10k run done yesterday and hip hop abs sculpt this morning. I am pathetically excited as the diligent Amazon man works on Sundays and I have just taken delivery of Jillians ultimate box set!!! I dont know what to do first Grin

Well done keeping up with a marathon runner Idkick, amazing! Enjoy the box set! The only one I haven't had a go at yet is L2 of the Yoga Inferno. I like all the others. The kickboxing routines are only 18 mins (without the cool down) so good if you're short of time but I did 2 back to back last weekend and really enjoyed it. Lots of whooping though... (from the ladies behind Jillian, not me!). Did Killer Buns 2 this morning. Plan for the week is:

Mon - Killer Abs 1
Tues - Ripped 4
Wed - 1 Week Shred Cardio
Thurs - Shred 3
Fri - half of a Bob, maybe Cardio Conditioning?

Hi to everyone else, sorry got to rush and take DS to birthday party.

Roonerspism · 12/10/2014 20:47

Ooh idkick must check out what is in the box set and see what I haven't tried.

IdkickJilliansass · 12/10/2014 21:02

I tried workout one of Kickboxing fast fix, loved it! Knotty is right about the whooping though Grin

L1&2 of kick ff done Smile

OP posts:
IdkickJilliansass · 14/10/2014 17:45

Tried the strength section of 1 week shred and L3 killer abs

OP posts:
knottyhair · 14/10/2014 18:08

What did you reckon Idkick? I love the way you went straight for L3 of Killer Abs!
Did Killer Buns 2 on Sunday. Does it annoy anyone else that Jillian often gets her left & right muddled up, and that Anita does those statue of liberty things completely wrong?? {off to get a life}.
Yesterday & today managed to stick to my plan and tomorrow should be fine but I completely forgot that we have secondary school visits first thing Thurs & Fri with DS and we've got to be out the door much earlier than normal. Can't face getting up any earlier I do already, so might not be able to fit anything in, or perhaps just one level of KBFF.

IdkickJilliansass · 15/10/2014 18:35

I liked it but I'm really loving KBFF so much that nothing much gets a look in until I overdose on it! Did all 3 levels of it this morning and was drenched in sweat Grin tmi I know, going to check out hard body next. I dont like it when they muck up, it also frustrates me that a lot of the kickboxing moves are only done on one side iyswim, dont want to end up lopsided!

OP posts:
Jacksterbear · 15/10/2014 19:03

I may have box set envy Grin.

Did JM's "cardio kickbox" which I found on YouTube today. Is that the same as kbff?

Have not noticed the Statue of Liberty mess-up in KB&T L2. Did it last Fri. Yes I think JM sometimes takes into account the fact that you will be mirror image to her, ie her L will be your R, and sometimes doesn't. I tend to ignore the L/R I structions and just copy - all fine until they go sideways on to the camera and I get a bit confused! Blush

IdkickJilliansass · 15/10/2014 20:07

I had it Jackster my box set has been a looooong time coming Grin No that's a different one but I'll give that a bash too, love martial arts Smile

OP posts:
knottyhair · 16/10/2014 12:36

It's just that Jillian bangs on about the statue of liberty being a 1-legged squat and not to bend at the waist, and Anita just bends over which is a hell of a lot easier! And she's doing the advanced version. gets off petty soap box.
Didn't manage anything yesterday in the end, I felt ridiculously sick with nerves when I got up as it was 11+ results day for DS (he passed!), which is ridiculous I know but just couldn't concentrate on anything. But managed L3 Shred today, and depending on time will do either half a Bob, or Bob's Workout or one level of KBFF (not as hardcore as all 3 Idkick!).

IdkickJilliansass · 16/10/2014 17:50

That's not ridiculous, well done miniknotty!! In extreme shred and shed Jillian adds a jump to the statue of liberty move. Im going for a run with a couple of friends tonight

OP posts:
knottyhair · 17/10/2014 14:27

Idkick, I do normally include the jump Smile. Hope you enjoyed your run. Only managed 1 level of KBFF this morning as we had to be out early to visit another school, but I did L2 which I find the toughest. Planning a big family walk tomorrow so might give myself the day off Jillian/Bob, with either Killer Buns L3 or Hard Body L2 on Sunday.

IdkickJilliansass · 18/10/2014 15:20

6 mile run and 2 3/4 of KBFF done, its my bday tomorrow and im going out tonight so preempting a day of rest tomorrow!

OP posts:
Jacksterbear · 18/10/2014 16:20

Happy birthday for tomorrow idkick Wine. And congratulations to knotty's DS Cake.

