Come and join us in our attempt to do 30 min exercise as often as possible.

Set yourself a target (e.g. 5 days a week, 20 days a month, etc.). Any kind of exercise counts: walking, running, swimming, cycling, dancing - or any other activity that expends energy.

5k run this evening. Felt it in my ankle though so I need to be careful. Strangely enjoyed the run though!!! Definite guilt-free rest day tomorrow.

Whyhellodaffodil · 05/10/2016 21:22

Well done oubliette and toostressy! Hope the ankle settles toostressy and you're feeling back to normal soon oubliette. I'm back on it tomorrow night with a run, still feeling a bit dodgy so taking it easy tonight.

JuddNelsoninTheBreakfastClub · 05/10/2016 23:25

Went for 5km run tonight. Well done to everyone on their exercise!

LordPeterWimsey · 06/10/2016 17:29

I had a fail yesterday - couldn't face doing anything. Today I still didn't feel up to being shouted at by Jillian, but did manage to do the core and cardio workouts from Davina Fit in 15, so I'm feeling a bit better about myself. I just seem to be really tired at the moment and can't quite work out why.

Well done everyone who's managing to get on with it!

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 06/10/2016 19:25

Hi all, enjoying a rest day today except for my usual sprint from the car park into work. Seems ridiculous but I am really struggling with it!! Have a horrid newish boss and I really need to be able to run from the car park as with childcare timings things are so tight that I am currently dead on time or a few minutes late most days Confused. Also need to do the same sprint back in the evenings. It can't be more than a third of a mile but within a few seconds even at a fast jog I am exhausted!! Am in flat shoes but have work bags.

Will try some sprints tomorrow.

Well done LordPeter

OublietteBravo · 06/10/2016 20:28

I did 6W6P L1 this evening. I think I'm developing a sore throat so tomorrow might end up being a rest day.

Oh no, Oubliette, hope a rest day will cure you.

My hip was giving me jip yesterday, so I took my rest day. I am just finished work, and can't face a run, so I'm going to go for a walk and get some lunch supplies for school for tomorrow.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 07/10/2016 12:37

Hi all, 30 minute run this morning. Hope you feel better soon Oubliette

JuddNelsoninTheBreakfastClub · 07/10/2016 13:02

Hi well done Toostreesy, I did a 6km run this morning so that's 4 runs since Sunday, most I've done in a long time! Think it's threads like these and other people that keep me motivated so thanks all! Haven't lost any weight though!

OublietteBravo · 07/10/2016 17:18

Today is definitely a rest day. I'm not feeling great and can't face exercise.

Hi all
Glad I found this thread again. I've not long had a baby, well she's 10 weeks now so want to get back into exercising for last 2 weeks I've been making sure I get my 10,000 steps in per day just to start me off slowly again.
Starting Monday I'm going to go back to doing hip hop abs

OublietteBravo · 08/10/2016 09:56

I managed to do Killer Abs L1 this morning. Still not feeling 100% though - I don't think I'll be doing very much today.

Hi all. I had this week off work and meant to be really good, but it hasn't happened - I'm so tired, and I've got a low-level cold. Managed to do a Davina Fit in 15 workout this morning, though, and I'm hoping next week I can get properly back into the routine.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 08/10/2016 18:24

Hi all, oh dear, hope everyone is feeling better soon. 5k run this afternoon. Had forgotten how convenient running is. My ankle is a bit swollen though and feels tired if that makes sense :(. Rest day tomorrow anyway (only aiming for 3 proper exercise 3 times a week or I'm likely to crash and burn).

Tsotofamily · 08/10/2016 21:23

Went for a 1 1/2 walk

JuddNelsoninTheBreakfastClub · 08/10/2016 22:39

Walked about for nearly 2 hours today with a couple of steep hills involved!

Tsotofamily · 09/10/2016 11:53

Just done another 1 1/2 walk think that's all I'm going to manage today as dc3 has a birthday party to go to and then we are going to a bake off after

KanyesVest · 09/10/2016 18:43

I had another fucking migraine over the weekend and a horrible reaction to my new medication so nothing done. In laws have just left and I'm so full of Mil's amazing apple tart that I'll see if I can manage a waddle around the block later.

LordPeterWimsey · 10/10/2016 06:56

Hope you're feeling better now, Oubliette and Kanye. I've got off to a good start this week: just done Killer Arms and Back L1. Aiming to do one of Jillian's yoga workouts tomorrow morning, then back to KA&B on Wednesday.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 10/10/2016 12:12

Yes, hope you're both feeling better. Did 30 day shred level 2 this morning.

JuddNelsoninTheBreakfastClub · 10/10/2016 12:30

I had a terrible sleep last night so giving exercise a miss today as working tonight.

KanyesVest · 10/10/2016 15:15

I decided to do the school run on foot this afterward. I agreed with Ds that he would cycle and I'd try to keep up with him and we'd bring dd's scooter for her to scoot home. My first mistake was taking the word of a 4 year old. I ended up carrying the bike and scooter (weight training??) for a good 1.5km of the 2km. Uphill. I ignored the whinging all the way home and did a lot of running backwards to cajole him along. Still, it's 4 km of moving today!

Tsotofamily · 10/10/2016 19:13

Walked for an hour with dogs. Managed to hit 10000 steps today too

OublietteBravo · 10/10/2016 19:19

Yesterday ended up being another rest day. I'm feeling marginally better today, although I'm still very bunged up.

I figured that if I was well enough to go to work, then I was well enough to exercise. So I've just done 6W6P L1, and I'm still just about alive.

Kanye Grin that sounds horribly familiar although my school runs are not usually quite that bad (hope I don't jinx myself). Have often thought that the school run is more of a workout than jogging while wrestling 3 year old plus scooter!
