Oh right, that makes sense. I don't bother with the cooldown now, just do a few cobras if I feel I might have strained my back. Thanks

notyummy · 30/09/2014 20:07

Inspired by this ES and S talk I did it today. My plan was to do both levels but I was running short of time so didn't do the last circuit of L1 as I find it really easy- that capoeira or whatever seems a bit of a cop out! It's fair to say that doing them back to back was pretty tiring- and I agree there is quite a jump between one and two. Quick cross trainer session tomorrow morning as short of time. I managed to fit in a 3.5 mile yesterday which was good.

StuntNun · 30/09/2014 20:38

I meant to JM tonight but didn't have enough time thanks DH for promising to put the toddler to bed then coming in to 'help' at the last five minutes when I'd already done nappy, PJs, bottle, teeth and two stories plus hand holding in the dark to get him to sleep. Passive-aggressive rants aside I still managed a Stronglifts session and now I need to go find some protein.

IdkickJilliansass · 30/09/2014 21:59

Thanks Jackster that's so kind of you and I may have to take you up on that offer if it the panic rears its head again, she was poorly last week with a sore throat but wouldn't be convinced that not every illness equals vomiting and was hysterical but I imagine you know what that's like. Now she's back to health she has eased back in, I did speak to the school nurse but she said 'Those kind of problems are unusual in a child her age and difficult to know what to do, come back in three months if she's still doing it' erm thanks Grin I really like ES&S but tend to do L2 first so I'm fresh for the harder half. L1 is 30 mins without cool down and L2 is 45 minutes without cool down, v odd. I did a tabata class tonight Smile

I might give ES&S L2 a go tomorrow.

Hope your DD stays well for a good while now, idkick, and she gets over the fear. 'This too shall pass' - but so hard when you're going through it. Flowers

ErrolTheDragon · 01/10/2014 13:01

ES&S L2 done - quite enjoyed that (mostly) though what with stops to rewind to work out what she was doing, and for breath/water it took me about an hour by itself (with no cooldown). Had to use modified versions of some of the moves - I can't see me ever being able to do that crab-type thing. If I get into that position and try to push on my hands, absolutely nothing happens.

notyummy · 02/10/2014 06:28

Which crab one is that? There's a few of that type of move! My couple of nemesises (or should that be nemesi...?) are the single legged mountain climbers, and that push up thing from plank to push up position. They just Don't Get Any Easier!

ErrolTheDragon · 02/10/2014 12:13

I may have used the wrong term - by 'crab' I mean the one where your arms are supposed to go the wrong way, the body ends up arched right up with the head down (did JM call it a wheel?). The one where she says something about messing up their hair. There's only one of those, the others the hands are the right way round IYKWIM, they're (mostly) ok.

I can do a few one-legged mountain climbers, not too fast and then have to do the rest of the set both legs (but at least can do that properly now). Those plank things aren't easy... but a year ago I'd have found them totally impossible!

Jacksterbear · 02/10/2014 16:17

Those are the ones I thought you meant errol - I can't do them: they hurt my wrists and make me dizzy!
Took me ages to work out how to do hip heists, without ending up crashing into the walls, too!

notyummy · 02/10/2014 20:41

Ah right- sorry I am being thick! I am ok with that one. Just those other two I find really tough (I find the overall thing pretty hard mind you.)

StuntNun · 03/10/2014 09:37

No JM again here but I did a mini-kettlebells workout and Stronglifts again last night. Must try harder with JM.

IdkickJilliansass · 03/10/2014 19:36

Nemesi Grin love it! Had a big run with a sprint finish yesterday. Havent managed anything today with work and DH's turn to go for an epic ride but will get back on it tomorrow although I have to work then too, boo hidd

Idkick, how's your DD doing?
My exercise week went as planned until Friday morning - my sides & abs were really aching after just 30 mins of Bob's Ripped Core on Weds. Managed a L1 Shred (with weights in the cardio) on Thurs, but decided to take a day off on Friday and rest the muscles. Better yesterday so I did 6W6P L2, and did 2 levels of Kickboxing Fastfix this morning (only 18 mins each so not as impressive as it sounds). Major AF pain when I got up, but I find exercise generally helps (or just distracts with another type of pain!). Plan for this week is:

Mon - 30 mins of ES&S 1
Tues - either 1 Week Shred cardio or Ripped 3 plus walk to music class
Wed - Shred 2
Thurs - 1 Week Shred strength plus walk to town & back
Fri - either Ripped 3 or 30 mins of ES&S L2

Hope everyone's having a good weekend.

IdkickJilliansass · 06/10/2014 21:27

She's good thanks Knotty still a little sensitive (no change there) but going in fine. Sorry to hear about your pain but I am in awe of how you take it and try and turn it in to something positive, v inspiring. I did a 10k run this evening and a 30 minute sprint on Saturday although I ate too much paella before I went out and nearly threw up Grin nice!

StuntNun · 06/10/2014 22:13

Pilates and Stronglifts today but Jillian is much neglected of late.

Jacksterbear · 07/10/2014 09:27

knotty, your plan for the week sounds good, and well done for exercising through the pain (I find the same re it helping a bit).

idkick I'm really pleased your DD is happier going in to school.

stunt come back to Jillian! Grin

Last week: Ripped L1, Insanity class, 25 mins exercise bike, Shaun T's "total body circuit", and Ripped L4.

This week so far: Insanity class. We did a "fit test" which was fun!

IdkickJilliansass · 07/10/2014 11:51

Roonerspism · 09/10/2014 21:10

Just checking in. Impressive stuff going in here.

I'm still doing a JM once or twice a week. Really enjoying yoga meltdown. And swimming and exercise bike once a week. 30 weeks now but feeling really fit. Might actually look fit if I stop consuming so much chocolate :)

notyummy · 09/10/2014 21:16

Hi all and welcome annabellesmum. Been a manic week. Did a long walk with DH (and a hangover...) on Sunday (had done NMTZ on Saturday.) Then cross trainer Monday and Wednesday and L4 Ripped Tuesday. Day off today and then a run tomorrow and either Jillian or Bob on Saturday.
