Hi all, I've just realised I maxed out our thread by posting the 1000th post earlier so I thought I should start a new one!

Hoping you all find me here...

Thanks all for birthday wishes. Too hungover to do a workout today. Was a brilliant night! I didn't take a photo in the dress! Silly of me really. But I plan to wear it again for a work do soon so it will get another outing.

I'm in for the squat challenge! Need to work off these birthday excesses...

Am off to the UK tomorrow as I have my next chemo session on Tuesday at 10am. Am going to try and either do my work out before I leave for the airport, or I might do a Barry's Bootcamp session with my gay BFF in the evening post a client meeting (which I am squeezing in as then I can expense my chemo flights!) - either way, I WILL work out tomorrow, as obviously I won't work out on Tuesday itself.

spookyskeleton · 17/05/2015 20:27

Evening all

Am going to give the squat challenge a miss as I struggle to fit in my t25 workout, let alone doing 100+ squats!

I have decided that, with the 2 or 3 false starts with beta that I have probably done all the workouts more than the program me so I have bid for a used set of piyo on eBay. If I win that, I have put together a 13 week schedule using the workout scheduler thing using alpha, beta, gamma and piyo which would take me to my holidays and hopefully achieve my aim of dropping a size.

Had a bad day today as it included a trip to KFC Blush

spookyskeleton · 18/05/2015 08:01

Ok, have found the piyo workouts on the Russian FB site so this morning I am doing my first gamma workout (ript) and my first piyo workout (core). Can't wait to try them both Smile

spookyskeleton · 18/05/2015 11:50

Feel like I am having a conversation with myself at the moment Grin

Anyway, did ript it up followed by piyo core...loved them both Smile Ript it up is exactly my kind of workout as I love using weights. However I struggled a bit in piyo core as my shoulders and arms were tired from the t25 and there is quite a lot of plank stuff using the shoulders!

Have a feeling that tomorrow will be the first day that I get DOMS doing T25!

Hope you are all having a good day/workouts Smile

Jacksterbear · 18/05/2015 12:52

Aw spooky I'm here! Glad you've joined the PiYo gang Grin and interesting hear about Gamma.

Boobz glad u had a good bday and will be thinking of you today and tmrw.

Have done PiYo sweat today. Back to thinking PiYo is not too bad (I think it's no coincidence that the ones I think are ok are on the first disc and are obviously intended to be the easier/beginner workouts! Grin)

Still need to do my 50 squats Fullsteam!

Purpleraindeer · 18/05/2015 15:12

I did have a look at the squat challenge. 250 squats! Shock. No way!

Hi spooky. I've been lurking but in a foul mood so didn't post. We've had a house full of illness so mostly mopped up sick all weekend and then DH said he felt too ill (manflu) to watch the kids so I could go for a run on Sunday. Was a bit annoyed about that!
Anyway back on it today with max sweat. Have had 2 terrible nights with the kids so was feeling drained today and it showed! Also was still stiff in shoulders and arms from insanity workout on sat which surprised me.

Sounds like you're absolutely right to go for a new challenge spooky. I find doing something new very motivating. And enough of the chat about feeling too big. It is better to be fit than thin and after all those weeks of t25 you must be really fit!

Purpleraindeer · 18/05/2015 15:14

Ps - I'm so easily led - I immediately looked up piyo. Do you find the lady who teaches it annoying? She seemed rather over enthusiastic on the infomercial

yumyumpoppycat · 18/05/2015 17:26

Piyo's chalene is a bit peppy Grin says thank you for the stretches a lot Confused not too bad though. Spooky did you give your phone number to the russian site - that is what put me off...but I am a scaredy cat and dont really do the whole download thing. Great that you enjoyed the workouts [great] I think sometimes a change in workout helps to stop things getting dull

Purple - I have ordered insanity max 30 from ebay for just over half price it costs new ... fingers crossed it all works etc. Eeek though! Well, no judgment but dp has ordered it for me as his birthday present because funnily enough he firmly approves of and wants to support me in my 'in a bikini at 37' quest Grin

Have you started the squats fullsteam... v interested to hear how it goes!

