Cocolepew, to paraphrase Jillian: you will get uncomfortable; you will look ridiculous; but you will not die. Grin. Good luck!

Cocolepew · 04/05/2014 18:29

5/6 times a week Shock

I'll sure her if I do die Grin

Jacksterbear · 04/05/2014 18:39

Good work today knotty and spinning.

L1 shred done, first time using 3kgs weights on that one and it was fine, yay Smile. Well it's only taken me 3 years of JMing to work my way up from 1kgs to 3kgs Blush Grin.

IdkickJilliansAss · 04/05/2014 18:48

Well done Jackster!

Did the L2 shred... I weirdly found it easier than L1!

IdkickJilliansAss · 04/05/2014 20:42

Excellent Kiaora

Thank you Blush

Well done Jackster and Kiaora Grin

spinningirl10 · 05/05/2014 09:58

Morning Grin

I've done level 1 of 6w6p and Ri30 L4.

First time I've done 6w6p and I don't know what I think of it! It's very fast moving, I know people have said L2 moves fast so it must be quite hard to keep up. I'm going to aim to do it a couple of times a week so I'll probably enjoy it more as I get used to itGrin

IdkickJilliansAss · 05/05/2014 10:18

What is L4 ripped like spinning?

OP posts:
spinningirl10 · 05/05/2014 10:50

It's the 3-2-1 system, it's bit easier than L3 I think but it has burpees which I'd already done in 6w6p so lots of them for me today! And those narrow arm push ups which I hate!!!

spinningirl10 · 05/05/2014 10:52

I just randomly chose it, I can never remember any of the levels in ripped or 30ds until I'm half way through and I start swearingGrin

Jacksterbear · 05/05/2014 11:33

spinning I am the same, and tend to do things like thinking "I need to pick a workout which isn't too hard on the shoulders, hmm I think Ripped L2 will be a good one..." Only to realise half way through that L2 has that bastard plank cardio circuit! Grin

I like Ripped L4 although it's quite tough. Good combination of hard cardio (a la L2) and hard strength moves (a la L3).

IdkickJilliansAss · 05/05/2014 12:44

I've done NMTZ and a couple of circuits from 10 minute solutions to blast belly fat

I did L1 of 6W6P today. Kept having to pause and rewind - she goes too fast between the moves, I can't flip around that quick and I find I need to look at a lot of them for a while to work out what to do. So it took considerably more than 35 mins. Don't like it as much as shred, Ri30 or NMTZ but will try to stick at it at least this week now I've started. I also did some extra upper body stuff - 3x however-many-possible of military presses, bent over rows and deadlift with hammer curls, using my new pair of 6kg dummbels, and also triceps dips. Plan to do extra ATG squats and maybe planks tomorrow... or possibly do a run if the weather is ok/

IdkickJilliansAss · 05/05/2014 16:48

That's good going Errol what's an ATG squat?

OP posts:
ErrolTheDragon · 05/05/2014 16:53

'Ass to Grass' - essentially as deep a squat as you can do, keeping feet flat. As with all squats, lead with the bum, keep knees back and moving in line with feet, raise arms forward to balance - do slowly with control.

spinningirl10 · 05/05/2014 16:59

Interesting to hear your thoughts on 6w6p, I didn't like it all that much, I definitely couldn't do it 5/6 days a week for 6 weeks!!! I'd get bored! But incorporated into my routine a couple of days a week I think I can cope withGrin

spinningirl10 · 05/05/2014 17:00

I always try to do my squats really low, it hurts but you do get results!

ErrolTheDragon · 05/05/2014 17:03

I haven't quite decided whether to try to stick to 6W6P all week or alternate with maybe KB&T. Or do more NMTZ for a while longer.

Jacksterbear · 05/05/2014 17:24

If you're not keen on L 1 6w6p, try L2; faster but no plank work, it's all much more cardio focused. I much prefer it.

spinningirl10 · 05/05/2014 17:33

Yes I'll probably try L2 as well Jack. I like the plank stuff. It might just be one of those that takes me a while to get used toGrin

ErrolTheDragon · 05/05/2014 23:19

I don't mind planks - actually I was quite pleased to get to the plank jacks and mountain climbers today as I knew what to do with them without looking!

spinningirl10 · 06/05/2014 07:27

I've done NMTZ this morning.

spinningirl10 · 06/05/2014 09:20

6w6p must have worked stomach muscles that I don't usually use as I can really feel it this morning! Also in my sides.
Found NMTZ quite hard this morning, I think it's because when I exercise early I don't even have a coffee first. With 30ds orRi30 it's a shorter workout so seemed easier!
