I'm struggling here - too much to do and not enough time to do it, and I'm absolutely knackered. Did Body Rev workout 8 last night (not quite as evil as workout 7 but pretty evil, particularly the third circuit which has a warrior 3 pose with weights held straight out in front. Even with my lightest weights I find that one hard). I didn't get up to exercise this morning because I was up late baking for a work thing, but aiming to do Killer Abs L2 tonight.

randomsabreuse · 07/02/2017 08:49

Have a grumbling calf/achilles region since the weekend. Been sulking and limited to walking 18mo which isn't quite the same... will hopefully get back to some form of exercise later today but give running a miss for the rest of the week, even though I reckon the cause was the long dog walk in wellies.

OublietteBravo · 07/02/2017 19:17

Oops - I accidentally counted yesterday's exercise as minus 10 minutes Blush

Not really enjoying exercise at the moment. I have a niggling ache in my lower back. I moved up to L3 of Ri30 today - I'd remembered that it included the evil duck walks, but forgotten about the final strength circuit (pike push-ups, side raises, tricep dips)

Kettlebell class

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 07/02/2017 19:43

30day shred level 2 today. Think I made a mistake buying the 2kg weights and should have gone for 1kg. Did the second lot of v raises without weights.

Niggling injuries are so annoying, hope people feel better soon.

LordPeterWimsey · 07/02/2017 21:39

Sorry to hear people have niggles and aches and pains. I have no such issues but still not motivated!

Killer Abs L2 done. Like ploughing through treacle but I did manage to do nearly all of it unmodified. Planning to do Killer Arms & Back tomorrow to postpone the evil moment of doing Body Rev workout 7 again - but I must do workouts 7 and 8 once more before I go on holiday on Sunday (without Jillian! Hoping I feel better and more with it after a week's break.) I'm also planning to bike to work tomorrow, after a week off the bike because the weather was so foul.

KanyesVest · 07/02/2017 22:06

I had great plans to go swimming at lunchtime as dh is out tonight but I looked at the wrong day on the timetable and missed the session. Was too tight on time to go get my regular gym gear so today's a pass for me Angry

RJnomore1 · 08/02/2017 08:09

I've got a niggle too in my right trap which is worrying me a bit. Dropped training weights so as not to over work it. Today's run didn't happen my 17yo had a melt down last night and my mum was readmitted (she's home Again, her meds needed tweaked) so I'm exhausted. Nil return from me today as a result.

blodynmawr · 08/02/2017 10:00

Sorry to hear of everyone's niggles and colds, hope you're all better soon. FlowersBrew
KBFF yesterday and 30 min brisk walk today. I may give 30DS L2 or NMTZ a go for the rest of this week as getting a bit bored of KBFF....

KanyesVest · 08/02/2017 16:25

Oh no, RJ, no wonder you're exhausted. Hope you're OK.

I got to the gym at lunchtime for 45 min on bike (10), rowing machine (20) and their weird strider/stepper/glider thing (15). It looks like an elliptical trainer, so why can't it just be one?? Confused

In spire of illness and injuries its great to see so many keeping on keeping on.

OublietteBravo · 08/02/2017 19:27

My back is feeling better today. So I've managed NMTZ.

I'm actually quite pleased with my 2017 progress so far. It's such a relief not to be aiming for 300 days this time around.

Biked to work and back, which is something, but arrived home too hungry to do Jillian and can't do Jillian now I've eaten. Fail. Back on it tomorrow.

DeliciousIrony · 09/02/2017 07:32

I'm back, fell off the wagon for the last few days due to a long weekend away (which turned out to be longer than expected due to a fuck-up with the trains). Started again yesterday with cardio (27 mins random youtube HIIT rather than Jillian) which was tough but I did feel good after doing it.

LordPeter I completely sympathise with the too hungry/can't exercise after eating dilemma. Hope you have a lovely week off, I am dreading reaching where you are with Body Rev!

RJ Hope your mum is okay Flowers

KanyesVest · 09/02/2017 17:09

Swimming today, 44 lengths in about 35 mins. Aiming to get up to 50 in the next couple of weeks. Arms were tired after yesterday's turn on the rowing machine.

Sounds like you hiit the ground running (see how good i am at puns??) after your break.

OublietteBravo · 09/02/2017 19:45

Just a short Killer Abs session today. By the time I'd got back from picking up DS how can they be 40 min late back from a home match? How? I had neither the time nor the inclination to do a longer session.

Thabks guys mum seems to be doing fine now fingers crossed and the teen is in a bit of a better place hallelujah.

Double trained today - metafit then a pt looking at my kettlebell fixation as my competition is suddenly next Sunday aaargh ffs how did that happen I'm not ready!!!

Can only count it as one though so:

28/222

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 09/02/2017 20:47

9.3k run at start of the week & a cross training session yesterday -got a PT session in the morning & may attempt to squeeze a run in over the weekend as I'm away with a work thing next week though it's quite an activity based 4 days so not as bad as doing nothing & the week after is school hols so no chance of a decent run & will have to squeeze in a couple of sessions when I can.

LordPeterWimsey · 09/02/2017 20:48

Glad to hear your mum's doing well, RJ. Best of luck for the competition!

Body Rev workout 7 done. Still having to modify on a couple of the moves - I can just about do the crow push-ups, though I should probably get lower, but the ones with one leg off the ground are just too much: I have to rest the foot of the raised leg on my other leg. I reckon I'm going to be stuck on 7 and 8 for a couple more weeks at least. Good to see you back, Delicious!

Aiming to bike to work tomorrow, but it's sleeting this evening so I may have to revise the plan if it still is in the morning!

blodynmawr · 10/02/2017 07:30

Long day at work yesterday so was a rest day. KBFF done today.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 10/02/2017 14:06

30DS level 2. Still finding the strength moves difficult Confused. Will plough on. Glad your mum is a bit better RJ

KanyesVest · 10/02/2017 17:05

Good to hear the better news about your mum RJ. Hope your teen is coping too.

I was a bit delayed at work today so only got to the pool for half an hour and 30ish lengths. Probably a blessing in disguise, between swimming and the rowing I was doing earlier in the week my poor arms don't know what's hit them!

EatSpamAmandaLamb · 10/02/2017 18:17

I haven't been managing to clock up my 3000 steps (I can't really go very far on my own because I am prone to collapse, so I am reliant on DP being around) but I have managed to do yoga every day as well as kettle bell and Resistance band work outs. I am feeling much stronger.
Glad to hear about your mum RJ.

OublietteBravo · 10/02/2017 18:53

Hello everyone - happy weekend! Great that everyone is persevering and not letting any set-backs get them down too much.

I've just done Ri30 L3D2 (not enjoying this level) and half of 6W6P.

Glad you're feeling improvements EatSpam

I did Body Rev workout 3 yesterday, workout 4 today and a bit of hooping...cardio tomorrow and then I am DONE with phase 1, and ready to leave it behind.

RJnomore1 · 10/02/2017 20:00

Had a great session with my pt tonight. Feeling the love!

Eatspam, resistance bands are great. They improve your mobility sooo much just from stretching with them.

29/221!
