Come and join us in our attempt to do 30 min exercise as often as possible.

Set yourself a target (e.g. 5 days a week, 20 days a month, etc.). Any kind of exercise counts: walking, running, swimming, cycling, dancing - or any other activity that expends energy.

Hi everyone, I'm also on Wine Xmas Smile. Did 5k this morning as DH was off work and he wanted to go for run together. Was bloody miserable, we argued within 2mins of starting and mostly ran apart from each other Xmas Hmm.

I said this would happen as I absolutely hate running with him. He is much faster than me and I hate running with other people anyway. But it is done and I have Wine now!

DeliciousIrony · 10/12/2016 14:21

I admire anyone who can face going out for a run in this weather!

Shred it with Weights L1 today, plus 20 mins hula hooping.

OublietteBravo · 10/12/2016 19:11

I definitely didn't exercise outside today. I did 6W6P L1 in the comfort of my own living room.

Weather isn't too bad here at the moment (it's gone from 0 to 14 degrees in the last week Hmm ) but I really didn't want to go for a run. I did anyway and did 6km. It was hard work, I think I had a bottle glass too many when I was out with my mum and sister for our pre Christmas day out yesterday Blush

OublietteBravo · 11/12/2016 10:53

Killer Abs L1 for me this morning.

(285/15) or 95% of the way there.

That's great Oub! Judd, I don't think I've lost any weight but do think my tummy is a bit more toned, although that may be wishful thinking. Hopefully you don't all hate me for this but I tend to hover at the same (slightly underweight) weight whatever I do. It has its bonuses but I am questioned about it at every occupational health appointment or routine check up etc. I also think I'd look better if I was a bit curvier. And there are other things about my appearance that I don't love!

Anyway, 5k run today. With DH and both DC in the house there was no chance of doing an exercise DVD!

OublietteBravo · 11/12/2016 20:39

Me too TooStressy - I've weighed more or less the same for the past 25 years (except during my pregnancies and for a couple of years after having the DC). I can almost guarantee my weight will be within a particular half stone window no matter what I do.

Finally (I hope) getting back on track. Body Rev workout 1 done. This time of year is always such a struggle.

I'm another whose weight doesn't alter much - I was a bit thinner than usual for a couple of years during and after breastfeeding, but apart from that I hover within 5lb of 8 stone all the time (usually slightly over rather than slightly under). I'm pathetically short so sadly not particularly thin.

Well done, Oubliette ! I'm so impressed by your motivation and wish I had it.

OublietteBravo · 12/12/2016 19:23

Just done another session of Killer Abs L1.

LordPeter What do you think of Body Rev? I really want it but it's so pricey, have instead asked for Jillian's Bodyshred programme for Xmas as I found it a bit cheaper online.

Getting close to the finishing line Oubliette Smile

Rest day yesterday as I was a bit hungover Blush. Today was Yoga Inferno Level 2, plus Jillian's Cardio workout from 10-minute Transformations, plus 10 mins on the hula hoop.

KanyesVest · 12/12/2016 22:44

I had a migraine last night so didn't do anything. Not feeling great today but did a hard 6km this evening.

Can't believe how close you are to completing your target, Oubliette! We'll have to have a virtual party for you Wink

LordPeterWimsey · 13/12/2016 07:36

Delicious, Body Rev is good, I think: I found it on Ebay for £40 last year so thought I could justify it, but I agree it's expensive to buy new. It starts easier than the Shred and Ripped and ends harder!

Nothing done yet today - was out late last night so couldn't get up this morning. Tonight I will try to do workout 2.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 13/12/2016 17:21

Did 30DS level 3 today Shock. Had to follow Anita for some of it and stop more than a few times Blush so don't think I got the best cardio work out of it. Glad I did it though and feels good to have pushed myself!

At least I know I have room for improvement there so it will keep me going for a while when not running.

OublietteBravo · 13/12/2016 19:20

Is L3 the one with the evil rockstar jumps in it? I hate them with a passion!

I'm really excited that (barring catastrophe) I should achieve my target. I suppose I'll have to work out what to aim for in 2017 before too long Shock

Just done 6W6P L1.

Wtf is a "rock star jump"??

Hip was jippy today, I think my trainers need to be replaced...and I need to do more core work. So physio/core routine tonight.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 13/12/2016 22:29

Yes it is the rock star jump ones! Kanye, they are a jump where you kick both your heels back.

LordPeterWimsey · 13/12/2016 22:32

Body Rev workout 2 done. Aiming for Killer Abs L2 tomorrow.

Delicious, I meant to say this morning that I've also got BodyShred and my God, is it hard. Workouts 1 and 2 are OK, but 3 and 4 get a lot tougher, and I haven't dared venture beyond them. I'm doing Body Rev again in the hope of building up to being able to tackle BodyShred properly in the spring. (They're very similar formats - 4 circuits of strength training with high intensity cardio intervals, plus cardio workouts which I never bother with as I cycle to work.)

OublietteBravo · 14/12/2016 18:36

Killer Abs L1 for me this evening. I'm having a rest day tomorrow (work Christmas party).

DeliciousIrony · 14/12/2016 19:11

LordPeter Bodyshred sounds rough! I'll definitely have to work my way up to it (providing that Santa provides it for Xmas), I like having a structured goal to work towards though.

Killer Arms and Back L3 today, managed with the 3kgs all the way through apart from the bloody static superman with a press, which makes me want to die a bit.

LordPeterWimsey · 14/12/2016 21:42

Killer Abs L2 done. I've definitely lost fitness over this autumn: it was tougher than I remember it. Back to Body Rev tomorrow. Hope the Christmas party was fun, Oubliette.

Delicious, I can't do that superman with a press with anything heavier than 1 kg. My shoulders are totally feeble. (If you really want to see something that would make you want to die, by the way, Google Bodyshred Opus: it's the bonus disc that comes with the programme, and I don't suppose I shall ever be fit enough to do most of it. I'm pretty sure the whole thing's available online.)

DeliciousIrony · 14/12/2016 22:05

I've just had a quick skim through Opus, you weren't kidding! And I see it involves those superman presses as well...oh well, fitness goals I suppose!

KanyesVest · 14/12/2016 22:44

Just did a 7km walk with a friend. It still counts even though we stopped for wine mid way, right??

DeliciousIrony · 15/12/2016 19:42

Absolutely, Kanye Wink Wine

Killer Buns and Thighs L3 today, 10 mins hula hoop.

LordPeterWimsey · 16/12/2016 07:06

Body Rev workout 1 done last night. I just need to get workout 2 done today and then I'm actually on target for this week - first time in a while.

OublietteBravo · 16/12/2016 18:22

I believe that comes under 'fitting exercise into your everyday life' Kanye. In fact you probably get extra credit for resourcefulness.

I survived the Christnas party, and I've recovered sufficiently to exercise. Just done Killer Abs L1.
