I've managed to keep my running and JM routine going with one rest day in 7. Yesterday I did an actual speed training running session (fartlek) and absolutely loved it. 4.5 miles of intervals and I was buzzing all evening.
Today I'm aiming for a 5 mile tempo run and maybe a L2 30DS afterwards. Just to knock me out before work tomorrow.
I'm not seeing any weight loss but certainly noticing inch loss. Clothing fits better and my abs are 'rocking' at JM would say.
Well done all!

Wildernesstips · 29/01/2017 08:24

Blimey, RJ, sorry to hear about your mum.

Not done too well this week other than the physio exercises I have been given. I did do a Pilates session yesterday.

Weather forecast is wet all week, so looks like less walking, more Pilates for me.

OublietteBravo · 29/01/2017 09:57

Hi PussInCoutts - welcome to the thread. Its great to hear that you're enjoying exercise. Keep going, take it one day at a time and don't be discouraged by any setbacks.

I'm having a rest day today.

Welcome Puss, this thread is a great place to track your progress Smile

Well done Snorf, sounds like you're really motivated at the moment, and inch loss is the important thing!

I wanted to go for a walk today but it was sooo cold and rainy outside I just couldn't...I did Body Rev workout 4 though, plus a 10-minute cardio warm-up from youtube and 10 mins of vigorous hooping afterwards. My right shoulder definitely feels a bit strained from yesterday's workout, I hope it gets better before I repeat that one on Tuesday.

blodynmawr · 30/01/2017 07:26

KBFF done today an d Friday.
DD had D & V Fri night into Sat so whilst she's better now it meant my weekend plans for long walks got binned.
However, I have now done two consecutive Monday to Fridays of Jillian, so aiming to keep that up through Feb at least! Smile

RJnomore1 · 30/01/2017 19:07

Ended up not training yesterday, woke up feeling rubbish, briefly felt better in the afternoon then spent half an hour at night hacking up what honestly felt like litres of phlegm. Bloody stupid virus.

Did kettlebells with my competition coach tonight, felt fab, on train home now and smiling to myself.

My mums still waiting for her angiogram but doing ok too.

20/230. I should hit 10% if my target this week 😁

It's great to have the company from you lot too. Really inspiring to see you all going for it.

OublietteBravo · 30/01/2017 19:59

Almost a whole month into 2017 already. Well done to everyone who is still with us.

I did NMTZ this evening. I need a good start to the week as I'll definitely be having a rest day on Thursday (it is DS's birthday).

Can't believe January's almost gone already...Body Rev cardio 1 done today, + 10 mins on the hula hoop. Felt quite energetic for a Monday, hope it continues for the rest of the week as I'm not planning a rest day until Saturday.

LordPeterWimsey · 30/01/2017 20:15

Body Rev workout 5 done. Going to move on to workouts 7 and 8 later this week. I was hoping to cycle to work tomorrow but the forecast is pouring rain, so best not. Especially since as predicted I caught DD's cold and have been snivelling all weekend (while visiting family, so ideal timing, obviously).

Well done Snorfig. Brilliant that you're so motivated and that it's paying off in inch loss.

And welcome Puss - if it's any consolation I can't run anywhere for longer than a minute even though I'm otherwise quite fit!

Tsotofamily · 30/01/2017 20:54

Hi all
Please can I join again, I was here last year but was pregnant with dd3 so was only really managing to get out with the dogs. But I'm back to doing workouts againSmile
Today I took dogs out for and hour, done w1r1 of c25k and a 10 minute Kettlebell video this evening

KanyesVest · 30/01/2017 22:21

Hi Tsoto! How's baby doing??

Good to hear like your mum is comfortable, RJ.

I had a short walk yesterday, 2.5km don't tell my physio! which didn't hurt, but going down two steps into the futility room did Hmm Swimming tonight, 40 lengths which would have been more if not for the two women having a long chat at each end of the lane. Which is why I like exercising alone...

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 31/01/2017 19:47

Hello everyone! I have missed you all Smile. Just caught up with thread (I think). Welcome to new people. RJ, hope your mum is doing ok. Must be v frustrating about your calf Kanye, glad physio seems to have a plan.

So the assignment is in and I'm back in the game. 30DS level 2 today. Thought I'd better go back a bit as it has been almost 3 weeks of no proper exercise. Was a toned down session as I couldn't find my weights Angry so had to use DH's 1k(ish) wrist weight things. Also got repeatedly interrupted by DD2 although she did do bits with me Grin. Had to stop a couple of times so I'm sure I've lost a bit of fitness but it's good to be back.

