Ooh good choice I like pyramid! I am excited to see what else you choose! One of the core de force workouts is quite good but not sure which, pos MMA shred or Power Sculpt but actually I think I prefer the MMX from p90x3. My favourite chisel workout from hammer and chisel has a step - you don't have one do you Purple?

I hate driving so walk whenever pos, so usually fit in at least 40 mins for school runs and journey to and from work during week days. It's funny how our bodies like to balance the exercise cheque book though, as if I have a busy day I feel a lot less inclined to exercise. I am sedentary (lazy) at home and will happily sit on mumsnet with mess all around me Blush Yesterday evening after work I had a burst if energy and got loads done which felt great but my reserves were more or less gone when I exercised.

Will keep that in mind Reastie, I think it would be to motivate me to keep on track more than anything so maybe accuracy is less important - I have thought about getting one before and Polar was one with better reviews, pos fitbit charge 2 is better than previous fitbits? I have seen alta mentioned on here too. Would be quite good if it would give an accurate idea of cals burned though

Reastie · 27/08/2017 08:42

Hi, trying to get through to the local leisure centre as I'm on wait list for the combat class and they told me to call at 8:30 sharp to see if I'd get a space and it keeps being blinking answer phone 'sorry the centre is now closed' grrrrr.

No place for me :( did tf hiit 20 but knees dodgy so couldn't give the 110% Charlene told me to whilst dh quaffed in the background about 110% bring impossible . Feel better for it but really wanted to do something longer, hey ho.

Yumy when I had a Fitbit on my wrist my daily steps would NEVER be at or above 10000 steps so I'd wonder what I was doing wrong, my polar I'm pretty often above 10000 so I'm certain it just wasn't that good at hr or steps, but hopefully they've got better by now. This was maybe nearly two years ago. I did various things I read online to make it more accurate.

I bought a cheap one and it has arrived, it looks really good if it works but I am concerned now about the Bluetooth aspect. I don't have a watch with a working battery so that's my justification!

That's a shame about the class but well done on TFire. TBH I think chalean prob does 110% more than me Wink she is a maniac in her star jump things.

Purpleraindeer · 27/08/2017 16:55

Sometimes only 100pc is ok reastie Smile. As Autumn says - there's no such thing as perfection, just persistence - bleughhh

Yes - I'm full of motivational chat from Autumn after doing ABC extreme today.

Theromanempire · 27/08/2017 18:44

purple what did you think of ABC Extreme? I really like most of the exercises in it apart from the 60 second squat hold followed by the squat jumps Confused

God Chalene is the Queen of inane shite - makes 'hydrate your life' sound rational Hmm

Rest day here due to family commitments which appear to be involving lots of drink, food and chocolate Wink

yumyumpoppycat · 27/08/2017 19:47

Reastie you were right this wrist tracker is useless - apparently I burned off 700 cals meandering around Tesco metro for half an hour but my heart rate didn't rise for strenuous workout. Bah.

Purple if bodyshred Amplify is on secret site maybe you could try this workout blimey it was hard and there were some new moves. Vair sweaty now.

Enjoy your rest day Roman Grin sounds fun

Reastie · 28/08/2017 07:07

Yumy if meandering around Tesco makes you burn 700 calories I'll have one of those watches please because I would get slim in no time if it makes you burthat many cals Wink

Ps I have a pedometer thing I got in the sale last year to give to someone for Christmas and then didn't as they got themselves a Fitbit and it's still kicking around and I'm not really sure what to do with it. I can't remember what it's called but will photo it when I get home if you're interested as you can have it if you like, I can post it to you. It has app etc to record results on and it clips onto you rather than a watch.

OP posts:
yumyumpoppycat · 28/08/2017 11:37

Wow Reastie thanks so much, Flowers I do have a pedometer somewhere though so should just give that another go. I am quite interested in my heart rate so I think you are right a sep chest or arm strap device is prob what's needed. I wanted something all singing and dancing, accurate and as cheap as chips which clearly doesn't exist! Even the sedentary reminder didn't work correctly on the thing I got Hmm

Purpleraindeer · 28/08/2017 14:05

Wow. I must start going to Tesco. I didn't know it was an adrenaline sport! Grin

Did speed 3.0 this am. Made very tricky by the secret site only having the loud music version so I couldn't hear the cues. I kept looking up from my burpees to find them all doing something else. No bodyshred on the secret site sadly.

yumyumpoppycat · 28/08/2017 19:33

Grin Purple - Not sure about adrenalin sport but I bet we could figure out how to make it high impact - star jumps in the queue, lunges down the aisle, 5 litre water bottle lifting?

Reastie · 28/08/2017 21:11

I found a picture of yumy at Tesco Grin

Grin ... actually that's not a bad idea!

Theromanempire · 30/08/2017 10:12

Purple well done on doing -burpee hell Speed 3.0 Grin

Love the thought of exercising in Tesco's - you could do HIIT sprints down the aisles!

Need to do Abs Fix in a bit but struggling to get motivated - DS is playing on the xbox and I am going to have shift him off which will go down well Hmm Struggling with food this week as I am at home with the DC and out of my normal work routine so I am feeling the need to eat more Confused

I avoid being photographed as much as I possibly can as I am so unphotogenic Sad However, on the rare occasions I end up on a photo, I always look much bigger than I seem to in my mirror - anyone any ideas why? My mirror seems to be a reverse 'changing rooms' mirror which makes me look slimmer Hmm But I saw a photo of me taken at the weekend and I don't look good - guess it has brought it home how much work I have to do Sad Sad

Purpleraindeer · 30/08/2017 21:00

TBH I think pushing those wonky trolleys with the broken wheels is workout enough. I hate supermarkets!

