30 Day Shred... anyone want to join me?

I started in Feb and managed 25 days or so but got a stinking cold and my whole health kick went down the drain. Think 8lbs heavier now Shock

I started yesterday with Day 1 Level 1 and determined to keep up with it.

I've also started playing tennis again and I'm determined that by my hols in 7 weeks I will be fitting back in my size 12 clothes.

Anyone want to join in with some daily motivation?

Thanks somme, she just has a cold but she's teething as well and it's making her pretty miserable poor thing.

Welcome rabaria!

L2D7 complete. Just realised I am more than half way through.Smile

chloechloe · 14/09/2017 12:04

Good work somme! D5 of L1 done today for me.

clearsommespace · 15/09/2017 08:59

L2 D8 complete. Rest day tomorrow.

chloechloe · 15/09/2017 11:48

D6 of L1 done. Will try and carry on over the weekend to catch up on the days I've missed. I have the impression that my tummy is looking a lot more toned shame about the hips and my quads are looking much more defined. Am dreading level 2, it's ages since I did it but I recall done awful moves!

chloechloe · 16/09/2017 11:05

D7 of L1 done!

clearsommespace · 17/09/2017 07:56

L2 D9 done. The moves I hate are high knees and squat thrusts, V raises. I have made my peace with plank twists.

chloechloe · 18/09/2017 12:26

D8 of L1 done.

Stupid question, but how many days of L1 should I be doing? Think I'll go for 10 even though I've had a few rest days in between as I like round numbers! (Totally OCD but when doing the reps I can't finish in an odd number either Blush)!

clearsommespace · 18/09/2017 12:53

I'm doing 10 of each level which means I completed level 2 this morning. I can feel my body has adapted to the moves so I don't think one would get much benefit from repeating for even longer.
So Chloe, do you add an extra one or do one less in order to even out the reps?

clearsommespace · 19/09/2017 11:29

L3 D1
Such a relief to have finished level 2.

chloechloe · 19/09/2017 13:21

D9 L1 done, I think I'll go for 10 too as it's a nice round number! I round my reps up, even the evil push ups!

thetoothfairywhoforgot · 19/09/2017 22:16

New starter here. L1D3. I been doing it barefoot and no extra stretches. Feel okay apart from my calves which are so tight and sore.

Been using 500g tins of soup. Off to buy weights today.

clearsommespace · 20/09/2017 05:12

Hello tooth fairy.
Extra leg stretches should help with the calves. On the workout, the arm stretches are sufficient but the leg stretches need to be twice as long IMO.

clearsommespace · 21/09/2017 12:24

L3D3 done.

chloechloe · 21/09/2017 12:58

Only 7 days to go somme, good work!

L1D10 done for me. L2 beckons, have forgotten what's in it as it's been so long since the last time!

thetoothfairywhoforgot · 21/09/2017 22:14

Thanks clearsomme. I had a day off and went back to it yesterday with shoes and extra stretches. Now my calves and the rest of me are just a wee bit sore rather than bloody agony. W

Wondering if I can stick with it though. Any my DVD hasn't even arrived yet! (Am in NZ)

clearsommespace · 23/09/2017 18:52

Glad you are no longer in agony. I had 2 rest days because of a work thing which meant getting up at 6 to be on time yesterday. Wasn't going to get up even earlier to Shred! Saturday is my usual rest day and I was exhausted after Friday so decided to keep it as a rest day.

clearsommespace · 24/09/2017 07:31

Level 3 D4 done.
Chloe, have you seen the last ab move from L3 is totally lopsided? How will you cope ?
Toothfairy, you can do it! The first few days are the worst because of the stiffness.

thetoothfairywhoforgot · 24/09/2017 09:10

I've managed 5/7 days this week which was my aim. Plus some serious spring gardening this weekend.

Main problem is feeling awful for a few hours after and needing a wee sit down hour long nap which is cutting into my work time.

Today I shredded at 7pm while DD watched and hopefully I will just sleep well tonight.

I'm in awe of you L2 and 3ers.

chloechloe · 24/09/2017 12:44

I didn't manage to do anything for the last two days and probably won't manage today either.

It's been so long since I've done level 3 that I don't remember the lopsided ab move somme! On the whole the unequal number of moves does wind me up though!

clearsommespace · 25/09/2017 08:03

5/7 is great. I can see that the exhaustion afterwards being really inconvenient. I wonder if it will pass as your body adjusts or if there is something to be concerned about. (I usually feel physically tired but mentally alert and not sleepy for a few hours afterwards.)
L3 D5 here.

chloechloe · 25/09/2017 09:46

D1 of L2 done. The cardio is evil!!!!

clearsommespace · 25/09/2017 12:28

Isn't it! I prefer L3 cardio (although the rock star jumps are also pretty evil!)

thetoothfairywhoforgot · 26/09/2017 07:15

Is it wrong that we got Domino's pizza so I had time to shred tonight?

D6L1 done.

I am feeling better and the aches have almost gone but haven't noticed any weight loss or inches gone yet.

clearsommespace · 26/09/2017 10:05
Grin Glad you are feeling better. L3 D6 done.
