Come and join us in our attempt to do 30 min exercise as often as possible.

Set yourself a target (e.g. 5 days a week, 20 days a month, etc.). Any kind of exercise counts: walking, running, swimming, cycling, dancing - or any other activity that expends energy.

Kanye absolutely extra credit for the wine Wine. Well we are away at my in laws for the weekend and I have forgotten my trainers and ankle support. Have walking shoes but cannot risk a proper run without an ankle support Xmas Angry. No chance of exercising in the house without interruptions.

V annoyed but will have to do some press ups or something instead. DH (keen runner) says view it as enforced rest and just get back on it next week. Have a huge amount of studying to do so will have to focus on that instead. Hope you are all getting on better than me!

DeliciousIrony · 16/12/2016 19:12

Stressy I would agree with your DH on this one and take the break, you can always go out for some good brisk walks and see it as an 'active resting' weekend.

Killer Abs L3 today...one or two of the moves were a bit beyond me (looking at you, clapping mountain climbers...I mean wtf). Very shoulder-heavy, I am aching now but it's Friday and it's nearly Christmas and I have Wine and Sensations lime and coriander poppadoms to comfort me..

LordPeterWimsey · 16/12/2016 21:38

I also agree with your DH, Stressy: running on a damaged ankle without the proper support could put you out of action for months.

Delicious, L3 is the pits, isn't it? I'm afraid I opt out of the clapping mountain climbers and do normal ones instead - I fear for my wrists with the clapping ones.

Body Rev workout 2 done here. Now having a well-earned end-of-week gin and tonic.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 16/12/2016 21:42

Thanks both, am relaxing with lager and trying to study instead Wine

OublietteBravo · 17/12/2016 08:56

I agree with everyone else - enjoy your rest and recovery. In fact I'll be joining you. I have to go up north for a christening, and I won't be taking my kit.

I did manage to fit in 6W6P L1 this morning though.

LordPeter I attempted one clapping mountain climber before giving up and resorting to the regular variety. I broke my wrist last year (not Jillian related) and am very wary of damaging it again.

Cardio today, but only managed 4 out of the 7 circuit of Banish Fat Boost Metabolism as I was a bit short on time. Still drenched in sweat though.

KanyesVest · 18/12/2016 21:08

Bad week this week, a lot of walking but not much else. I just did 8km in 56mins though, which was good for me especially since I had a Christmas get together with wine and too much cake earlier

LordPeterWimsey · 18/12/2016 21:48

I've had a reasonably active weekend, though no official exercise - took DD skating yesterday morning, and biked to get a haircut and then again to do a shift for volunteering, as well as struggling round the shops for last-minute Christmas stuff. Aiming to do Body Rev workout 3 in the morning, but then may have to wait till Friday for workout 4 as I'm going to be away for work.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 19/12/2016 12:13

30DS level 3 today.

OublietteBravo · 19/12/2016 19:00

Killer Abs L1 for me.

You're so close to your target, Oubliette!

I just did 7km. I really need to find a weights or circuits class for the new year.

Anyone setting a target for 2017? I'm toying with a running distance, maybe 750km. I'll have to talk myself into it think about it a bit more!

OublietteBravo · 21/12/2016 18:19

I've been having a think about a target for 2017. I'm debating whether to aim for a certain number of hours (200 hours)? Which might actually motivate me to do some longer circuits again. Or perhaps a combination of days/hours (200 hours + 250 days)?

Don't think I can face 300 days again though - it's bloody tough going!

Just done Killer Abs L1.

I think my goal for now is just to start again after Christmas...I'm going to my parents' for a week where I don't really have space to do much exercise (and hate running) and suspect I will lose motivation after a week of indulgence.

300 days is really impressive Oubliette, the end is in sight!

I'm having a 'level 2' week...did Killer Abs L2 yesterday, and Killer Buns and Thighs L2 today. KB&T2 is definitely harder than level 3, I felt like dying by the end.

LordPeterWimsey · 21/12/2016 22:26

Well done, Oubliette! My goal is to get through all of Body Rev again, working out at least four times a week, and then do BodyShred and get to the end of that. I think that's quite challenging as workouts 5-8 are so tough, I'll need to build my fitness quite a bit to get there.

Away for work at the moment. Yoga Meltdown L1 done today.

OublietteBravo · 22/12/2016 18:47

Another day closer to my target - Killer Abs L1 again because changing the DVD over just seemed like too much effort.

Hi all. Oubliette you are so close!

Realistically I think my first goal will also be to restart after Xmas. Not done anything since Monday and now have loads of Xmas stuff to do plus I am trying to study so will see how I go this week.

Next year am aiming just for 3 days a week again. It seems to work well for me and if I aim too high then I won't do anything. Will have to rethink how that will work when both kids off for school summer holidays but will worry about that another time!

DeliciousIrony · 22/12/2016 21:58

6 Week 6 Pack L2 today. Felt like a massive effort, I think partly because I'm tired from work and know that Christmas is so close. Going to do measurements tomorrow though, so I hope it's all paid off...

RJnomore1 · 22/12/2016 21:59

Ooh I lost you lot!

Metafit for me tonight.

OublietteBravo · 23/12/2016 17:48

Hello RJ

I've just done 6W6P L1. Which means I can spend the rest of the evening slobbed in front of the TV with the woodburner lit.

Shred it with weights L2 today, think I half arsed it a bit, but still - 4 weeks, 23 Jillians, and a good inch or so lost from most bits of me. Goal achieved!

RJnomore1 · 23/12/2016 20:28

I've been testing my limits with my pt today - squats are a reasonably respectable 90kg although I think I can do more if I get more confidence with more weight, but my bench press is at much more respectable 65kg.

Thai boxing tomorrow then two days off eating

Oub you are looking good for making your 300 with ease! Well done.

OublietteBravo · 24/12/2016 09:56

6W6P L1 again this morning. Think I'll take a short break for Christmas now.

Dd was sick and the terrible weather made me lazy this week so I finally got out today for a run. Obviously after a lovely morning it started pouring rain as I walked out the door so just went for 30 mins.

Happy Christmas everyone Wine. Hope Santa is good to all and peace abounds.
