Hi all, I've just realised I maxed out our thread by posting the 1000th post earlier so I thought I should start a new one!

Hoping you all find me here...

I meant late December, not September!

Jacksterbear · 22/11/2015 17:58

Boobz, awesome news. So pleased for you. FlowersFlowers

Poppy, thanks, and for you! Grin

JM's six week six pack L2 done today.

Boobz that is absolutely fantastic news. I can't imagine how you and your DH must be feeling! SmileFlowers

I'm glad you're feeling well and are enjoying the Pamela Anderson boobs. I guess this is the only upside? I also quite like the idea that you can't lose too much fat as you need it for your new boobs This will be very useful over the Xmas period. Whilst you recuperate I recommend thinner leaner stronger as relaxing reading. I found it very interesting. I'm not going to take up weight training but all the diet and exercise physiology stuff was good and has given me food for thought.

I'm nearly at the end of week 3 of p90x3 and the work outs all change in week 4. Feels weird as I don't think I've really mastered the first lot yet.

And even better than that - I have a day off today and am going to a spa (treat from a friend). Am thinking about trying a yoga class whilst I'm there as I've enjoyed p90x yoga so much. Also facial and a sleep as have been up all night for the last few nights with ds who is poorly. Zzzzzz

Have a good day all!

Jacksterbear · 23/11/2015 11:26

Ooh, enjoy spa treat, Purple. EnvySmile

yumyumpoppycat · 23/11/2015 13:05

Thanks Jackster Grin did kettlebell abs in my pjs this am!

Purple have a fantastic and relaxing time. Defo agree re thinner, Leaner. Unfortunately we don't have room for the weight equipment in our mid terrace but still interesting!I had a weird dream I was really good at pushups though so defo getting to me!

Boobz such great news I am really happy for you guys!

Purpleraindeer · 24/11/2015 07:57

Dreaming of push ups poppy! That's dedication!Grin

Spa was lovely. Did a yoga class as planned and as expected got corrected a lot - obv haven't been doing it right at all. Am also rather sore today so it must have been more strenuous than I thought. They had another class which I didn't have time for where you were suspended from ropes and did a core work out. I looked in and everyone was huffing and puffing away like mad so looked quite hard. I wished I had gone to it just to see. Jackster - if they do that in your gym I'd give it a go. I bet you'd be great at it with the benefit of all the Shaun t core work.

Did 'p90x3 challenge' when I got home. Those pull ups don't get easier! Am worried I won't meet the 'one pull up by xmas' challenge I set myself.....

yumyumpoppycat · 24/11/2015 13:35

Purple that is what happened to me when I tried going to pilates. Glad spa day was lovely.

Did P90x3 mmx today which is kick boxing and martial arts,I love it but get thoroughly worn out by the sprawling by the end. What is the difference between a sprawl and a burpee Confused my back kicks are embarrassing-there is no way I could do that in a class!

Jacksterbear · 24/11/2015 20:38

Yoga class sounds good Purple. That rope thing sounds intriguing too. My gym is of the cheap and cheerful type tho' and I don't think they have anything that sophisticated!

Poppy I have never come across a sprawl. Describe! Fun fact tho - my autocorrect tries to change burpee to burger. Grin

Hip Hop Abs "total body burn" done today.

OP posts:
yumyumpoppycat · 24/11/2015 22:54

Been googling Jackster and I think basically a burpee is more formal - squat, hands down, kick legs out, push up, jump to squat then jump high, where as a sprawl is more quick and sloppy 'down up' Confused Good work on hip hop abs.

There's a new emoticon Chocolate !

Only, I think you would love mmx. Hope everyone is well x

Jacksterbear · 25/11/2015 10:24

Interestingly and confusingly inconsistent definitions... I googled sprawls too, and the YouTube clips I got were basically what I had been calling (based on JM, and I am sure at least some Shaun T stuff) a burpee - ie with no push-up; just squat, jump back to plank, jump forward to squat, jump up. So... does a proper burpee always have a push-up in it? Confused

OP posts:
yumyumpoppycat · 25/11/2015 13:37

Jackster Confused that's what I thought of as a bupee too, I kind of think my sprawls are too burpeeish and my burpees to sprawlish ;) I think Shaun T does burpees differently in different workout to make it even more confusing!

CVX done today

Purpleraindeer · 25/11/2015 20:31

What?! A proper burpee has a push up?? I've never done that. I thought a sprawl was a burpee but with wide legs and wide hands. Confusing.

Well done on cvx poppy. I like that one. It's hard tho. What week of p90x3 are you? Are you still following the programme?

