Lots of kickboxing and running for me last week, got up to 9 MPH for 50 mins on Saturday so pleased with that Smile I've done L1&2 of KBFF and L1 of SIWW's today Grin

L1&2 of KBFF done today and I've been convinced that running to the swimming pool 3 miles away having a swim and running home is a good idea tonight Grin just hope I don't miss 'The Missing'

Wow awesome stuff idkick!

Theonly, sorry, I don't know about the kettlebells stuff!

T25 beta round workouts done today and yesterday.

knottyhair · 12/11/2014 14:48

Great stuff Idkick! Jackster what are T25 beta round workouts??
Did SIWW 1 on Monday, Ripped 2 yesterday. Was going to do 6W6P L1 today but the top of my back is really sore today - did a lot of walking yesterday pushing DD in a heavy pushchair loaded with stuff uphill and I think I overdid it! So rest day today. Planning BFBM just once through tomorrow, either SIWW 2 or 6W6P 1 Friday, NMTZ Sat and 2 levels of KBFF on Sunday.

Jacksterbear · 13/11/2014 07:55

Gah! Wrote a long and probably quite dull reply re Focus T25, then lost it!

Each round (or cycle as he actually calls them) = a set of 5-6 workouts. You are meant to follow each round/cycle for 5 weeks (following a calendar that comes with the box set) then move on to the next. I have the alpha and beta cycles box set - think there's is also a gamma cycles which I don't have.

Plan for the week sounds good knotty. I thought at first you were saying you usually do the whole of BFBM more than once at a time ShockShock, but then realised it was more likely you mean you do just the first time through of each circuit without the repetition, then move on to the next circuit - yes?

knottyhair · 13/11/2014 12:56

You're right Jackster. faints at idea of doing BFBM twice. I'm restricted to half an hour on school days so that's all I can fit in. Plan has gone slightly awry as I've realised I won't be able to fit anything in on Saturday after all. Never mind! Focus T25 sounds interesting - how long is it each day?

Jacksterbear · 13/11/2014 16:41

25 mins workouts plus 2-3 mins cool downs. You are meant to do it mon - fri, with a double on the Friday, plus a stretch session DVD at the weekend - however I must say I have never managed the double and have never done the stretch! Blush I tend to mix and match now according to what I can face feel needs working on, on a given day.

Jacksterbear · 14/11/2014 08:17

My first experience of a tabata circuits class yesterday (last-minute decision as a friend mentioned she was going) and ouch! Hurting today! Grin

notyummy · 14/11/2014 13:49

Did Bobs Cardio Rev today. That was 'fun'. Does anyone else who has done it think that Zack looks like he is sulking at the end because the two ladies have done better than him Grin

IdkickJilliansass · 14/11/2014 21:01

Well done Jackster love tabata. 61/2 mile run last night and L1&2 of KBFF tonight for me Smile

Not checked in for a while. Can't believe how impressively fit you all seem right now. Especially the runs...

I'm nearly 36 weeks. Still doing JM 30 day shred or a circuits class, plus the stationery bike.

Has anyone tried a rebounder/mini trampoline?!

notyummy · 15/11/2014 15:46

We all did Parkrun this morning (8 year old dd got a new PB- 30 mins 40 secs!) Then DH and I did Ripped L2 when we got back.

IdkickJilliansass · 15/11/2014 18:55

Now THAT is impressive Roonerspism do you know what you're having or is it a surprise, can't believe you are 36 weeks, exciting! Well done to Notyummy's DD Smile I went for a run with friends this morning, we drop the girls off at Tap run for 30 mins come back help them change for modern go for another 30 minutes run come back take them down to singing class and collapse in the cafe with a cup of tea Grin

Roonerspism, that is amazing! At 36 weeks with DD I could barely pull my old lady shopping trolley back from Waitrose (a 10 min walk) Blush. Can't help with the trampoline question I'm afraid! Notyummy, congrats to your DD! And I always think Zak looks like a bit of wuss compared to the women on Bob's DVDs. Well done on the Tabata Jackster and the running Idkick. Did SIWW 2 Friday, nothing yesterday, just did L2 & 1 of KBFF. Need to jot down my plan for this week... DP and I are off to London later to schlep round the British Museum then seeing Stewart Lee tonight so could be a late night (I'm normally in bed at 9.30!) so may not feel like getting up at 5.15 to fit in a workout before the school run - will see how I go.

Roonerspism · 17/11/2014 03:30

Mmmm - I think if you saw my efforts you would be less impressed. More like Mr Greedy waving a 2 kg weight in the hair whilst shuffling :)

notyummy impressive time for an 8 year old (was it 5km?)

i'dkick wish you lived near me! Eldest DD also has tap and I take the dog for a 30 minute wander (used to run). No one wants to come :)

Hope you had a good weekend knotty I don't even know what some of the acronyms mean now. Looking forward to catching up in a few months.

IdkickJilliansass · 17/11/2014 21:49

KBFF L1&2 this am and 1hour circuit class PM. During my last pregnancy I sat on my butt eating as many sausage rolls as possible! Me too Rooners I'm in Hertfordshire, you?

Morning! So far this week I've done:
Mon - 6W6P 1
Tues - Ripped 3
today - Shred 3

Plan is for Yoga Inferno 1 tomorrow, Ripped 4 on Friday. Will take a rest day over the weekend, not sure yet what to do on the other day. Managed to include the 5kg weights in my Shred this morning but only for the dumb bell cleans and the plank rows.

notyummy · 19/11/2014 16:02

Rooner- Yes it was a 5k so she is doing well! Well done on keeping up during pregnancy- I did that too and it made it a lot easier getting back into it afterwards.

I did bobs yoga on Sunday, cross trainer session on Monday and Shred 2 yesterday plus a 5 mile run today. Rest day tomorrow. I tried to use my 5kg for most of the shred, but it was never going to happen for the V raises!! Also the squat and pull I managed (just) the first set but had to drop down to 3kg for the second.

IdkickJilliansass · 19/11/2014 20:19

Remind me what a V Raise is Notyummy having a mind blank! Well done Smile Yesterday I did a 25 min kettle bell core workout in the morning and an 8 mile run in the evening. Today I'm having a rest day as have real muscle aches but will be back on it tomorrow Grin

notyummy · 19/11/2014 22:16

It's one of the strength exercises in the last circuit of L2. Chair squat and at the same time, holding weights facing out the way and raise them. So you are holding on either side of your hips and you raise with straight arms in an upside down v shape, bringing them together in front of your face as you reach deepest part of lunge. It's hard because you can't use big arm muscles (biceps and triceps) very much at all.

Roonerspism · 19/11/2014 22:44

5kg weights for v-raise?! Impressive. Pre pregnancy I was still only using 3kg!

notyummy is bob's yoga very un-zen like?

idkick - I'm in Scotland so probably too far for a shared Saturday morning run!

I used to run a lot pre-kids but my body hasn't really enjoyed it for 5 years or so. I find it drains me whereas a session on my bike or swimming or weights make me feel great. Tis very weird - I had run for 20 years before that.

notyummy · 20/11/2014 15:28

No my point was that I can't use 5kg for v raises!!

Jacksterbear · 20/11/2014 20:19

idkick I am in Herts! Wherabouts are you? I'm N/E.

Can just about do those v raises in L2 shred with 3kgs - but that is pure torture!

Various stuff done this week incl L1 6w6p and a JM kickbox cardio from YouTube.
