was one of the only things that helped.

PlinkPlink · 16/10/2018 16:22

Ugh I remember that Reastie.

I had to take tablets for my morning sickness. That horrible constant sick feeling. Only being able to eat bland foods for about 3 months. And having to constantly eat in order to ease it a bit 😂😂😂

I'd forgotten about that bit 😂😂

Well done on your BA workout Smile

yumyumpoppycat · 16/10/2018 18:03

no no Pigeon pose is MY stretch Wink how weird is that - probably the only stretch I do better than some of the cast!

Reastie, maybe you have been unknowingly eating less due to mild nausea. I ended up thinner after dc2 due to nausea at first then indigestion the rest of the time (!) but gained with the other 2.

Talking of gain I was up 1lb after a 'good' day yesterday, flipping scales.

Roman I totally agree about 180s - I prob dont even get to 20 seconds. I did a few jumps then copied sam. Day 2 today I quite liked it - a lot of the same moves but no HIIT made it feel different. BTW Joel seems extra friendly with Ashley Joy - is she his girlfriend?

Reastie · 16/10/2018 18:08

See pigeon pose makes my knee feel a bit twisted in a not quite right way. I wonder which stretch is my pose.... I like sitting with palms of the feet (are bottoms of feet called palms? I’m not sure) touching and pressing knees down towards the floor as I can get them really far down. I remember when we used to do it in my yoga class it was the one move I felt I had more flexibility in than everyone else (even the teacher). Now, I know yoga isn’t about competition and that defeats the whole point etc, but I still felt proud!

Theromanempire · 16/10/2018 18:09

yum yes, that is me too - the only stretch I do better than the cast is the pigeon sequence Grin

No, Joel is married to an uber fit, uber muscly blond Hmm not jealous at all Envy definitely not Ashley Joy!

reastie with DS2, I had to eat stodge to fend off nausea- no wonder I put so much weight on! With DS1, I was nauseous until lunch, ok for a few hours then nauseous in the evening so I was literally eating once a day in the first few months. Soon made up for it once I felt better 🤣

OP posts:
Theromanempire · 16/10/2018 18:11

reastie that's the butterfly one and I love that one too. Hate downward dogs with a passion and anything that does hip flexor - the hip flexor sequence in T25 is torture for me!

OP posts:
PlinkPlink · 16/10/2018 18:31

Yes Roman can't bloody stand the hip flexor stuff!! I like swan diving down and touching the palms of my hands to the floor. I feel super flexible when doing it 😂 (about the only time I feel super flexible).

😂😂😂😂 Reastie pahaha palms of your feet. I think they're called soles 😂😂😂 proper made me laugh. Ah yeah butterfly pose... makes my knees feel very awkwardly out of place and about to dislocate my kneecap again 😂 nice stretch on the inside of my thighs though.

I've stopped looking at the scales so much yum . I get so disheartened even when it goes up by very little. I'm gonna stick to just weekly weigh ins. My weight fluctuates so much over the course of a few days. Pisses me off 😂 just stay where you were you bastard scales!! Doesn't help that I have to step on them two or three times for an accurate measurement. Our floor is uneven so the first reading is always too much. So I end up being 5lbs heavier for the first reading Angry

Theromanempire · 16/10/2018 21:24

plink team RH suggest weighing everyday and you do a weekly average to see if you have lost weight or not. Your weight naturally fluctuates so this evens that out...if you are on Facebook, look for team RH and watch some of his videos. They are enlightening!!

Purpleraindeer · 16/10/2018 22:08

I’m loving this thread being busy again!
Plink I weigh myself on consecutive days until I get the weight I want. I was horrified when I weighed in on Monday but mysteriously had lost a kg by this morning. I won’t be weighing myself tomorrow just in case it’s all gone back on again!

Reastie Flowers I’m so delighted for you. Hope the nausea is ok and it doesn’t ruin your half term plans. As some of the others have said, no 2 pregnancies are alike so it might be better than last time. It is awful though. With dd my nausea was constant and I was randomly puking right up to 25wks, with ds it was a lot better and I don’t remember being sick nearly as often. Well done for doing workouts. I officially took to the sofa both pregnancies.

Yes i finally did cvx. It nearly killed me today having not been too bad last week. I’ve got the challenge tomorrow.

Reastie · 17/10/2018 07:08

Plink I can totally blame baby brain as a legit excuse though, right?! I was writing it thinking ‘I’m sure it’s not palms of feet, it doesn’t sound right’ but I couldn’t think of the right name.

Got dh to bring in the bike and turbo yesterday so hoping for a cycle today. Don’t think I’ll do a proper spin class as medication still making me woozy and getting dizzy quite a lot but if I can manage half an hour cycling I’ll be happy that I’ve done something.

Purple good luck with the challenge today. I used to hate that one but always felt good when it was over!

PlinkPlink · 17/10/2018 12:05

Thanks Roman . I'm not on FB. Used to be but got rid. Best decision ever but it does mean I miss out on some stuff that's actually useful or fun. I'll look it up on Google though and see if I can find anything Smile

Purple that's a good idea. Stopping when you get to the weight you want. I'm not where I want but I'm at my pre-pregnancy weight when I was really fit. So I might stop there for a bit. My scales tell me I've only 25% body fat so I'm happy with that (though I'm a bit dubious - might go to Boots and get one of those weigh in ticket things instead). Good luck with the challenge today. Tell us how it goes.

