Back in this morning for a Kettlebell training session, my coach has given me an online plan. Was quite tough but I did the whole thing.

Home watching the old firm game now!

LordPeterWimsey · 29/04/2017 16:03

Arm now recovered - Killer Abs L2 and a Ballet Beautiful arms workout done.

RJnomore1 · 29/04/2017 17:09

I love the sound of the ballet work outs are they tough? I'm not hugely flexible.

LordPeterWimsey · 29/04/2017 17:32

They're tough - not aerobic, and you don't need a lot of space, but they really hurt! There are a lot on YouTube if you want to have a look: the woman who does them is called Mary Helen Bowers.

RJnomore1 · 29/04/2017 18:35

Thank you I will have a look, I like to keep mixing my training up so I don't get bored.

KanyesVest · 29/04/2017 18:56

I did a couple of ballet workouts and yes, they are hard!

I did 4k today bit stopped half way to join a gym. It has a pretty good weights area (I can't do indoor cardio so didn't look at it at all) and the personal trainers have good online reviews. Hopefully they'll help me get back to some lifting! And the 2k run there and back is a good warm up/cool down.

Delicious, let me know when you've done 2 years on a balance bike Wink

DeliciousIrony · 29/04/2017 19:35

Running to join a gym - that is dedication!

One Week Shred day 5/7 completed. Not sure it's getting any easier, but I feel bloody amazing after that cardio.

RJnomore1 · 30/04/2017 15:37

WEll two friends and I ran the bubble rush in a Glasgow park today for the hospice. I would post a picture but it's very outing! We had to queue and walk through the bubble stations but we ran the whole of the rest of the route. The running is starting to work.

Yoga Meltdown L2, and Ballet Beautiful inner thigh workout done. The ballet one was really tough - only 7 minutes, but 7 minutes of agony.

I'm one of the unlucky minority who don't get an endorphin rush after exercise, so slightly envious of you feeling amazing after your cardio, Delicious.

LordPeterWimsey · 30/04/2017 17:12

Well done, RJ! Cross-posted so I didn't see your message before.

OublietteBravo · 30/04/2017 20:14

Rest day yesterday. NMTZ this evening.

(69h 40min; 89/161).

Well done for sticking with it everyone Star - we're already 4 months in (or 1/3 of the way through the year).

I spent yesterday prepping for extended family lunch and the many dietary requirements so didn't get anything done. I have had 3 glasses of wine so although I feel like going for a run, I'm not sure it would be my best idea ever...

RJnomore1 · 01/05/2017 20:02

My Kettlebell coach has given me a training plan to prepare for a comp in August so went and did my session from that this morning.

91/159

Followed it up with a most disappointing meal at Frankie and bennies

RJnomore1 · 01/05/2017 20:03

Ooh thanks lord peter

KanyesVest · 02/05/2017 18:34

Induction at the gym today on the weights machines. I'm banjaxed after one set of each exercise, so I don't know how I'll manage a full session! That said, apparently I have very good form .

OublietteBravo · 02/05/2017 19:17

30DS L1D4 & 6W6P L2D2. I'm feeling rather sweaty - I presume that means I wasnt phoning it in.

Kettlebell fitness class

Long long sets today, 6/7 minutes. Did well after being a bit off yesterday. My calves are agony though, got a sports masseage booked in for Saturday to release them.

92/158

LordPeterWimsey · 02/05/2017 20:49

Killer Abs L2 and Ballet Beautiful outer thigh workout done. So bored with this exercise lark...

randomsabreuse · 02/05/2017 22:43

11km run yesterday. Tacked 5k on before club run and was a little out in my timings leading to my 2nd fastest mile ever (according to Strava) in the middle of an "easy" run.

Hill repeats session today. Calf and hamstring muscles were my limiting factor more than my cardio fitness which was a surprise...

Finally did some abs work and have been doing "reverse" pull ups (jump up and lower as slowly as possible) which DD finds very amusing...

blodynmawr · 03/05/2017 07:26

Still JMing here this week....

RJnomore1 · 03/05/2017 14:45

Very very crap lunchtime run. My calves feel like they might explode. Had to stop and stretch and walk but made 5k total. Annoyed and frustrated. Got a sports massage booked for Saturday to sort them.

May go do kettlebells tonight as I feel I didn't do what I meant to today.

93/157 anyway.

LordPeterWimsey · 03/05/2017 18:50

Commiserations, RJ - hope the massage helps!

random, well done on the fast time! Not sure I can do any kind of pull-up.

Yoga Meltdown L1 and Ballet Beautiful abs done. Owwww.

KanyesVest · 03/05/2017 18:54

That's really annoying, RJ. Do you have a foam roller? I find mine really hurts bit helps a lot.

I had some very functional training today, three hours laying a patio! I was the skivvy apprentice to my brother, the gaffer, so I got all the fun jobs like tamping down the gravel and sand with a sledge hammer and lugging 20 x 25kg bags of sand round from the front (in a wheelbarrow). Gonna feel it tomorrow!

OublietteBravo · 03/05/2017 20:13

I did BFBM in an attempt to burn off some anger.

I'm livid with DS's PE dept and their inability to figure out what time he'll need picking up on match days. I don't have an hour an a half spare to play 'hunt the small boy' - especially when I haven't been told that he had a late finish and how the fuck does a home match with a 14:00 start time finish at 18:30 anyway.
