Wow idkick that's impressive stuff!

Justnot, I like pretty much all the JM workouts (other than BFBM, which I hate the music of). I actually find Shred pretty hard despite being fairly fit - think that's because although I have good cardio fitness and lower body / core strength, I'm an upper body weakling, so anything with weights and/or lots of plank work kills me. Blush Worth considering heavier weights (incl. in the cardio too) if you liked Shred but didn't find it challenging enough. Or try Ripped in 30 which is the same format but a bit harder (well, not L1, but Ls 2-4 probably are).

L1 and 2 Shred done so far this week. Should get through all 3 levels, plus something more fun at the weekend - not bad for half term week!

IdkickJilliansass · 29/10/2014 18:51

L2&3 of KBFF done, my DH is a cyclist but its getting so dicey cycling at night what with slippery roads and drivers trying to kill him despite mega wattage lights all over so he has decided to give running a bash so I'll have to share the evenings with him now Grin

A quick sprint for me yesterday afternoon before taking the girls to a soft play Halloween disco, joy Grin managed to get a plastic tumbler of very dubious white wine to take the edge off, desperate times!

Jacksterbear · 31/10/2014 08:15

Grin idkick. Am taking DCs to soft play Halloween party this morning! Will hopefully also fit in a Shred at some point.

Happy Haloween all Halloween Smile

knottyhair · 31/10/2014 09:28

Did Hard Body 1 on Mon, KBFF 2 & 3 on Tues, nothing Weds, Shred 1 (weights for the cardio) yesterday and Ripped 1 today. Cracked open my new 5kg weights for Ripped this morning (only some of the moves though!) and added weights to the cardio as well. Halloween party this afternoon at a mate's house, then we're away for the weekend until Monday afternoon so nothing more for me until Tues. Have a great Halloween everyone Halloween Smile!

IdkickJilliansass · 31/10/2014 09:59

Well done Knotty that's great stuff! How funny Jackster Smile at least yours is a day time thing, ours was 6.30-8.30 so the kids were knackered, still got up at 6.30 though!

Went shopping for some size 8 jeans today. I was size 12 before I met Jillian (and after meeting ds).

I love you Jillian Grin

Jacksterbear · 01/11/2014 15:19

Tooizzy congrats and well done Flowers.

knotty good work on the 5kgs, how did you get on with them?

NMTZ done today; hard going even with only 2kgs Blush.

Will try to fit in Shred L3 tmrw as didn't manage it yesterday.

Jacksterbear · 01/11/2014 15:19

Oops sorry Toizzy.

IdkickJilliansass · 01/11/2014 18:04

Well done Toizzy in January pre Jillian and MFP I was 10st and a big 12 and I'm now size 6.

All of KBFF done today, there's nothing embarrassing about using 2kgs Jackster I still can't really go higher than that with the shoulder stuff, best that you get your form right, I remember when Instarted shredding and used baked bean tins!

Toizzy · 03/11/2014 10:54

Thanks Jackster :)

Idkick that's very impressive! I'm aiming for a 6 now as well Wink

Jacksterbear · 03/11/2014 19:48

Is that Jan this year idkick?! That's amazing.

Interesting what you say re weights and form. I do often find when I am using my 3s that I am jerking too much /using momentum rather than slowly squeezing muscles to lift them (as I would with my 2s), which I know is not best form. But I'm not sure how to progress - carry on with the 3s and gradually try to improve form? Or do I need to invest in some 2.5s?!

Shred L3 done yesterday and a Shaun T cardio done today.

What are your workout plans this week, everyone?

notyummy · 03/11/2014 20:10

Hello all- I'm still here! Justnot- sounds what you need is No More Trouble Zones with 5kg\7kg + weights. As Jillian says, if it's too easy then your weights are too light Or try Bobs Workout- Bob Harper. 2 x 20 minute workouts. The first one is particularly nasty.... Or 2 shreds back to back with 5kg weights.

i'dkick- am v impressed by your transformation! I have certainly dropped a dress size over time partially due to Jillian. I am 5ft 10 so might look a bit odd as a 6 but have gone down to a small 10 (occasionally 8) and have stayed the same size fr a while.