I've just started my transition week so did isometrix tonight. Was lots of balances. When I was doing it each move felt hard but I didn't think I was getting a work out. Now I sit down I'm feeling rather tired so it obv worked. I'm aware I sound like hard core boobz when I say this, but I think it might be better as part of a double with some cardio too. Grin

Week 4 seems to involve too much Pilates/stretching and not enough sweat for me so I'm going to do some substitutions so warrior for me tomorrow. I will get the chance to practice my sprawls. Smile

Jacksterbear · 26/11/2015 17:31

I was thinking of our burpee/sprawl conversation while doing them (sans push up, with wide legs in the squat) today at the gym. Inadvertently (due to last-minute schedule change by gym) did a Body Attack class. It was good. Quite hard! Not dissimilar to Insanity. Did a Combat class yesterday (more fun, less nauseating Grin).

poppy and Purple, great work both of you.

Everyone else ok?

yumyumpoppycat · 26/11/2015 21:10

Ok my shopping is getting embarrassing now, but purple the chin up assist for p90x3 is on amazon lightning deals, they often repeat so if you miss it it may come up again. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/deals?ie=UTF8&ref_=nav_cs_gb&gb_hero_f_102=p:15,c:all,s:available

Purpleraindeer · 27/11/2015 06:53

Poppy - every time you post a shopping recommendation I go straight onto Amazon and buy it! Do you work in the Amazon marking dept?! One chin up assist band being delivered in 2 days time....

Was getting sore knees and was a bit worried that p90x3 with all the weighted squats was the problem. A day off along with yoga and isometrix seems to have helped and was fine yesterday. Phew. Doing accelerator tonight whatever that is. Sounds scary.

Jackster - you're brave doing body attack. Even the name is intimidating!

Hope everyone else is ok Grin

Jacksterbear · 27/11/2015 20:50

Good Black Friday shopping! I bought Turbofire on Amazon today for £20 - totally chuffed as it's usually over £100!

OP posts:
yumyumpoppycat · 28/11/2015 09:49

Oh my goodness Jackster bargain Grin even better if you want to combine religion and exercise gospel workout reduced from £87 to £1.95 Shock I think I can resist that bargain though.

Purple fingers crossed the pull up assist is good, I may have got one too Grin Bit silly though as I only found it because I was looking for something for 50p to bring my basket over £20 and ended up spending an extra £20.

Jacksterbear · 28/11/2015 11:07

poppy - gospel workout not my cup of tea either, but I actually do have a friend who might love it so might send her the link!

Grin at being sucked in to spending an extra £20!!

OP posts:
Purpleraindeer · 28/11/2015 16:49

So.... Instead of doing accelerator last night I slumped on the sofa and had a pizza. Was annoying as pizza didn't taste good after all the healthy food I've been eating (back on mfp trying to loose a bit of fat per thinner leaner stronger). Anyway did a double this am to make up for it - accelerator + p90x3 yoga. Tiring!
Made choc cake this afternoon so that will make up for it Cake

yumyumpoppycat · 28/11/2015 18:53

Purple super well done on double - how was accelerator? Star

will join you on mfp....starting.... tomorrow after I finish the tub of ben and jerrys and some wine . Work christmas do next weekend so hopefully fun night, nice meal and drinks to look forward to.

Hope your friend likes the gospel workout Jackster I will be intrigued to find out Grin

Purpleraindeer · 29/11/2015 09:41

Accelerator was good. Started off thinking it was easy but as usual for p90x3 this was rather deceptive and I was shattered by the end. His cardio work outs are not as good as Shaun t tho.

Enjoy your Xmas party poppy. I had to miss our work one as I was working. Sad

Off for family slap up lunch (and choc cake) today. Cvx later to work it off...

Jacksterbear · 30/11/2015 19:23

How's everyone doing?

My Turbofire box set arrived so I did the first on the schedule: a 30 min cardio plus 10 min stretch. It was hard to follow (very fast combinations of moves, like jab - cross - hook -knee - upper cut - back kick - that sort of thing). Being impatient to get going though, I neither watched the instructional/introductory disc, nor selected the "new to class" option on the workout (not sure what this does) - so my fault really! Grin

OP posts:
yumyumpoppycat · 30/11/2015 19:45

Well done Jackster - I don't know how chalean does all that crazy jumping! V impressed you have alrady started!

Purple I logged my food today, defo feel full from the protein but it is going to be difficult to hit the protein without the fat. I came out highest on fat and lowest on carbs today. Did yoga today, lots of falling over as usual!

yumyumpoppycat · 30/11/2015 19:46

PS that sucks about missing your work christmas party because you were working, that doesn't sound fair!

Purpleraindeer · 30/11/2015 20:54

Jackster - I never watch the intro DVD either. Mind you that's why I put the tape so far apart in agility x it was actually physically impossible! Am sure there's exercises I still don't do right now as I never watch the demo.

Good work on the diet poppy. I've not been on mfp the last few days as I've been away and can't work out what to log. Will be back on from weds. I did have pizza for lunch today tho. Am not sure that fits with the thinner leaner stronger philosophy! Shock
