pinkponiesrock, some of us MN cyclists followed each other on strava a couple of years back for the Rapha women's 100km event.
atomicnotsoblonde, hope your treadmill will help you still get your runs in without worrying about babysitters! (and help channel your inner bull!)

6.5 miles today, making the most of banking some miles before work gets busier! (running total =12.8)

ShoopShoop · 02/01/2018 21:17

Thanks pink - managed to add yesterday's effort thanks to your help 😊.

No extra mileage kilometage this evening but managed my 10,000 steps, 10 floors and am under my calorie allowance today so can't complain too much.

Thanks also for the Strides recommendation Bit - downloaded that one too as I'm trying to create some more healthy habits at the moment....this will be the year I finally sort my shit out!

7.2km down, 992.8km to go.....😱

SokokeCat · 02/01/2018 22:43

On Strava, do a search for 1000km challenge and there is a club to join.

I'm logging only runs, not walks. Now 10/1000km for running and 11/1000miles for biking.

I found a few PDFs for logging numbers, you colour in a square per km or mile so something visual for your progress. I'll add them here tomorrow.

atomicnotsoblonde · 02/01/2018 22:51

Solo What's the exact name of the club?

SokokeCat · 02/01/2018 23:23

Run 1000km in 2018

CottonEyeJosephine · 03/01/2018 13:14

Just a quick 3k on my lunch break today, so now at 13/1000

ShoopShoop · 03/01/2018 13:48

3.9km on lunch break today.

Forgot trainers and have really rubbed the backs of my heels and feeling slightly queasy about the prospect of hobbling on my commute home later....

Having to cheat slightly and log my walks as runs on Strava, otherwise they don't contribute to my goal. Would love to log only runs but am too unfit at the moment....maybe next year!

11.1 done, 988.9 to go

SkiGirl007 · 03/01/2018 17:30

Got off to good start 17k on nyd and 4.5k tonight.

Well done all others efforts it’s tough getting out in this wet n windy weather!

Total 21.5k done

Iwantacampervan · 03/01/2018 17:42

I've signed up for the 'Country Walking' 1000 miles so will be logging my walks this year. I'm counting "boots on" miles but also want to go for longer walks when I have time and to visit different areas.
14.5 miles so far but not back at college/work yet!

LoveVelo · 03/01/2018 17:43

Nothing for me today and long day at work planned tomorrow so next run will be Friday.
Good effort on all getting out today, it's been horrible!

Pinkponiesrock · 03/01/2018 18:05

I didn’t really do anything today, planning running club tomorrow evening. It’s quite a late finish so a bit of thought but I always love the sessions and feel so much better at the end! I never run as hard or as fast as I do at club, amazing what a bit of friendly competition can do Grin

Tiredemma · 03/01/2018 18:39

I also did nothing today (went to Bodypump yesterday and can barely move my limbs!)

Planning to do 5ktomorrow...

6.28 km run after work to,add to my 5 parkrun. I'm not on Strava as I use Runkeeper. I just log my distance in my diary as I sometimes run without my phone or my Fitbit.
WIll use this thread as a log too I think and might sign up to a Virtual Race (love the bling).

ShoopShoop · 04/01/2018 13:23

Still so blustery out there today. Managed 4km on my lunch break today. Remembered my trainers this time.

Hoping to do a bit more later - off to an event and have plotted a route where I can get off the tube a few stops early.

15.1/984.9

Lowdoorinthewal1 · 04/01/2018 14:18

Can I join on my ergo? 18k done since Jan 1st. Signed up for the Concept 2 'row every day in January' challenge so that should get me off to a decent start.

I haven't exercised properly in years but so far body is holding up.

atomicnotsoblonde · 04/01/2018 20:49

5k today. Rest day tomorrow.

9 done/991 to go...

ShoopShoop · 04/01/2018 22:57

Wow well done Low - I literally can't do any more than 2k at a time on the erg.....I'm so unfit 😩.

Another 2.6km tonight.

17.8/982.2

BistoBear · 04/01/2018 23:24

Can I join in? My number are as follows;

Jan 1st - park run 3.1 miles
Jan 2nd - shortbread run 2 miles
Jan 3rd - 2 mile jog to work (got the train half way)

Total of 7.1 miles

Hoping to achieve 2018 miles between running and cycling 🤞🏻🤞🏻😀

SokokeCat · 04/01/2018 23:35

I did 20 miles on the bike today...argh, it was tough as it was so windy.
Anyway 31/1000 miles for biking, 10/1000km for running.
Rest day tomorrow as my legs are going to suffer after the bike.

Lowdoorinthewal1 · 05/01/2018 07:50

Thanks Shoop. I used to be a rower so I kind of know how to make an ergo 'go'. Trust me, I couldn't run to the end of my drive!!

'D'H decided to buy us an ergo for Christmas so now there is no pretending I don't have time to go out and exercise..

Lowdoorinthewal1 · 05/01/2018 07:51

Hope the weather is better for all you outdoorcizers today!

Pinkponiesrock · 05/01/2018 08:37

We did a pyramid tempo session last night at club, it was so tough!
The group I’d been running with before I got injured, then didn’t bother doing any running for the remaining 6 months of the yearblew me away by 2.5 miles in Sad
Resolved to keep up the mileage, dig deep and get some form back!

Anyone else Parkrunning on Saturday? Our local one is one of the hilliest in the country 😩 so tough as it’s loops going up the same hill 3 times!
So I’ll need to go another 5 miles on Sunday to make up my 20 for the week.

LoveVelo · 05/01/2018 17:57

Trot round local reservoir today, was hoping to do 2 laps but was just too muddy, so 2.4 miles for today. Running total = 15.2
Looking forward to a steady one tomorrow (to be fair, mine are always steady!)

ladymelbourne1926 · 05/01/2018 20:05

I Am at a running total of 5 miles, not great I know but it's something :)

Lowdoorinthewal1 · 05/01/2018 20:26

Up to 30.6k having done a 10min HIIT and 30min steady state today.

I am pleased my machine is in a nice dry room in my house listening to all your tales of mud and hills. Grin
