Biked to work and back. Was planning to do 30DS L2, but DD had a friend over and her mother stayed for a glass of wine when she picked her up. So I think that's postponed till a day when I'm feeling less summery and indolent (and hot!).

Had an unplanned rest day yesterday as wasn't feeling very well. Felt better today and thought about doing a DVD but cba had power walked for 30 minutes to get to a work meeting so justified that as gentle exercise.

Lacking motivation this week. Came straight home from work and ate a double decker 🐽 It's horrrible here, it's hot but just heavy and airless. Not nice sunny motivating weather, headache weather.

Lacking in motivation here too RJ. I was working late and dinner took priority when j got home. I did go for a 30 minute strollwalk instead.

Whilst it is lovely to have some warm, sunny weather, it isn't helping my motivation! I psyched myself up and did NMTZ. Definitely in need of a shower now...

Leg day here. 9am and I was still hot bothered grumpy and sweating buckets. Big respect to my long suffering pt.

She did tell me I need to cut the carbs to drop weight for my holiday 😞 I know that though.

Biked to work and back again, so that's my 40 miles done for this week. A van backed into me at some traffic lights, which was a nasty shock at the time, but amazingly no damage done to me or the bike. (He tried to claim it was my fault because he couldn't see me, and then legged it before he gave me his name or address. Hey ho. I got his registration number but not sure it's worth trying to do anything with it.)

After that I'm afraid a large glass of wine was more appealing than the Shred! Kudos to people who are getting on with it regardless.

Another fail here - bad night after the incident on the bike, and then it's too hot to do anything this evening. And the hairdresser has made me look like Dennis the Menace (or possibly Gnasher).

I'm all right, thanks - it was a shock at the time but I'm fine now. I tried calling 101 and hung on for ages, but didn't get through. The bike seems to be all right, and it's due a service anyway so I'll get it checked over.

Unfortunately my brain seems to be regarding it as a great excuse not to Shred, and we're off on holiday today, so that's it for a week (I'll try to do a bit of Ballet Beautiful, but won't realistically get anything else done till I get back).

Have a good holiday, Peter, sounds like it's well timed.

Torrential rain here so I didn't run to boxing at the gym. Class was an hour instead of 45 mins though, so it was a comprise.

(Oh, and I've decided on a hybrid name change to stop confusing myself Blush )

8k tonight. It was slow but comfortable and I'm now feeling a lot less concerned about next week's 10k race!

Well done Kanye. Did 6k at a slow plod (had intended 8). I discovered that slow running isn't an effective mood changer and fast running wasn't going to happen up the hills on the route I'd planned. My first really meh run.

Next weekend is a 12 miler then race pace 10k (probably dirt run) as start of taper for the half I need to enter tomorrow...

Three weeks to holidays. I have mostly eaten berries and stir fried veg and this morning session was a pretty brutal leg day. Been at the cinema with dd2 and about to head to dentist, after that another session of kettlebells.

Planning to double train and shift some fat this week hopefully. New bikini st the ready.

6.5km with running club. Didn't quite run all the way up the first evil hill but better than yesterday.

I seem to do nothing but running but having the pull up bar where I pass it frequently has helped as I can now jump up and hold and might even get an almost imperceptible bit of upwards movement.

Weights and abs tomorrow without fail!