Haha Reastie yes you can!! 😂😂 half an hour on the bike sounds good. DH does all the heavy lifting from now on ha. I always wanted to try one of those Pilates groups when I was pg but never got round to it.

I'm on Week 2 of T25 tonight. I'm hoping LO sleeps better tonight. The other night he woke up 4 times whilst i was trying to do the lower workout one. Disaster 😂 Last night he was up, wide awake at about 4am. Same with the previous night. It's exhausting. Think it's teeth, poor little mite.

Purpleraindeer · 17/10/2018 20:40

Plink - how old is your LO? I remember the torture of workouts interrupted by crying well. You are doing well to keep going if you’re having sleepless nights too.

The Challenge is done! I accidentally pressed ‘music and cues’ so I heard none of Tony’s banter. Was odd. It made the breaks feel very long. I quite missed his chit chat by the end as you need to rest between sets and I was just staring at a silent screen!

PlinkPlink · 17/10/2018 21:22

He's 16 months Purple so much for him to explore and do. My MIL always tells me OH was so placid and chilled when he was DS's age. So it all comes from my genes. I was an energetic whirlwind.

I am lying next to him at the moment trying not to give in to the idea of skipping a workout. He's been a ball of energy today and I feel a bit zapped.
Today was the first day he managed to open the door in the lounge. It's quite high up and we don't have a stair gate at the bottom of the stairs yet so I've been following him round like a shadow. He also, for the first time, climbed up onto the sofa on his own. So I haven't really been able to let him out of my sight. If I let him play in the conservatory, he climbs up on to the dining chair. I caught him trying to wriggle onto the dining table as well. Nightmare!!! 😂😂😂

Yay well done on the challenge!! Haha how bizarre you can't hear him. I like the motivation talk they do... when Shaun T stares at the screen? Yaaaaaas!!!!! Focus!!!!! 😂😂😂

I saw something the other day guys that I desperately want to do ... i think I'm mad though. It was an advert for the Insanity Asylum... oh lordy... I wanna do that!!!! 😂😂 I must be a glutton for punishment 😂

Purpleraindeer · 18/10/2018 06:53

I seem to have blocked out the crawling phase in my mind - I really can’t remember any of it apart from it was very hard work plink! I do remember dd climbing into the coal bucket when I turned away for a second. That was a low.

I’ve done the first 4 wks of insanity asylum twice. It is hard. I always end up getting ill after 4 wks so I’ve not finished it. It’s worth a go though

Theromanempire · 18/10/2018 11:02

Omg, the crawling/walking phase, I don't envy you at all plink I still shudder when I think about those years between 1-3 when you literally could not turn your back for a second although to be fair, dS1 was a 'runner' so would literally run/crawl away at the first opportunity he could. My 2 personal lows were firstly when DS1 was just turned 1 and it was my parent's ruby wedding anniversary party. I thought DH was watching DS1 and he thought I was and it turns out neither of us were...we found him quickly crawling his way out of the front door of the venue towards the carpark Blush I do wonder how far he would have gone if we hadn't found him when we did. Second one was in the gym changing rooms - taken him swimming and I was getting changed so literally naked - DS1 decides to do a runner towards the entrance of the changing rooms (which helpfully had no door and literally opened straight into the actual gym floor). Omg, I have never run so quickly to get him before he reached the entrance! From that day, I always took the pushchair with me and he was strapped in as soon as he was dressed Grin I can laugh now but life is so difficult when you have an explorer/runner. Fortunately DS2 was the exact opposite and would never dream of leaving my side unless I had given him permission to or he was being led astray by DS1 Angry

Insanity asylum sounds totally crazy and I am assuming very hard Wink give it a go - what have you got to lose by trying it?

Rest day for me yesterday and then on with Day 3 of week 3 of Liift today - shoulders! Think this is my favourite format f the 3 as the Hiit part is only 30 seconds of each move and then you get a rest whilst you do some weights - even I can do most Hiit moves for 30 seconds Wink

OP posts:
PlinkPlink · 18/10/2018 17:34

It's mad isn't it? My DM reassured me that it will get easier. I'm sure it will but it feels never ending at the moment. He's so adventurous which in some ways I'm really proud of and excited for. Laughing at your stories though... coal buckets, car parks and changing rooms 😂😂😂

Oh well done Purple !! That's awesome! I'd say 4 weeks of it is a bloody accomplishment. It looks ridiculous!

Got to love rest day Roman . Ooh that sounds quite nice. 30 secs HIIT and 30 secs weights.

Reastie How are you feeling today? Hopefully the sickness isn't too bad?

yumyumpoppycat · 18/10/2018 20:30

Plink - I am going against the tide - I absolutely loved the toddling stage, although tbf none of mine were runners, it's now they are older they behave badly!

Roman - Joel's wife is blonde and uber fit - that is just typical. They so missell him on the HIIT4 advert sittting on the sofa with his cute cat alone Wink

Hope your relaxed cycle went went well Reastie.

Purple - Insanity Max 30 has that affect on me - my body literally feels broken if I do it 2 days in a row - never mind 4 weeks. Dread to think what would happen if I did Insanity the asylum properly.

Weak 3 shoulders for me too - that was my favourite easiest workout so far. Definitely my preference to mix the HIIT and weights. Not sure how accurate it is but BBOD are telling me I am averaging 4.8 workouts a week so I think I am on track for my 50 workouts by christmas.

yumyumpoppycat · 18/10/2018 20:31
