I really want to be able to do pull ups for upper body stuff on total warrior as it's the closest home based thing... 4 pronged attack...

  1. Lose weight so less upper body strength required...
  2. Upper body weights generally
  3. Hanging from pull up bar
  4. Jump up and lower (well drop) down to use the same muscles. Will try and get some resistance bands to assist - missing gym access where there's an assisted pull up machine!

Might also get me to the point where I can actually climb vertical/overhanging stuff enough to start enjoying it a little!

OublietteBravo · 04/05/2017 19:10

The DC are cooperating tonight, and DD made Mexican food in cookery today so I don't even have to cook. The cumulative effect is that I'm much calmer and less stressed than I was yesterday.

I've just done 30DS L1D5 & 6W6P L1D2.5

The foam roller is out but I can't seem to work out how to get body weight on the calf. Saturday is only two days away though.

Gave up today. Head sore and I've got cramp so laid on couch eating marshmallows while dh does my pt Blush think my body wants a break.

Random that sounds like a great plan. Pull ups are on my list but I weigh a lot (and the marshmallows don't help!)

Back on it tomorrow.

OublietteBravo · 04/05/2017 19:30

RJ I'm currently eating chocolate covered marzipan. I'm also really looking forward to my rest day on Saturday.

Glad you're feeling a bit less stressed today Oubliette

I was doing so well, completed 6 days of One Week Shred, and then felt really rubbish and unwell on Monday and Tuesday so did nothing. I suppose I could have done another day of it yesterday or today but I lost the momentum and getting pretty bored of it, so I'm happy to put that DVD away for a while.

I did 6W6P yesterday (one circuit of L1 and one circuit of L2), and 3 of JM's 10-minute Transformations today (cardio, calisthenics and booty burn).

Off to a wedding tomorrow so probably nothing now until Sunday Smile

RJnomore1 · 04/05/2017 20:50

It's not good when you feel rubbish. Hope you're feeling better delicious.

Oub Sunday will be well deserved when it arrives.🍫

KanyesVest · 04/05/2017 23:40

Argh, only just home from work so I won't manage a run tonight. Dh is away from tomorrow for the weekend so I'll have to be creative about how and when to get some exercise in.

DeliciousIrony · 05/05/2017 09:44

Woo - dress fits and 6lb down since 2.5 weeks ago - thankyou 6 day one week Shred Smile Happy weekend everyone

Woo hoo - well done, Delicious! Enjoy the wedding.

Killer Abs L2 and Ballet Beautiful bridge series done. Yesterday was a rest day: was out for dinner after work and didn't get home till midnight.

An hour Kettlebell coaching. Really good; I enjoyed it a lot but loads to learn as usual.

Ended up with dry needling on my calves so fingers crossed it helps.

Oh I got ahead of myself there!

LordPeterWimsey · 06/05/2017 19:01

DH and DD away overnight: Yoga Meltdown L2, 10MBT Pilates and Ballet Beautiful standing workout done (this is less impressive than it sounds as the Ballet Beautiful one was under 5 minutes). I've also cleared out a cupboard, done some admin and am about to settle down with wine and crisps and watch a couple of films that DH wasn't interested in seeing - I am a happy individual this evening.

randomsabreuse · 06/05/2017 21:37

10k Pretty Muddy then 2 hours riding lessons. Might be stiff tomorrow!

RJnomore1 · 06/05/2017 21:47

Ooh how was pretty muddy?

I'm doing the 5k one next month.

LordPeterWimsey · 07/05/2017 10:05

Killer Body upper body workout and Ballet Beautiful abs done. So I've done five good sessions this week, and I'm hoping to be back on the bike from tomorrow.

RJnomore1 · 07/05/2017 10:34

MMA circuits today. Really enjoyed it. Come home and think I'm having a visual migraine. Probably should get off my phone.

Still to check out the ballet workouts. On my to do list!

randomsabreuse · 07/05/2017 15:11

Pretty muddy was good fun - mud mostly contained in the obstacles, A frame, crawls under nets through mud, space hoppers and the slide at the end was fast.

There are some queues unless you're right at the front of the 1st wave (I was 2nd wave and had 5 people to wait for at the A-frame).

RJnomore1 · 07/05/2017 16:35

Are there any that would be a problem if you had a fear of heights? I did tough murder half last year and the climb ones pretty much had me in tears.

randomsabreuse · 07/05/2017 18:15

A frame is about 2 metres tall, ditto slide - so not horrendous fear of heights territory! Nothing strength based or painful.

Generally pretty tame - loads were walking - I'm not fast (67 mins being fastest 10k time ever) and I was passing loads of people from the wave 15 minutes ahead...

RJnomore1 · 07/05/2017 18:18

Don't mind pain or strength based...😬 It's just heights that get me!

2m I think I can do. Thanks.

LordPeterWimsey · 08/05/2017 19:03

Biked to work and back, so two hours' moderate exercise done!

RJnomore1 · 08/05/2017 20:07

Kettlebell sport class. MY coach is pushing the weights and the times up so it was a good hard workout tonight.

I love the idea of cycling to work but I'm too terrified on the roads.
