I don't think I'll be doing any JM today.....too many glasses of wine last night means I'm having a really lazy day!

IdkickJilliansAss · 27/04/2014 16:23

Hope you had a good time. I've done a hour of pilates as I'm not in the mood for leaping about today Grin

Morning everyone! Wow, so much Jillian related action! I have been reading and lurking but not posting. No Jillian here for about a week - away last weekend on hen weekend, then ill for a few days when I got back. Did Killer L3 yesterday, nothing today but pushing DD 4.5 miles to music class and back. Planning on 6W6P L2 tomorrow, then back to Ripped/Shred probably. However, inspired by your posts, have pre-ordered Shred It With Weights, plus 4kg & 8kg kettlebells - sadly, very excited Smile.

IdkickJilliansAss · 28/04/2014 06:37

I'd be excited too knotty make sure you let us know what it's like Smile

I have done 30 day shred all the way through a few times and 6 week 6 pack, BFBM and NMTZ my favourites are 30 day shred and NMTZs I have ripped in 30 but never really got into it. I have just joined fitfusion.com which has lots of her vids and heaps of other trainers too. They have a 2 week trial and then its $5.99 per month. Today I did one of her kick boxing ones. I have never felt so uncoordinated!!

ErrolTheDragon · 28/04/2014 08:58

Bigred - a selection of weights is good. The 2lb pair will probably serve you well for the 'anterior raise' type moves but you'll probably want bigger ones for other moves. If you're in the UK, weights nowadays are mostly in kgs ... my weights are a mix (1.5kg, 5lb, 3kg and 10lb).

SonorousBip · 28/04/2014 09:08

Hello! I feel like I am able to join in as ... drum roll ... I'm on Day 22 of 30DS. Actually I think level 3 isn't as big a stap up from L2 as I was expecting, so relatively good there. I'm sort of like an even wimpier Anita, though Smile

Has anyone done her yoga dvd? reviews are a bit mixed, but I thought I might move to it after I'd finished Shred. I've got ripped as well which I might intersperse - although I think ripped is much harder than shred and Jillian is sooo much bossier.

spinningirl10 · 28/04/2014 10:49

KB&T L2 And 30DS L3 doneGrin

spinningirl10 · 28/04/2014 10:49

Son I haven't done the yoga but I did order it yesterday so I'll let you know what I think Grin

ErrolTheDragon · 28/04/2014 10:53

NMTZ done. I quite enjoyed it, but was sort of expecting it to be a bit more divided between the different areas - I'd been thinking I could do the upper body/abs on this and then alternate for KB&T for lower body but it's not really like that. Which is good in one way but as I'm trying to do more with larger weights I'd quite like to work one area hard then rest it while I do a different part. Anyway, see how I feel tomorrow and either do it again or one of the others.

spinningirl10 · 28/04/2014 11:31

Errol, I've written down the different circuits so that I can choose which ones. So sometimes I do KB&T and then 2 ab circuits from NMTZ, I find that quite goodGrin

Jacksterbear · 28/04/2014 12:25

Ahh found you all! Smile

Errol I thought that too re the NMTZ circuits, but then it makes sense according to JM's philosophy that she tries to work as many muscle groups as poss in each circuit "because it burns more calories!"

KB&T L3 done today. It seems to be popular this week! I have finally worked out how to do hip heists without either going round in circles or crashing into the TV, which I'm quite chuffed about Grin.

IdkickJilliansAss · 28/04/2014 13:10

NMTZ done with 5kg weights for a change from 3kg

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 28/04/2014 14:56

Can I join you, please? I've got 30DS which I do sporadically but I've never done L3 because the DVD jumps/sticks Grin. I also have No More Trouble Zones but it's never been out of the case Blush. Does Ripped in 30 really work? I'd love more solid abs who wouldn't?!.

I've just got back into running too, so want to use the DVDs in combination with that to increase my fitness and get better running times/distances.

IdkickJilliansAss · 28/04/2014 15:04

Welcome Soft I only got to do ripped a couple of times before my toddler hid it but there are others on the thread who can tell you about it, NMTZ's has given me defined arms and legs and a much stronger core.

OP posts:
spinningirl10 · 28/04/2014 15:07

Hi Soft, yep ripped in 30 does get results. I think all JMs dvds help with running. Mine has definitely improved since doing JMGrin

Kick....well done on 5kg!!

IdkickJilliansAss · 28/04/2014 16:04

I admit to swearing..a lot!

BigRedApple · 29/04/2014 15:31

Errol, thanks for the advice. I've ordered 5lb weights.
I've done 6 days of 30 day shred consecutively. Where's my 6 pack and why do my thighs still touch at the top??? Wink

spinningirl10 · 29/04/2014 15:42

Hi ladiesGrin

I've done KB&T D28!! Only 2 more days to go and then I can mix it all up a bit Grin

IdkickJilliansAss · 29/04/2014 16:17

KB&T L3 done, sweated profusely as it's hard and it's very humid here today. I have a HIIT class tonight, god help me! spinning do you have titanium buns yet? Grin

OP posts:
spinningirl10 · 29/04/2014 17:39

Well done KickGrin

Haha I wish, it's definitely looking better though! My dp said its perfect nowWink I'm trying to get it a bit rounder.....not like Kim Kardashians, I think gets looks ridiculous!!!! Just round and firmishGrin

IdkickJilliansAss · 29/04/2014 18:41

knottyhair · 30/04/2014 06:48

Hi everyone! I did 6W6P L2 yesterday - I still think it's one of the hardest of Jillian's. Ripped L1 today (I tend to do them all in rotation and I'm back to working through all the levels of Ripped & Shred alternately). Used my 8kg kettlebell for the deadlifts & squat swing things. My 4kg one arrived yesterday - just waiting for the SIWW DVD now! If I get on OK with them, I might order Bob's Kettlebell one. Keep up the amazing work!

KiaOraOAotearoa · 30/04/2014 07:10

Hi everybody,

May I ask what you think (I am really new at this wholeDVD fitness thing):
I'm on day 10 of Level 1 30DS, I am ok-ish with it, some days better than others). I do it every day, no break/recup period.

I thought I should do 10 days on each level, is that realistic? Am I going to burn out with no break?

I'm in no rush to finish it, in fact it makes me feel so good once I've done it, I am seriously considering continuing it indefinitely. However, I am one of those people who need to become slightly fanatical about things, if I take a break I can see myself slipping into:oh well, can't be bothered today, I'll do it tomorrow, and in fact never go back to it. I know it has to suit me and my life style, so far I've been ok fitting it into my morning routine etc. it is the wear and tear that's worrying me. Should I be taking a break on the days I am swimming, for instance?

GerbilsAteMyCat · 30/04/2014 07:24

Marking place! On day 2 of 30DS using cans as hand weights :)
