Good and fast this morning, it's been a long time since I really felt like I'd pushed myself as I've been nursing this foot, but did my fastest KM for a while (4m 52s)

BitOutOfPractice · 15/12/2018 12:22

I've Fobe parkrun this morning. It was a chilly one!

725 / 25 getting close!

BitOutOfPractice · 15/12/2018 12:22

*done

SkiMum99 · 15/12/2018 16:49

Swam 1km last night, sadly no ParkRun today with the storm conditions and torrential rain coming down sideways.
Well done bear on your super fast km/split it’s a good feeling when it suddenly comes together again. Your within touching distance now bit hope the running goes well.

SkiMum99 · 16/12/2018 13:17

10k run this morning before the rain and wind returned again at 11am with vengeance 😬 real stormy winters weather this weekend.

31.2 miles of walking done this week. I'm nearly at the 1000 mile mark!!

I'm definitely up for doing this again in 2019!

973.89/26.11

13 miles for the next 2 weeks and I'll hit 1000 miles, pretty sure I'll manage that!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 17/12/2018 08:14

Amazing Amy, well done. Have you worked out what it is in a relative distance? (Ie. 1400km is the length of Britain by road), so 1600k/1000 miles is.....I don't know! But it sounds good!) Have you lost weight doing it?

I did a slippy, ice patch-y 5km this morning.

That's 1532.5

I'd love to get to the 1600/1000 mile point but I think I might be slightly over stretching myself given the next few weeks! Next year I'm going to count backwards from this year's total to try and beat it.

amysaurus87 · 17/12/2018 10:51

@thenewaverage it's just over the entire length of New Zealand! I've lost the majority of my pregnancy weight gain (3 and a half stone) so that's been a real bonus!

I'm determined to do more next year!

SkiMum99 · 19/12/2018 06:35

That’s a brill distance amy and well done losing the pregnancy lbs it’s not easy doing that. Hope you enjoy the last couple of weeks walking.
Yes I’d be up for a 2019 thread to track my year Smile not sure on my goal, think I’ll try for a 1000km again see if my body can avoid injuries.

SkiMum99 · 19/12/2018 06:37

Talking about the length of New Zealand did you read “Pants of Perspective” by Anna Mc Nuff I really enjoyed it her journey running New Zealand.

Running 695.5k
Skiing 20k
Rowing 18k,
Cycling 619k
Coastal Walking 18k
Swimming 51.2k = total 1419.6k

BitOutOfPractice · 19/12/2018 20:07

I'm on 732 / 18 soooo close.

I've worked out that 750km is the equivalent of running from my home in se England to Geneva. I'm impressed with that.

I'm catching a plane back though Grin

SkiMum99 · 20/12/2018 20:51

Not via Gatwick I hope! Your Sooo close. bit gd luck.

Swim for me today, getting a niggle again grrr from old C-sec scar tissue same thing got triggered last time I ran HM. Need my runs at the moment to keep me sane with work stress & Xmas.... it was nice to swim today though and just focus on breathing. I’ve swam over a km a week now Smile this year. I really would like to get more swimming in next year though.

Swim total 52.2K

BitOutOfPractice · 20/12/2018 23:09

You're a machine ski. You've done so so well. I know exactly what you mean about exercise and sanity.

Though I have to say that the thought of having to run again tomorrow is making me a bit teary. I'm so tired.

737 / 13

thenewaveragebear1983 · 21/12/2018 08:20

Christmas do tonight, rest day tomorrow, 10km Santa fun run on Sunday!

SkiMum99 · 22/12/2018 14:27

Festive leggings ParkRun today + little extra to get there from the carpark. Over the 700k now Smile don’t think I’m gonna make the 750 now but I’m happy to have re-built distance after still nursing niggling long running injury issue.

Running 701k
Skiing 20k
Rowing 18k,
Cycling 619k
Coastal Walking 18k
Swimming 52.2k = total 1426k

SkiMum99 · 22/12/2018 14:29

Thanks for the encouragement bit I don’t think I’m a machine just an overweight middle aged weary mum most of the time. I’m the only person I know to run loads and not lose a flipping lb! Good 2stone to lose...ho hum I keep trying Wink

BitOutOfPractice · 22/12/2018 17:47

You sound like me ski

6km run today. 743 / 7

Applepudding2018 · 22/12/2018 18:02

Interesting idea. I couldn't run for a bus - but desperately need to do a bit more exercise.. I'm going to try to walk 1000 km next year - that's just under 3 km a day - sounds about right to start me off. Current baseline is popping dog round the block about 4 days per week (DS normally walks him)

thenewaveragebear1983 · 23/12/2018 11:17

10km

1553.5

BitOutOfPractice · 23/12/2018 20:38

748 / 2

I'm going to jog that last 2km then relax in the spa. Then go to the pub

amysaurus87 · 24/12/2018 07:30

Argh I'm so annoyed with myself! My maths was wrong with my mile count! So despite walking 28.87 miles this week, I haven't actually hit the 1000 mile target.

After a big recount earlier my new and correct total is...

992.99/7.01

7 miles this week....easy peasy!