Boobz hope your flights workout and chemo all go smoothly xx

spookyskeleton · 18/05/2015 17:44

purple hope the illness leaves your house very soon. I have very little tolerance of poorly children/husbands Blush

The piyo woman is totally different from Shaun T but she is OK - very enthusiastic but explains things well. She does seem to witter a lot though about inane stuff (well in my very limited experience of 1 video Grin)

yumyum I have no idea if I gave them my number as I signed up ages ago when it was first mentioned on here. It is a bit of a pain setting the laptop to the TV but it is much cheaper Wink

boobz hope everything goes OK this week.

Fullsteamahead · 18/05/2015 18:19

Hi guys,

I'm here too :)

Spooky, so glad that somebody managed to use VK, as they say every little helps :) BTW, if you have an IPAD you can download the app for VK, add all workouts you do to your videos and just play, takes seconds and I find iPad screen sufficiently big enough to see everything clearly.

Boobz, thinking of you, good luck for tomorrow morning. Did you do Barry's Bootcamp in the end?

I did P90x Shoulders and Back, Insanity Cardio Abs and 50 squats this morning.

Squats were fine but I can see that 120-150 will be a challenge! Jackster, have you done yours yet?

yumyumpoppycat · 18/05/2015 19:13

Purple I missed that you have had a house of illness....you have my sympathies, my dh is prone to man flu grrr.

Fullsteam I had some jagermeister for my cough and cold and then did 30 squats Grin

Sarahlouboo · 18/05/2015 19:43

Hi everyone. OMG just did Gamma Speed 3.0 and that was a struggle - mainly psychologically Hmm. Think I have caught your foul mood Purple! How are the poorly ones? Better I hope.

Fullsteam- did my 50 squats for today but not sure if I can manage 250! I presume you can sprinkle them throughout the day?!

Boobz - good luck and hope all goes well.

Sarahlouboo · 18/05/2015 19:44

Jackster - loving your approach to cold management! Grin

Purpleraindeer · 19/05/2015 12:11

All the vomiting has stopped and the manflu has cleared up so all is right in the world again! Phew.
Did max strength again this am. My shoulders are killing now!
Have done my bit for beach body by being so enthusiastic about t25 that a friend of mine has just borrowed the DVDs from me. I warned her not to be put off when she does tbc for the first time!
I looked on that vk app again and found all sorts of videos so will try that. Might give piyo a try but perhaps with the lady on mute!!
Good effort on the squats. I did 20 as part of my work out this am and that was definitely enough!
Hope the chemo goes ok boobz.

spookyskeleton · 19/05/2015 12:53

purple glad the sickness has cleared Smile

Have to say my heart did sink when I realized that my hybrid schedule was going to bring TBC back into my life Confused

Got strength intervals tonight - had a quick look on VK and considering it sells itself as low-impact, I definitely saw plyo lunges in there Hmm

Boobz · 19/05/2015 12:57

Managed to do my workout yesterday as planned before I left but work meeting in London went on too long to fit in Barry's Bootcamp last night so met friends for slap up dinner and ate far too much instead - oops.

In fact they weighed me at chemo today and it says I've put the kilo back on that I lost last week! Grr. Am just hoping they are dodge scales and my weigh in on Thursday has me at least maintaining at 54.6kg.

Currently having chemo right now - ice cap on (which is totally the worst bit) - all fine though - thanks for checking in on me!

yumyumpoppycat · 19/05/2015 13:54

Boobz Flowers hope the ice cap pays off. Sometimes a good night out is better for us than a workout Grin Fingers crossed this round of chemo is similar in effect to the last one you did. Wow a month goes fast x

Oooh interesting about VK ... maybe I googled the wrong thing before. Enjoy Piyo Spooky and Purple Grin

Ok so dp is taking my bikini quest a bit too seriously and has got me p90x secondhand for £25 from cex but also ordered me Brazil buttlift from amazon £38 www.amazon.co.uk/Brazil-Butt-Lift-Supermodels-Programme/dp/B00337MOMO. I was really not keen as put off by all the images of women waggling their booties, but from reviews I have been reading online it might be ok, it is a tough workout (the reviewer has completed insanity and P90x) and there are weights etc and one of the routines is nice and short and a good one to do before moving onto p90x soooo I think this might be my next workout (pos in a hybrid) for a few weeks before moving onto the tougher second hand sets I have got. I can get the names of the best workouts from BBL if anyone wants to look them up on vk (hint hint Grin always more fun doing the workouts everyone else is doing).

