Fail over the weekend. Killer Abs L1 and Ballet Beautiful standing workout done this evening. I must, must, must get back into getting up early to exercise -it's too hit and miss to do it in the evenings.

Awful 6k...that's what I get for having no will power (dh had to go to a funeral 2.5hrs away yesterday so I bailed far too easily on my planned run Blush ). I did 4k as slow/less slow intervals, some very short sprints for 1k and 1k cool down. Hoping to do weights at the gym tomorrow.

Got to the gym at lunchtime and did a weights circuit. It was supposed to be legs but it's so fecking boring I did some kettle bells and abs instead and remembered his bad I am at being told what to do

Still raining here too - I was planning to bike today, but really glad I didn't. Planned rest day from JM as I had a work thing late this evening.

Early morning run for me. Thought it was rubbish but actually my fastest on that route and I wasn't consciously pushing other than up the hills (where I was barely faster than a kid walking to school)

Maybe the training is taking effect at last!

Fail here, I've had an allergic reaction to something and I'm dosed up with antihistamines and feeling rubbish. Hopefully will feel better tomorrow.

Couldn't post last night cos the mobile site was down. Double trained last night - metafit then a pt doing cardio and a bit of Kettlebell strength. Legs in tatters. Double training again tonight most likely. Holiday getting closer!

I hated running until last year. What changed is that we moved from the arse end of nowhere into a small town about 1 mile from central shops and I had a baby. Small market town so parking is annoying so being lazy about the whole baby, car seat, sling, carseat faffage I started walking most places.

Also I discovered mud runs with Pretty Muddy and on my first attempt at a training run discovered I could actually do 5k slowlt but without stopping thanks to 8 months of walking everywhere carrying my daughter. Did a couple more mud runs last year getting up to 10k.

This year I discovered parkrun and got PB obsessed so have done a couple of non mud 10ks and am aiming at a half marathon. Joined a running club which really helped with getting out on dark evenings and with discovering local routes.

I definitely prefer outdoor exercise but JM and random YouTube videos are great for doing "something" if DH is working so I can't escape.

Still need to do more cross training and weights but I am better at things I am not yet keen on if I can see why I need to do them and ideally improvements need to be tangible for motivation purposes. I'm not fussed enough by "looking better" because it's vague and subjective.

Hope the allergic reaction isn't too inconvenient Lord Peter!

I've had a an easy few days- 3k on weds (to meet my brother for burgers and beers), rest day yesterday and weights/core work at the gym this morning. I've a 10k in just over 2 weeks and frankly, I'm not sure how I'm going to manage it Blush

I'm going to hurt like hell when I cool down but for now I'm buzzing

I've signed up for a women's 3k on 4th June Blush I'm getting pelters from dh who is running thexstirking marathon on Sunday about not doing the 10K but I've as much chance of finishing that as the marathon right now. Got my eye on one in August.