Impressive amounts of exercise going on here. Well done all.

Have worked out x5 this week (missed Monday night's Insanity class and spent the rest of the week trying to make up for it Grin), so feeling quite pleased with myself. Even managed to do an "exercise date" with DH, when we did Shaun T's Upper Body together. Yep we are that romantic. Grin

notyummy · 18/10/2014 16:22

Still plugging away here but a bit manic so no time to post. Managed a Killer Buns L2 for the first time in ages on Monday. It's not hard at all CV wise but my legs could feel it. They felt ok the next day though, which was good As I did a 5 mile run. Night out a few glasses of wine on Tuesday so Bobs yoga was quite enough on Wed- although did walk about 5 miles too. Nothing on Thursday and 45 mins on the cross trainer yesterday. Did out first ever family park run this morning - 8 year dd did brilliantly, doing the 5k in 32 minutes and finishing first in the 10 and under ages group. We came home and DH and I did Ripped L4.

knottyhair · 19/10/2014 05:47

Notyummy, only you would do a 5k, and then come home and do a Jillian Grin. Well done to your DD, she's clearly her mother's daughter!
Happy Birthday Idkick Flowers Cake! Jackster, love the idea of your exercise date. I can't interest DP at all. He's converting a cellar at the moment so he says digging holes and lifting the bags of rubble into a skip are exercise enough.
No Jillian yesterday but we did a 7 mile walk, and I pushed DD for the time she was in the pushchair, and there were a couple of hills honest guv. Going for Hard Body 2 this morning. Plan for this week is:

Mon - 30 mins of Bob's Cardio Cond
Tues - Killer Buns 3
Weds - KBFF 2 levels
Thurs - Killer Abs 2
Fri - Yoga Inferno 2

DS is going away on Monday for his Year 6 residential for the week so I need distracting!

IdkickJilliansass · 20/10/2014 18:42

KBFF L1&2 done. Got parents evening tomorrow so will miss evening circuit class so planning on doing a quick Jillian in the am and jogging to the school and back for parents eve. Want to try hard body on Wednesday, is it any good Knotty?

OP posts:
IdkickJilliansass · 22/10/2014 11:14

Half of the strength section of 1 week shred and all 3 sections of KBFF done Smile

OP posts:
knottyhair · 22/10/2014 14:49

Wow, Idkick, that's impressive. I just did Levels 3 & 1 of KBFF this morning (in that order, I prefer it!).
Hard Body is good, I like it. I've only done it a few times as it's a longer one so I don't have time on school days, but I think that L2 is noticeably harder than L1 (I guess you'd expect that!). It is more like 6W6P in format, i.e. you do all the circuits once through, then repeat the whole thing. There is a live DJ as well, which I'm still not sure about....

knottyhair · 26/10/2014 11:35

Very quiet on here! Managed Killer Abs 2 on Friday, Yoga Inferno 2 yesterday, nothing today. Planning on Hard Body 1 tomorrow, NMTZ on Tuesday, not sure what we're doing after that so I need to wait & see. Hope everyone's OK.

IdkickJilliansass · 26/10/2014 21:30

Shopping expedition on Friday so I counted that as leisurely walking and extreme extreme hangover on Saturday so I made up for it today by doing all of KBFF and a little bit of FightFX but DH had to bring the kids back from the park for a toilet run so that seemed like a good place to stop!

Justnotimaginitive · 27/10/2014 16:52

Hi I was wondering if anyone could recommend the best Julian michaels work out.

I just tried the boost metabolism one and I'm not sure I like it that much, the shred is too easy Blush even level 3.

What I'm looking for is something I can do 2 days a week at home as I can't get to the gym on those days. My routine at the moment is.

Mon - nothing
Tues - abs followed by body pump
Weds - abs and circuits
Thurs- abs and body combat
Fri - nothing
Sat - spinning then abs
Sun - body pump then abs.

I feel really on edge if I don't get to do some form of exercise as it's a stress reliever for me. This week is difficult as it's half term so will only get to the gym twice in the week then weekend so I also need something I can do when it's holidays.

I would really welcome any suggestions Tia Smile

IdkickJilliansass · 27/10/2014 20:27

My favourite Jillian DVD is Kickboxing fast fix, it's broken down into 3 20 minute sections so you can do as much or as little as you have time for, it's fast paced and very sweaty. I do it with 2kg weights in my hands if I fancy a really intense session but its still an excellent workout without Smile. I had 5 kids marauding around my house today so I went out for a quick sprint to clear my head this evening!
