Juneathon 2016 - anyone want to join us?

Basic premis: try to do 30 min exercise every day in June.

Any kind of exercise: walking, running, swimming, climbing, dancing, circuits - the choice is yours!

From experience, every day can be a bit much. So feel free to join in even if you don't think you can manage this. Last year I aimed for 5 days per week, which worked well for me.

If you want to start before June, there is a thread here

Good for you Kanye.

I am so pleased with myself- I did 3 hours of walking (8 miles) today. Feel like I need to polish my halo tonight!

OublietteBravo · 30/08/2016 20:40

Hello from the Netherlands

I finally managed to fit in an exercise session. Just done 6W6P L1.

(200/100)

Hurray! I'm now 2/3 of the way to my goal of 300 days of exercise in 2016 Smile

From that first line, I expected you to be announcing the dutch Eurovision scores, Oubliette Grin. Congratulations, you are hard core getting to 200 sessions

I did 5km this evening, 3 of it with my brother. He's gone and buggered his calf though so I might be running alone for the rest of the week.

OublietteBravo · 01/09/2016 18:26

Ha ha ha Kanye Grin - who shall I give douze points to?

Rest day yesterday. Killer Abs L1 today.

Might have to change the voting rules so you can have all 12 points yourself Wink

Short run this evening, 25 mins, but faster than most of my recent efforts. I also stopped at the dojo and will be going to a trial class next Monday. Tbh, it looks terrifying!

KanyesVest · 05/09/2016 21:25

I did a lot of walking over the last few days, but no specific exercise. I did start my kung fu tonight though. I'm more panda than Bruce Lee, but I was better than I feared and I'll be going back on Thursday Smile.

OublietteBravo · 06/09/2016 07:13

I've not done much over the past few days. I'm now back in the UK, so need to get back into a proper exercise routine again. Hopefully starting later today.

It's ridiculously hot (25 degrees) here and humid, so I just did a short run today for about 15 mins to collect DD from school. Walked home which took an hour Grin

blodynmawr · 07/09/2016 07:32

Hello again!
Have started back with KBFF this week after 3 weeks of leave and starting back at work. We were camping in the UK on holiday and doing a fair bit of walking each day, but were in some pretty remote places so I couldn't get a signal to post!
Well done for keeping the routines going Oubliette and Kanyes.
There are 4 weeks left in September and I am aiming for 5 workouts per week.

OublietteBravo · 07/09/2016 18:52

Hello blodynmwar - nice to have you back

I managed to do Killer Abs L1 this evening. I'm feeling a bit out of shape after my holiday although amazingly I'm exactly the same weight as I was when I went away

KBFF done.
Having various windows and doors open did not help make it any less sweaty! Apparently this warm weather is set to last until early October!

OublietteBravo · 08/09/2016 20:44

It is certainly hot and humid here tonight. Feeling rather sweaty having just done 6W6P L1.

Hi blody.

I had a migraine and associates hangover for the last couple of days so just did some walking rather than pushing too hard. Kung fu tonight. It was hard but good.

Hope you had a great holiday, oubliette.

OublietteBravo · 09/09/2016 11:52

I managed to find my motivation earlier than usual today - I've just done Killer Abs L1.

(204/96)

I really enjoyed my holiday Kanyes - I'm a bit sad that I have to go back to work on Monday.

OP posts:
OublietteBravo · 10/09/2016 11:25

I had the morning to myself (DD is climbing, DS is at school). So I had coffee, and then did 6W6P L1 Grin

Your commitment astounds me, oubliette; I ditched the children for the morning and lay in bed reading! Grin But I did go for a god awful 5k this afternoon. I would have preferred to go later when its a bit cooler but dh is just after heading away for the night so after my lazy morning it was my only time.

OublietteBravo · 11/09/2016 10:32

Hmm - I'm not feeling terribly committed at the moment Kanye.
I'm doing enough to maintain my current level of fitness, but not really pushing to improve. Still - I figure maintenance is better than nothing.

This morning I've done Killer Abs L1.

(206/94)

OP posts:
KanyesVest · 11/09/2016 19:22

I wish I was even maintaining! Blush

I did an 11km walk today. I'll be in Germany tomorrow and Tues, unfortunately not at Oktoberfest, so probably won't get to do anything energetic until Weds.

OublietteBravo · 12/09/2016 20:52

I went back to work after 3 weeks off today. It was a bit of a shock to her system! It also means I can't exercise during the day - so I had to wait until I'd dealt with both DC's swimming lessons. Just done 6W6P L1 (modified to incorporate the evil abs circuit from NMTZ).

(207/93)

OP posts:
KanyesVest · 12/09/2016 22:13

Oh, I don't envy you going back after 3 weeks!

In spite of my expectations, I managed to walk 8km today (meeting to hotel to dinner to hotel) so I'm counting it as a win!

OublietteBravo · 14/09/2016 06:53

Oops - forgot to record yesterday's exercise. I did a very sweaty Killer Abs L1.

(208/92)

OP posts:
OublietteBravo · 14/09/2016 20:34

6W6P L1 - I'm really getting quite predictable, aren't I? Grin

Sticking with what works is good!

I've no official exercise this week, but lots of walking each day. Something proper tomorrow, definitely!

OublietteBravo · 16/09/2016 19:56

Rest day yesterday (PTA AGM - only bearable if you drink the wine on offer). Just done Killer Abs L1.

A quick 6W6P L1 this morning (incorporating the evil abs circuit from NMTZ)
