Helps if I put the rest of my post in!!! 11.1 miles from me todya

I grew up on deeside I'd love to do the ballater race!

cinnamongreyhound · 09/06/2015 20:57

5.5 miles from me with my friend, we decided not to join the club social run as there's a lot of stop start. We only stopped to let dogs off and put them back on and did my furthest distance since November! 380.9

AggressiveBunting · 09/06/2015 21:07

Thanks all for your advice re UTMB. I know it'll be super tough to get in. For one thing, to get enough points I need to do 3 x 100km trail races within a year. However, I did hear they like HK runners as they know we're used to climbs. Maybe it can just be my pipe dream . You gotta have one, right?

AggressiveBunting · 09/06/2015 21:08

And we'll done to Cinnamon on a post- baby longest run!!!!

AggressiveBunting · 09/06/2015 21:09

And we'll done to Cinnamon on a post- baby longest run!!!!

LaughingM · 09/06/2015 21:18

Amazing goal aggressive!

And well done on longest post-baby run cinnamon

I don't think I updated any of my miles this week, so 380.9 + 2 miles of intervals, 3.1 which felt tempo but wasn't particularly and 7.5 LSR = 393.5

Was supposed to run after work today, but worked late and was too tired and hungry! Can't decide whether to take running or swimming stuff for tomorrow. Maybe both, then I can chose which one I feel more in the mood for!

Anglaise1 · 09/06/2015 21:20

Cinnamon, well done on your longest run post baby bun. A girl from the club c ame back tonight, she gave birth early Feb and started running 2 weeks ago, which is probably more the norm. I don't know how you do it!
Aggressive, I chatted to some ultra trailer guys tonight from the club who have done the ccc and TNB, there are usually around 8000 applicants for 2500 dossards for the UTMB, but yes, you need a dream and why not?? If I didn't have so many constraint I'd do the same.
11.25 miles from me, dog running plus club run
392.15 ( I think??)

Anglaise1 · 09/06/2015 21:22

Good luck Aggressive.

Well done, Cinnamon. I'm another one in awe of you! Smile

Neeko · 09/06/2015 21:46

I seem to have lost a post.

Ann- good luck with the shoes. Very frustrating.

Louey. I'll never run a marathon. Ever. Hope ds3 had a lovely birthday. Is that him 5? Time has flown. There's some good news on the old thread if you ever get the chance to pop in. Different names, same people.

Loueytb3 · 10/06/2015 07:54

Haha neeko. That's what I said. And now I'm signed up for at least one more...

Will try and pop over to the other thread. I do think of them all

HalleLouja · 10/06/2015 08:23

Thanks Louey. Shows you what a bit of hard work can do. Am going to be doing some more running technique sessions and possibly some weight sessions to see if I can improve any more.

Not sure if I mentioned it before but I was runner of the month in my club. Its just an article about me and running and not a proper prize. But was really touched. I think it was because of my challenge I got chosen.

lastqueenofscotland · 10/06/2015 09:16

Awful awful awful this morning so slow I had to hop on the bus or
Is not have made it to work

407.25

Neeko · 10/06/2015 11:41

Must have been the morning for it Lastqueen as mine was also slow today. Managed 3.85 before I ran out of time.

411.1

holmessweetholmes · 10/06/2015 12:41

Haven't caught up on the thread yet, but had to come on and whinge Blush. Have finally got over the cold and cough which made me miss my HM at the weekend. Was looking forward to getting out for a nice run in the lovely sunshine to ease myself back in...

And then my bloody clumsy oaf of a dog hurtles into my knee while we are out on a walk! Bent it slightly the wrong way and knocked me over! It's a little bit swollen and stiff. Nothing to worry about, I don't think, but annoying all the same!

Right - off to read about all your lovely runs now Envy Grin.

AnnPerkins · 10/06/2015 13:23

Ouch holmes what a nuisance! Some ice and ibuprofen and lay off it for a day perhaps?

Well done on runner of the month Halle. It's nice of your club to recognise your efforts.

I went out for 20 minutes last night in my old shoes and all was well. And I have a small confession to make, as I was putting on my shoes I noticed that they still had the insoles in that my physio made for me when she treated my shin splints. They have a small wedge on the inside of the heel to stop my ankle rolling over. I had forgotten they were still there and didn't swap them to my new shoes on Sunday. Obviously they will make all the difference Hmm Blush Blush Blush

I'm going to try a longer run tomorrow and if still pain free I will try a shorter run in my new shoes (with wedges) on Saturday.

So sorry for the whingeing on here for probably no reason. Still no reply from Up & Running to my email, hopefully it won't matter though.

cinnamongreyhound · 10/06/2015 14:33

Doh AnnPerkins! Hope it is that!

I've been nutmeg'd by my little dog too Holmessweetholmes, they're so daft! Hope the swelling goes down quickly Sad

Sorry for all those with slow runs! And feeling very Blush about all the comments on me being back running!

AggressiveBunting · 10/06/2015 14:59

Dogs have very hard skulls- fact- as do toddlers!

10k (6.2 miles) from me this morning to make 417.3. Felt like it wasn't too much like hard work - managed to get into my stride around the 4k mark, and enjoy the views over the harbour, so that was a nice end to the holiday.

holmessweetholmes · 10/06/2015 16:20

Grin Yes - he has a hard skull and is also very big and heavy but still with 8 month old gangly legs and crazy sense of direction! He came pelting down the path towards me, so I stood still, thinking he'd avoid me. NopeHmm.

Anglaise1 · 10/06/2015 17:34

Holmes I hope your knee recovers. I run a lot with my dog and touch wood so far no accidents, but he is so fast that one day he will trip me up.
AnnP I hope your new shoes are better with the insoles.
7 miles from me including intervals.
724.3

cinnamongreyhound · 10/06/2015 21:21

My big dog will always avoid if you stand still the little one is a lunatic and you take your life in your own hands running with her Wink

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 10/06/2015 23:34

Sorry to hear of your doggy injury holmes

Hope the shoes work Ann

Glad you have had a nice holiday Bunting

Well done Halle, how lovely to get the recognition Smile

3.85 from me last night, along the Thames in central London. I think I will wait until after the tourist season is finished to go that way again, the South Bank/London Eye was rammed with people, I think I might be in a few photos Grin

728.15 (?) after my recent addition failures/transposition errors/typos someone should check Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 11/06/2015 07:16

You've done well this time ohOneOhTwoOhThree Wink

First morning run since early April and what a beautiful morning! Not a speedy one as my running buddy is a bit creaky as she puts it but lovely!

732.15

lastqueenofscotland · 11/06/2015 07:32
