Happy 2016 everyone!

If your new year's resolutions include more exercise, come and join our little band of (almost) daily exercisers. The idea is loosely based on Juneathon, and you do some form of exercise most days each week (we take rest days too). The exercise can be whatever you like, swimming, running, DVD/ gym classes, yoga, stretching, etc, but we post here to keep motivated and encourage each other.

Our previous threads are Octoberathon and Juneathon

I'm planning to get out for a short run later today, fingers crossed it stops raining at some point!

It rained all day here yesterday and I just couldn't bring myself to do anything. I did 5km this morning and it was awful. I'd say I walked at least 800m of it. I felt like I had absolutely no energy for it. That said, I did feel much better afterwards, so that's something.

It has been really hot here today. I think we have one final day of nice weather forecast for tomorrow, after which normal service will be resumed (the forecast for Tuesday is cool and wet).

I'm feeling particularly sweaty this evening having just done NMTZ.

Still warm here this evening, although it has clouded over and we have rain forecast.

Couldn't face a long session, so just did 6W6P L1.

Our heatwave never arrived and I think we are back to winter tomorrow Hmm I'm just in the door from work so since it's dry I'm heading out for a walk for half an hour, so I should but my 10k steps for the day.

Very wet today, but still remarkably humid. I did killer abs level 1 for a change - I definitely need a shower!

OublietteBravo · 11/05/2016 20:40

Still really humid - I'm extremely sweaty having just completed NMTZ.

I've abandoned hope this week...dh is away, the kids are sick and the gym has had to close for some undisclosed emergency. I've accepted that the gods are against me so I'll hope to get back on track next week.

OublietteBravo · 12/05/2016 22:08

I made myself exercise this evening. I did a short session (6W6P) - I definitely need a rest day soon.

OublietteBravo · 15/05/2016 08:52

Rest day on Friday. I didn't get round to posting yesterday. However, I did get round to exercising: Killer Abs L1.

OublietteBravo · 15/05/2016 20:24

Finally got round to some of exercise - a bit later than usual given its Sunday. Just done NMTZ.

Kanye - how would you feel about a new Juneathon thread? I was thinking of starting one just before the bank holiday weekend.

KanyesVest · 15/05/2016 22:48

Good idea Oubliette, I need something to kick my ass back into gear. Dh is finally home, just in time for the children to be on the mend too fecker so planning to get some sort of exercise tomorrow.

5k this evening and this afternoon I had 2 hours of lugging 25kg bags of sand around the house to brush them between paving stones, although DS (almost 4) is taking at least half the credit for the sand sweeping Grin. One of the guys at the gardening centre was very impressed that I had bundled the bags of sand into the trolley - guess my weight training is paying off!

OublietteBravo · 16/05/2016 21:23

Well done Kanye - it does sound like the weight training is paying dividends. I did 6W6P L1 this evening - I was hoping to do a longer session, but DS needed help with maths.

Well hello! You lot are fantastic for keeping this update for a year. Hats off to you all.

Can I join you in time for Juneathon? I've got 9.5 weeks to prepare my knees and various other chubby parts for exposure to the unsuspecting public.

Juneathon was fun and so effective last year I'm raring to go early Smile

AnnPerkins · 17/05/2016 09:38

*up. Not update Hmm

KanyesVest · 17/05/2016 16:52

Hi Ann, welcome back! I'm up for Juneathon this year, I'm psyching myself into it already.

I've already done my 10k steps and since dh will be out tonight I'll have to do my pilates core routine after the DC are in bed.

AnnPerkins · 17/05/2016 17:59

You're doing so well Kanye. You must be superfit after a year of this.

I've just completed my first two mile run for about a month. I'm waiting for DH and DS in a village hall carpark...next to the fish n chip van!

OublietteBravo · 18/05/2016 19:25

Hello Ann - good to hear from you again. It's great that you're going to join us for Juneathon 2016 Smile

I had an unplanned rest day yesterday (loooong PTA meeting). Back at it today - just done NMTZ.

(113/187)

KanyesVest · 18/05/2016 22:28

Oh Ann, how did you survive the temptation?? I have even less will power than usual in the face of chips.

I was at a presentation this evening, so walked there and back, 3.5 km each way.

OP posts:
OublietteBravo · 19/05/2016 19:28

I did a quick session of Killer Abs (level 1). Now I need to switch my laptop back on and do some work Sad

so much for taking half a day of holiday

KanyesVest · 20/05/2016 17:38

Finally coming to the end of a very busy week here, so 10k steps yesterday while prepping for my brother's 40th tomorrow and making his cake. Today is a rest day (currently drinking wine after a massage and getting my nails done - proper rest day!). Should get back for a run before the party tomorrow Halo

OP posts:
OublietteBravo · 20/05/2016 19:10

It's the weekend, but I still have work to do. I paused to do some exercise though - 6W6P L1. I'm going to eat, have wine and crack on with the work (I can always edit out any nonsense tomorrow).

(115/185)

OublietteBravo · 21/05/2016 10:22

I decided to exercise first thing today, so I've already done Killer A s Level 1 and I'm feeling virtuous Halo

(116/184)

KanyesVest · 21/05/2016 16:11

Good work, Oubliette, I hope you don't have too much work to catch up on today

So much for a run today... I was drying my hair this morning and something popped in my back and I can hardly move. I have to go out for my brother's birthday tonight so I'll be reduced to flats instead of my beautiful heels too Sad