yumyumpoppycat · 19/05/2015 13:57

Ps Spooky strength intervals is not low impact - but one of the better piyo ones, I think you will like it Grin

Jacksterbear · 19/05/2015 18:25

Just popping in v quickly to say I've done my day 1 and 2 squats and have today done speed 2.0 (am rearranging this week's workouts as they didn't seem v balanced beyween PiYo/T25). Have read all your posts and will have moe time to reply properly to people tmrw! xx

OP posts:
spookyskeleton · 19/05/2015 20:27

yumyum I saw a trailer for the Brazilian butt workouts and it did look great - am very tempted but want to stick with my t25 and piyo hybrid for now. I am keen to see what you think.

boobz hope the chemo is OK, I agree that sometimes a night it is better than a workout Wink

OK so strength intervals...not sure about it. It was OK and I can tell it is doing something to my thighs but that last sequence - I couldn't keep up!

Sarahlouboo · 19/05/2015 21:14

Brazilian butt lifts - sounds interesting Yumyum, let us know how you get on! Could be just the thing for summer.

Hi everyone else. Well done everyone on the squats. I did 20 but my knees were crunchy after 4 mile run so I felt a bit sick (not painful just the noise is yucky) and stopped! Had a good NSV today though! Ran up a hill that I have always had to stop on before and did it without stopping and didn't even find it particularly difficult! So I am slowly putting weight back on but I am fitter than I ever was Grin. Looong walk tomorrow. Not feeling the love for Shaun at the moment, would rather be outside when the weather is nice but I continuing with gamma in between. Thinking of doing a alpha/beta/gamma hybrid next or possibly an insanity/t25 hybrid.

Ice cap sounds horrible Boobz!

Fullsteamahead · 19/05/2015 23:01

Hooray, we are off! So glad you guys are managing to find your way round VK! Brazilian butt lift is definitely there, I've seen the workouts before ;)

Boobz, glad you had a good time last night, hope the chemo wasn't too hideous today. Let us know how you are feeling please!

I did Pure cardio this morning, sweated like a pig but it was good fun. I have to say I much prefer my Shaun days to Tony days at the moment!

Remembered about squats only about 15 mins ago so went ahead and did them, great job to everyone else sticking to the challenge :)

Sarah, great job on running up that hill, think I'm going to do a run in the morning too.

Purple, there is nothing worse than a sick bug in the house. I can imagine that combined with man flu must have been hell!!! Glad it's over now!

Now, have any of you tried the new Arla Skyr Icelandic yoghurts. They are new to uk market, I bought some in Morrisons the other day and they are simply fab. Fairly low in sugar, very tasty and lots of protein in them!!! Maybe they should hire me to run an advertising campaign???!!! :)

Purpleraindeer · 20/05/2015 10:13

Great stuff on the run Sarah! It feels to me that you feel that you're not making progress then suddenly you make a big leap forward which is so satisfying. It made me wonder whether I should have a workout which is my 'fit test' which I do every few weeks to see progress as it's not (for me anyway) all about the scales. Having said that, Friday fight 2 felt a tiny bit more manageable today. Although one armed burpees are the work of the devil still!

Will look out for the yoghurt fullsteam. I'm a yoghurt addict.
Hope you're feeling ok today boobz

Purpleraindeer · 20/05/2015 10:15

Oh yes, I had a NSV too. I tried on a cocktail dress I last wore when I was 24 (this is now some considerable time ago.......). It fits again!! Sadly i have nowhere to wear it to

Fullsteamahead · 20/05/2015 10:59

Great stuff re dress Purple!!!

Well, I'm done for today and I'm pooped!!! Morning run which took me 21 minutes ( my time is improving Boobz!) followed by P90X Shoulders and Arms followed by P90x Ab Ripper and finished off with 60 squats! Phew!!! Off for a shower and then get on with my day.

Enjoy your Wednesday everyone! Boobz, hope you are feeling ok today, sending some positive vibes your way!