RJnomore1 · 31/01/2017 19:55

21/229

Kettlebells class, strength and conditioning on Tuesdays.

My mums in having her angiogram and a stent if she needs one right now. I've to phone back about 9 to see how it went. Thanks for all the good wishes everyone it's really helped. Consoling myself with pringles and undoing all the good work Blush

LordPeterWimsey · 31/01/2017 20:16

Hello Stressy, good to see you back!

Kanye, how frustrating - do you think it's getting better overall?

RJ, fingers crossed for your mum. I think there are times you're allowed to console yourself with Pringles and this is definitely one of them.

Body Rev workout 6 done, so moving on to workouts 7 and 8 in the second half of the week - I dimly remember them being really evil last time so I may be stuck on them for a while. The weather forecast looks like non-stop wet so no bike for me this week.

OublietteBravo · 31/01/2017 20:23

I hope everything went well for your mum RJ

I've managed Ri30 L2D5 and half of 6W6P L1 this evening. I'm going to try moving on to L3 of Ri30 - from memory it's OK except for the duck walks...

Phoned early, she's fine, nothing wrong with her heart and no narrowing of her arteries. Which is a huge relief but I'm baffled now !

KanyesVest · 31/01/2017 20:54

Great if confusing news RJ.

I woke with a horrible cold so I'm having a rest day. Dh is away this week so I'm hoping to get a couple of lunchtime swims in in the next few days.

randomsabreuse · 31/01/2017 21:51

Did my first run with my local running club yesterday. Was fun, will be doing more but need to go with the next group up next time. Rest day today apart from finishing beginner L1 of 30 day squats app! About 90 days after I started it... Starting Intermediate 2 tomorrow - hopefully will stick to that one a little better although have slight doubts about the end of the month as we're away so jump squats will probably be awkward...

Have actually entered total warrior 10 miles in the lake district and have decided on 2 half marathons before then so mostly focusing on running plus upper body strength next month...

Current plan for next month is HIIT 2-3 times a week, running 3-4 times including park run, daily core and yoga and a couple of specific upper body work outs so I can have some chance with monkey bar type obstacles. Should be realistic if I can keep the lurgies away! Definitely need to prioritise the yoga and core work.

Have successfully proved that the major key for weightloss is diet. Been vaguely calorie counting - portion control - and finally dipped below 80kg - my initial goal!

RJnomore1 · 01/02/2017 18:56

Weights rowing n kettlebell session with my friend today so good fun plus another PB of 5kg for 5 push presses. It's flying up right now.

22/228 !

Mums home with a bucketload of tablets too so I'm feeling less stressed.

RJnomore1 · 01/02/2017 18:57

50kg not 5 😳

DeliciousIrony · 01/02/2017 19:09

randoms Those are very impressive goals, when is Total Warrior?

RJ Good news I suppose?? Hope they get to the bottom of it anyway.

I caved and had a rest day yesterday, Tuesdays are often a struggle for me as I get home a bit later and am usually frozen and miserable from waiting for two buses. I did Body Rev workout 3 today.

OublietteBravo · 01/02/2017 19:53

RJ - even if they aren't quite sure what is wrong, your mum is on their radar. Hopefully by keeping an eye on her they'll be able to intervene and prevent anything serious happening.

I did NMTZ this evening. I now need to check on homework, feed the DC and bake a birthday cake for DS.

Kanye - she's doing really well thanks. Growing too fast

Rj - I haven't caught up on the thread completely but Flowers for you and your mum

Had a rest day yesterday as had to drive up to Birmingham for young voices concert.
Got a 30 min workout in this evening and went out with dogs for an hour.
Tomorrows plan is w1r2 of c25k, then meant to be meeting a friend for a dog walk which will be a couple of hours

EatSpamAmandaLamb · 01/02/2017 21:38

Been a bit slow as broke my finger but have managed to meet and exceed my 3000 steps each day and do kettle balls and resistance bands every morning. Had my first one on one Pilates at the hospital this morning and completely pooped!

randomsabreuse · 01/02/2017 22:16

Total Warrior is early August. Half Marathons in May and June so plenty of time. From experience of previous (easier) obstacle races I want to be finding the half comfortable to cope with 10 miles!

Sounds great Eat Spam! One on one pilates looks amazing but very hard work!
