Are you shredding, ripped? Do you want killer buns and thighs?! Join us here for everything Jillian and we can support each other through!

I've tried them all but not all levels of ripped (still cant find it) I like BFBM and NMTZ and think they really complement each other, I do like killer buns too.

IdkickJilliansAss · 02/05/2014 15:55

NMTZ done Grin

spinningirl10 · 02/05/2014 16:25

Those are the 2 that I'm going run along side each other Kick....seems like they offer a bit of everything!

IdkickJilliansAss · 02/05/2014 17:34

The beginning credits of NMTZ shows them doing the BFBM moves so they must have filmed both in one day. I need to get a life! Grin

Jacksterbear · 02/05/2014 17:56

Love the exercise shelf! What is Tae Bo?

OP posts:
Jacksterbear · 02/05/2014 19:02

Idkick Tae Bo is a martial arts- stylee series of workouts from the 90s, complete with slightly cheesy instructor and hilarious Lycra outfits. It's good fun!

spinningirl10 · 02/05/2014 19:09

haha jackster Love the outfits in the TaeBo clip! It looks fun!

I spy Nell McAndrews on your shelf, I like her workouts but not done one for a while. Don't get on with Davina so much, too much chat :)

Jacksterbear · 02/05/2014 19:21

spinning I find the Nell McAndrews one quite dull and very, very long! I like to do it every now and then to test my fitness levels, though.

Davina takes the credit for getting me from "totally unfit" to "fit enough to face Jillian"! I still use her workouts when I'm feeling a bit off form or have been ill, etc, and need a nice easy workout.

IdkickJilliansAss · 02/05/2014 19:28

That clip is the best!

knottyhair · 03/05/2014 05:36

Jackster, I also credit Davina with getting me started a few years ago. I don't do her DVDs now though, I ebayed them all a while ago - they just feel like a waste of time, Jillian works me so much harder, often in a shorter time. I do like old Dav though - recently sobbed through her Sport Relief documentary Blush. Can I big up Bob Harper as another alternative to Jillian? His workouts are all about an hour, so longer than Jillian but really really good, like Jillian turned up to eleven Smile.
Have done a Ripped L1 and a Shred L1 over the last couple of days - added weights into the cardio intervals. Nothing today as I'm taking DD out for the day quite early. Probably Ripped L2 tomorrow and if DP doesn't work on Monday, I might do Bob's Cardio Conditioning.

spinningirl10 · 03/05/2014 13:18

I think I've seen Bob Harper on a sky channel so I'll record him and give it a try!

Not sure if I'll do anything today, lacking motivation!!

IdkickJilliansAss · 03/05/2014 14:16

I've ordered that cardio conditioning for a bargainous 5.99, going to blame you if I die Knotty! Grin I'm going to do BFBM later but only so I can have some curry!

OP posts:
IdkickJilliansAss · 03/05/2014 17:12

BFBM done with weights

OP posts:
knottyhair · 03/05/2014 18:36

Mmmm, curry........ Don't blame me Idkick, it's Notyummy who introduced Bob to us Jillian lovers Smile. He is good though. Hope you & Spinning like him.

IdkickJilliansAss · 03/05/2014 18:57

Is it really sweaty? The Bob cardio that is!

OP posts:
knottyhair · 03/05/2014 21:35

I'm ashamed to say I've only done it once before (I have 4 Bob DVDs and this is the most recent one I bought), and I can't really remember! I know it involves weights as well, and I found it pretty tough going although I "enjoyed" it if that's the right word Grin. If I manage to fit it in tomorrow or Monday I'll let you know!

spinningirl10 · 04/05/2014 09:25

BFBM doneGrin thanks to my 7 year old who got me off the sofa to do it!!

spinningirl10 · 04/05/2014 09:27

Ooh the curry sounds good KickGrin

I didn't do any JM yesterday and ended up using most of my calories for wine, oops! The sun is shining today though so off out for a walk later.

knottyhair · 04/05/2014 11:54

Managed to fit in Bob's Cardio Conditioning this morning. I'd say it's not full on cardio like BFBM but I found it quite tough! It feels more relentless than Jillian, not sure if that's because it's an hour long or because it's a different format. With Jillian's circuits, if there's a move you hate, you know when you've done it twice that's it, but evil Bob will slip things in for the umpteenth time just when you're feeling safe Smile. His trademark appears to be saying "all I want you to do..." and then following it with something horrible! There were a few things where I started off feeling like I needed heavier weights but my god, after a few more repetitions I knew I didn't! Lots and lots of squats, plus he does a minute of mountain climbers, 5 press-ups and repeat, and repeat again (I hate mountain climbers!). The last 15 mins are relatively easy, apart from "moshpit jumps" (jumping up and down with your arms straight up over your head) which then morph into "tuck jumps" (like cannonballs in Jillian but faster). Cardio is not my strong point though so some of you might find it a lot easier than me!

spinningirl10 · 04/05/2014 17:19

Sounds like hard work Knotty, well doneGrin

I just did L2 of JMs yoga! This was to offset the large ice cream I ate On My walkGrin

IdkickJilliansAss · 04/05/2014 17:24

Sounds hardcore enough to me Knotty! Rest day here for me Smile

Cocolepew · 04/05/2014 17:29

I ordered the 30 Day Shred today.
My question is, will I die?

spinningirl10 · 04/05/2014 17:39

Coco, 30day shred is a fab workout and you will see results if you do it 5/6 times a week and combine with a healthy dietGrin

There is a May shred thread with lots of support for people starting the shred. But you're welcome to stick around here and share your progress with us. I think most of us have done it.
