30 Day Shred... anyone want to join me?

I started in Feb and managed 25 days or so but got a stinking cold and my whole health kick went down the drain. Think 8lbs heavier now Shock

I started yesterday with Day 1 Level 1 and determined to keep up with it.

I've also started playing tennis again and I'm determined that by my hols in 7 weeks I will be fitting back in my size 12 clothes.

Anyone want to join in with some daily motivation?

L3 D7 done.

NefretForth · 27/09/2017 19:05

Can I join? I'm on L1 Day 4 of the Shred. I've done it before but have really fallen off the exercise wagon in the last six months, so I needed to start again and get my act together.

Hi Nefret!
Level 3 D8
I need to think about what I will do when I have finished....

thetoothfairywhoforgot · 28/09/2017 10:44

Hi Nefret

L1D7 completed.

My DVD finally arrived just as I was about to give up. So now I can see everything properly for the first time. Those girls do keep a very straight face, don't they. I wonder if it is botox.

The only bit I really struggle with now is the bastard bicycle crunches at the end. Have purchased 1.5kg weights.

NefretForth · 28/09/2017 19:15

L1 D5 done. It's the first strength circuit that gets to me: my upper body has got really weedy since I last Shredded. I can just about do one full set of proper push-ups, but I have to go onto my knees for the second set.

clearsomespace, Ripped in 30 is a good one to move on to. Basically the same format as the Shred, though very slightly longer. (Not very much longer: L1 of the Shred is 27 minutes according to my DVD player!). Some of it significantly more evil, though!

NefretForth · 29/09/2017 20:59

L1 D6 done. I'm going to have the weekend off the Shred but may do one of JM's yoga DVDs tomorrow.

thetoothfairywhoforgot · 30/09/2017 00:35

I spoke too soon - have injured my knee. Probably have poor form.

Had yesterday off and did L1D8 today. But couldn't finish the cardio as it hurt too much. Think I'll need a couple of days to recover. Then we are off on trip which involves lots of bush/forest and beach walking so I need to be better.

On my day off I did a couple of the 5 min sessions on the app so will do those instead.

Still haven't lost a single pound.

clearsommespace · 02/10/2017 07:59

Oh that's a bummer toothfairy. I hope you recover soon.
Level 3 day 9.
I do have Ripped in 30. Did it a few years back. It certainly is evil. I don't think I can manage this pace (30 mins every morning every weekday) long term. Perhaps I'll do it every other day....
I definitely need to set myself an objective otherwise I won't do anything.

chloechloe · 02/10/2017 10:22

Hi everyone!

I had a really bad week last week and only managed one session Blush Hoping to get back on it today.

somme you're nearly finished - good work!

clearsommespace · 03/10/2017 11:45

Level 3 Day 10.
I've finished Grin

NefretForth · 03/10/2017 18:16

L1 D7 done. I had three days off the Shred, which I didn't intend, but did at least manage Yoga Meltdown L1 on Saturday.

Well done clearsomme!

clearsommespace · 04/10/2017 09:10

I did Ripped Level 2 today. 2 minutes of cardio in plank! Ouch!

NefretForth · 04/10/2017 16:40

Yes, that plank cardio circuit is the pits. I'll really know I'm fit if I can ever do that without stopping.

L1D8 done here.

clearsommespace · 06/10/2017 09:03

Ripped L2 again. I'm going to try to do each level 10 times but starting on L2. Maybe by the 10th time I'll manage the plank cardio!

Gemi33 · 14/10/2017 19:59

Hi

Is anyone about to start this? I've tried it before but not completed it. I'm trying to motivate myself to start it tomorrow - I'm really unfit and have put lots of weight on and hoping this will give me a jumpstart. How do you motivate yourself to do it when you really don't feel like it? I give up way to easily! Anyone found this has really helped with weight loss?

xx
