30 Day Shred... anyone want to join me?

I started in Feb and managed 25 days or so but got a stinking cold and my whole health kick went down the drain. Think 8lbs heavier now Shock

I started yesterday with Day 1 Level 1 and determined to keep up with it.

I've also started playing tennis again and I'm determined that by my hols in 7 weeks I will be fitting back in my size 12 clothes.

Anyone want to join in with some daily motivation?

L1 D8 complete.

Still here, and trying to keep going before holidays in a couple of weeks but not got time to do it every day. Skimmed through level 2 to give me a reminder of what is to come - not looking forward to it Grin

Grin Mine are used to waking up to find me a red faced mess. Neither are particularly sporty so I like to think I am setting them a good example ( rather than traumatising them!)
clearsommespace · 04/09/2017 09:51

Level 1 Day 8 done.

Moppet5 · 04/09/2017 23:08

Hi, may I join too? I am on Level 2, Day 2. Level 1 took me ages as I kept stopping and starting! Also starting using a Fitbit, lots of walking and zumba, one class a week and the occasional 20 minute DVD.

clearsommespace · 05/09/2017 06:15

I'm not surprised Level 1 took so long with all that extra exercise Moppet.
Level 1 Day 9 done. Those hideous V raises are looming....

9GreenBottles · 05/09/2017 11:51

L1D9 complete.

Interrupted twice today by delivery drivers who both got to see me as a sweaty red faced woman with a dressing gown thrown on to cover my exercising outfit (although they do get the delight of black socks with trainers - nice look!)

chloechloe · 06/09/2017 11:20

Hello everyone! I was posting on here in the summer but then fell into a rut of not doing anything. The last few months have been difficult with DD2, AKA The Baby That Does Not Sleep. I fear the long-term sleep deprivation might tip me over the edge if I'm not careful. So my plan is to get back on the exercise as I'm sure the endorphins will help to keep me sane.

So D1 of L1 done today whilst DD1 was at nursery and with DD2 climbing up my legs. Had to stop half way to BF her and ended up doing several exercises with additional weight!

9Green Fear not, I've opened the door to DHL in much worse!

clearsommespace · 06/09/2017 12:16

Goodness Chloe, you really were determined to get it done today.
Level 1 Day 10 complete. Level 2 tomorrow.

clearsommespace · 07/09/2017 07:54

Level 2 Day 1.
I wouldn't say it was easy but it definitely was not as hard as when I did it back in June. I am feeling quite chuffed as I am obviously fitter.

chloechloe · 07/09/2017 11:05

Good work somme - it's great when you notice that your fitness levels have gone up! You're an early bird exerciser!

D2 of L1 done, again with climbing baby. The only way I can fit it in is when she's around as she only sleeps 30 min unless I put her in the carrier and she doesn't settle in the evenings until late.

My muscles are sore from yesterday but I got through it ok!

clearsommespace · 07/09/2017 11:17

I'm an hour ahead but yes I do like to get it out of the way. Once out of bed it's not too bad and I can be sure there won't be any deliveries Grin

9GreenBottles · 07/09/2017 21:34

L1 D10 complete. Not looking forward to Level 2...

Moppet5 · 07/09/2017 22:25

L2 D3 and it hurts today!

clearsommespace · 08/09/2017 08:55

L2 D2
It was harder going today. A little stiffness from yesterday combined with broken sleep.

chloechloe · 08/09/2017 10:16

D3 of L1 done with baby cruising along my back during the push ups Grin

Out of interest (and sorry to derail the thread slightly) but has anybody used the Kayla Itsines app at all? I really like the look of the workouts but it's pricey, especially considering how much free stuff is available on the internet.

clearsommespace · 09/09/2017 12:18

Sorry I don't know about it. Rest day for me today although biking into town this afternoon and it's uphill on the way back.

clearsommespace · 10/09/2017 10:46

L2D3
Had to keep pausing to drink (Indulged in a couple of glasses of wine last night).

clearsommespace · 11/09/2017 08:06

L2 D4 complete.

9GreenBottles · 11/09/2017 12:24

L2D1 complete. Cardio not as bad as level 1 for me, but I feel a strange twinge in my hamstring from some of the lunges. More warmup needed next time!

clearsommespace · 12/09/2017 08:49

9green I find the cardio much harder in Level 2. I hate high knees !
L2 D5 done.

9GreenBottles · 12/09/2017 13:30

Well, my high knees are more medium to low knees and I'm definitely not doing pogoing double jump rope as high as Natalie Grin It's strange the way we can be more suited to some exercises and not to others.

L2 D2 complete.

chloechloe · 12/09/2017 19:37

D4 of L1 done yesterday. Have fallen off the bandwagon today as the baby is ill and screechy. Not sure I can face going to do it now Blush

rabaria · 12/09/2017 19:39

Haven't read the whole thread . . . Want to start this next week and I'm wondering about rest days? Do you take one after each level , or once a week?

clearsommespace · 13/09/2017 01:01

I wouldn't read the whole thread. It's not exactly an eye-opening debate Grin
JM says on a different workout DVD to take at least one rest day a week.
chloe hope your baby perks up quickly

clearsommespace · 13/09/2017 08:14

L2 D6 complete