Been a bit manic recently so fitting in little bits and pieces where I can. Did a 5 mile run yesterday, NMTZ on Sunday and bobs yoga on Friday. Not sure what to do tomorrow!

Theonlyoneiknow · 03/11/2014 20:13

This popped up in active convos haven't posted for months but still shredding! I often do a JM routine at the gym in my lunch hour.

Hoping to get a kettle bells dvd and some kettlebells 6kg for Xmas, any suggestions? Thanks!

Jacksterbear · 04/11/2014 18:00

Hi notyummy and theonly, good to "see" you!

KB&T L1 done today. Plan to do all 3 levels this week, plus an upper body /all-round workout of some sort. x

IdkickJilliansass · 04/11/2014 18:54

Yes Jan this year, im only 5ft 1 so it looks ok but it would be scary on someone 5ft 10 im going on a quick run then circuits class, back on Jillian 2mo I think!

IdkickJilliansass · 05/11/2014 10:14

All of KBFF, I took someone tip Knotty? And did L2 before L1 and it worked really well as I was fresh for the more technical level 2, thanks x

Jacksterbear · 05/11/2014 12:22

I think the box set with kbff may have to go onto my Christmas wish list! Grin

KB&T L2 done. I remember the first time I tried it, I actually laughed when I saw the one-legged burpees and the reverse squats. Now I can do the whole lot, and don't find it that hard at all other than those 2 moves, which I now find nasty but doable. Smile

knottyhair · 05/11/2014 12:35

Yes, that was me Idkick! I definitely find L2 the most "challenging" makes me flail around in the vain attempt to follow the combos. Jackster, in Killer Abs, you have to do 1 armed/1 legged burpees! Back to it yesterday after a long weekend away - did One Wk Shred Cardio yesterday, Killer Abs 3 today. Planning One Wk Shred Strength for tomorrow and either Shred 2 or SIWW 1 on Friday. The 5kg weights are handy for any bicep stuff, or anything requiring one weight, but I can't yet manage much else!

IdkickJilliansass · 05/11/2014 18:55

Well dobe Jackster that is great stuff. You should see me trying to do the spinning round kick Knotty Grin it is a great tip to do the levels the other way round, I didnt think I could enjoy KBFF even more! ;)

OP posts:
notyummy · 05/11/2014 20:55

I hate those one legged burpees. Don't feel to bad to start with..but by the end!!

Jacksterbear · 07/11/2014 12:24

One-armed and one-legged burpees?! Can't even envisage how that would work! Grin Confused

20 mins exercise bike done today (literally had only 35 mins to change, exercise, shower, dry hair, dress, so that seemed like the most efficient use of the time!). Alternated intervals of high speed /low resistance with intervals of lower speed / high resistance, and really went for it!

Jacksterbear · 09/11/2014 19:43

L3 KB&T done. That's all 3 levels done this week, plus a Shaun T cardio and the exercise bike session. Smile

knottyhair · 10/11/2014 05:46

Great stuff going on peeps! Weds afternoon I felt so rough, I really thought I was getting some horrible bug - everything hurt including my eyelids, and I felt sick. Had an early night and felt better in the morning but not great, so didn't manage anything Thurs or Fri. Weirdly felt absolutely fine Sat morning (have no idea what it was!), so did One Week Shred Strength on Sat and Shred L2 yesterday. Going to do SIWW 1 in a mo, still need to do a plan for the rest of the week. Have a good one everyone!

notyummy · 10/11/2014 14:30

I have put 1 week Shred and Bobs Kettlebella on my Xmas wish list!

Had a reasonable week last week although only short sessions as squeezed for time. So did a ripped (L3), a run, one of 'Bobs workouts', a 60 second promise workout (which sadly lasts 40 mins...not 60 secs), Bobs yoga and NMTZ.

Cross trainer session tonight and a Ripped tomorrow
