Fine by me RJ.

OublietteBravo · 15/02/2017 18:49

Feel free to keep track of your clean eating on here RJ - good luck! It's not something I'm very good at.

I did BFBM again today - it's quite nice to do some cardio for a change.

Please do RJ, you might inspire me to kick my sugar addiction!

DeliciousIrony · 15/02/2017 19:37

Body Rev Cardio 2 today, much prefer it to Cardio 1 - although my disc slightly skips forward during the penultimate move of the last circuit (which came as a bit of a relief!).

randomsabreuse · 16/02/2017 11:48

Anyone know any low impact exercise videos? My calf niggle is achilles tendinitis so running and jumping are banned. Guessing 6 week 6 pack might be ok or no more trouble zones but banish fat boost metabolism and shred less so. Will have to explore fitness blender and work on upper body sat on a swiss ball.

Also discovered that going to physio with toddler in tow is not fun!

RJnomore1 · 16/02/2017 19:04

You lot are fab thank you. I'm going to start on Sunday 26th in earnest because I realised we are away for two nights to a lovely foodie three Aa rosette hotel on 36th march so will do four weeks then two days off then back to it.

Gym session yesterday some short kettlebell lifts and sprints on the cycle

Metafit today bit half hearted but I'm tired I've done 8 days training in a row. I am now :

35/215

OublietteBravo · 16/02/2017 19:25

BFBM (again). I need to be careful - I seem to have stopped varying my workout. I don't want to get stuck in a rut.

random, I don't know if yoga's your thing but I was doing the Yoga with Adriene videos on Youtube in January - low impact but lots of stretching (she's distressingly fond of downward facing dog). Would that work or did you want something more aerobic?

RJ, I hope your clean eating will inspire me to do something about my rubbish habits - my diet is pretty bad. It used to be good, but then I lost the will to cook after weaning fussy DD and I can't get it back again: DD still hideously fussy and reluctant to try new things, and there's no pleasure in cooking unless we have guests.

I'm still away, back on Jillian on Monday!

DeliciousIrony · 16/02/2017 21:31

randoms That's shit...my exercise knowledge is fairly limited as all I seem to do is JM DVDs, but I believe that she has a Beginner Shred which is supposed to be quite a good workout but without the impact, but I've not tried it. Otherwise, I second the yoga suggestion. Swimming perhaps? Hope you recover soon!

Body Rev workout 5 today. I realised today that I seem to have more back fat than I thought, which is disappointing. I hope that if I can complete Body Revolution it might help . I blame DP, I eat pretty well but then he does things like bring home pringles "because it's nearly Friday"...

OublietteBravo · 16/02/2017 22:23

random - L1 of 6W6P is mostly floor work. You can make it entirely floor work if you swap the first five moves for the Abs circuit from NMTZ (I think it's circuit 2). L2 has a fair bit of cardio though (lots of lunges from what I remember).

NMTZ is pretty low impact too - hardly any cardio once you've done the warm up.

randomsabreuse · 16/02/2017 22:57

Thanks

Doesn't need to be entirely floorwork but need to avoid too many jumping jacks. Can always sub in high kicks and punches for some cardio.

Should do more yoga as well given it's my dire flexibility that's got me in this mess!

Also time to stop sulking and get on with the upper body work outs in preparation for OCR craziness.

Will also check out some swiss ball and resistance loop stuff.

I can motivate myself through this!

OublietteBravo · 17/02/2017 19:03

Different DVDs today - Ri30L3 and half of 6W6P L1.

I'm planning a rest day tomorrow.

Can I join in? I've been following this thread and find you all so inspirational. I've lost my motivation recently to exercise (normally do quite a bit) and every time it seems such a struggle - used to look forward to it!

Just did Jillian Michaels hard body L2. Wrecked now!

Is her body revolution similar to insanity? Checked it out on Amazon and it's quite pricey

RJnomore1 · 18/02/2017 11:33

I'm really sorry I can't help much with low impact but I would say get a Pilates band and look on YouTube and stretch stretch stretch. It's massively improved my flexibility and as a result less pain.

No training today or yesterday as I'm resting for tomorrow. Oh the guilt!

Welcome Sophie the more the merrier 😊

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 19/02/2017 10:20

Good luck today RJ! Welcome Sophie.
Just done 5k run (maybe nearer to 5.5k). Didn't manage my target of exercise twice this week (half term) but at least I got out today. Not sure random, sorry, but I agree with yoga and swimming (I think you can get some quite taxing yoga which is low impact).

RJnomore1 · 19/02/2017 10:47

Thank you stressy.

Just getting ready to head. I think "shitting it" explains my state of mind 😬

Going to up the running next week onwards, running 5k in one go is a dream of mine - I have never managed more than about 2.5 without having to stop and walk.

RJnomore1 · 19/02/2017 16:45

Guys! I got silver!

Ver good PB with it too. Delighted.

I am now:

36/214

LordPeterWimsey · 19/02/2017 16:57

Congratulations RJ! That's brilliant. So pleased for you.

KanyesVest · 19/02/2017 17:51

Well done RJ! 💪🏋

I've been a bit hit and miss this week, mainly did some walking. I've been feeling crappy with lots of migraine nausea so not feeling like doing anything let alone exercise. But I am feeling twitchy for needing a run, and based on the physio exercises, and my month of rest, I'm going to try a short jog tonight. I'm really looking forward to it Blush

OublietteBravo · 19/02/2017 19:08

Well done RJ - that's brilliant!

Welcome Sophie - great to have you joining us.

I've just done NMTZ.

Gym session on friday & a 4.5k run today is my weeks total as been away without the opportunity to do much though it was an active few days with a mammoth hike & kayaking with a spot of abseiling thrown in so not a complete cop out...

RJnomore1 · 19/02/2017 20:20

I did wonder when I managed to overtake you oub!

EatSpamAmandaLamb · 19/02/2017 20:43

I have been managing 3 miles of walking everyday along with yoga, 20 mins kettle ball and 15 mins resistance bands without flagging. It feels such a long way from laying flat in bed. I cried in park yesterday when I walked up 150 steps, twice! I have never felt so grateful for my body. I can't believe it is actually allowing me to move. I am so overwhelmed by it but also angry about what I missed out on because of being so sick. I feel so much stronger nowadays. 💪

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 19/02/2017 21:14

Well done RJ Star. Also everyone else seems to be doing brilliantly too Smile.