Did you get abs fix done roman? I had to have a big moan at dd tonight as she kept calling for me to come and chat Hmm whilst I was doing my workout. Have decided to do 21 day fix extreme (without the diet and boxes!). Started with plyo fix tonight.

I know exactly what you mean re mirrors roman. I have the same thing with skinny jeans. They look great in the mirror then I see a photo and I have big tree trunk legs. I wonder whether it's because in a mirror you poSe a bit to get your best angle?

Theromanempire · 31/08/2017 08:27

purple good luck with the 21dfx - how was plyo extreme? I only do 2/3 of those (Cardio Fix extreme, ABC extreme and Dirty 30 extreme) - the others are too hard Grin plus the modifier pisses me off as she barely modifies at all Hmm

Yes I did do Flat Abs Fix, made myself get changed and just do it Smile No time to exercise today though so it's going to have to be a rest day. DS has a football match later on so I might walk round the pitch for an hour to at least do something.

Purpleraindeer · 31/08/2017 22:03

Plyo extreme was good actually. Some exercises were a bit easy and i should do them with more weight next time but some were almost impossible - one legged jumps with a knee bend carrying a weight Shock. You'd be fine to do it as it can easily be made easier or harder by adding or removing weight. Give it a go!

Reastie · 01/09/2017 20:35

Re mirrors, we only have one full length mirror at home and it's in the bathroom which is quite small so the view if I stand in front of it is quite close and I always seem to look larger than in photos so I have a fat adding mirror at home Grin. TBH I've spent most of my adult life at a size 16 and post pg was a size 22 so size 12 for me is pretty good and I'm a lot happier with photos of me than previously (there are hardly any photos of me with dd as a baby as I was too self conscious).

Holiday is not good for the workouts. In a whole week all I've done is a hit workout and a 40 minute run. This is epically bad for me and unheard of even for a holiday. Tonight I'm feeling genuinely anxious and depressed (nothing to pin point just very tearful and down) and I'm wondering if it's just lack of exercise which usually helps me cope with these things (I do have anxiety issues and past history of depression). If this is the case then thank goodness I don't always feel like this and have something thT helps me! I'm very scared to get on the scales once I get home though.

OP posts:
Purpleraindeer · 02/09/2017 14:37

Reastie Flowers hope you're ok. I got the same on hols with no workouts. I felt a bit silly that I was anxious but I was. It is a massive mood booster so you're probably right that it's the lack of endorphins kicking in. Don't be scared of the scales. It's never as bad as you expect post hols.

Did upper fix extreme yesterday and lower fix extreme today. The kids 'hilariously' tied a knot in my exercise band which made some of the exercises rather challenging! Also found my right leg is really wobbly and weak. However does that happen Confused.

Have a good weekend all. We're enjoying the last one before school starts. I've loved the summer hols so am sad to see the end of them

yumyumpoppycat · 02/09/2017 15:18

Roman I am very unphotogenic, hopefully I look better in real life, I think the camera adds 10lbs they say? Maybe we are being too self critical.

Reastie I think you will be fine for post hol weigh in too. I only put on half a pound after 3 days at theme park with kids, despite burgers and all you can eat breakfasts and I think it's because we walked so much. I am having one last day in holiday mode though and some wine with dp tonight - prob be way more damage after that!

Purple I am sad to see hols go too - been quite a nice relaxed summer at our house, and the kids have had some sleepovers with my mum so we can work which has helped me not to get to the tearing my hair out stage!

Purpleraindeer · 03/09/2017 17:32

Omg my thighs and bum were sooooo sore from lower fix extreme yesterday. Limped through cardio fix extreme today but not my best effort. Could barely squat. My eyes were popping out of my head at autumns boobs right in front of the camera doing the football runs. That must be for her male fans Wink

Reastie · 03/09/2017 18:41

Thank you for the thoughts. I'm home now and back to work tomorrow after nearly two months off, it's going to be one long week!! Went for an 11k run this morning and feel much better for it thank goodness.

On waiting list for a body attack next week. Sounds pretty hard core somwill have to see. Really hope I like it as this is the only gym class I can make with my new timetable and would be handy to get a class done early before I start work. Has anyone done body attack?

Purple sounds like the fix is tough but well done on doing it despite aches. I think my dh would enjoy having autumn in the background than tony and Shaun! She is just too perfect though.

Yumy you do tend to walk miles at theme parks don't you. I've never seen good healthy food for sale there either, it always seems to be pizza/hot dogs/fizzy drinks/chocolate.

OP posts:
yumyumpoppycat · 03/09/2017 19:09

Yes I like body attack - it's quite fun - a good workout but not too hard, clubby music, running around, hifives, the odd burpee and pushups usually on knees.

One last holiday day has turned into another but I am drawing a line through it.....As of Now!

Did jillian cardio 1 again

yumyumpoppycat · 03/09/2017 19:22

Btw I have a confession to make - I have ordered a second hand copy of a Davina DVD for £1.50 - it's called intense and is an old one - apparently much harder than the newer ones she does. I was searching cex for some exercise dvds to finish up a voucher ds was using and drawing a blank, oh did order joe wickes too! One of these days I am going to have to work through all my non BB exercise dvds - I have a mini bookcase of celeb type workouts hidden behind our sofa like a guilty secret Blush

Purple Autumn certainly doesn't mind a cleavage - I could not workout in front of people without a decent neckline going on! Actually Chalean is the same. Luckily the core de force workout presenter wears more normal clothes!
