It could well be that. I don’t believe it will be a nearly equal division though. However, I hope for an annulment of the Referendum based on the false information spread and the spurious reasoning for it happening in first place. How David Cameron sleeps at night is beyond me.

BrEUnificarion (pronounced Bree-unification).

ANYWAY!
Let’s go for Breturn!
And join the 27 countries that have no thought of leaving and the 9 waiting to get in. 😘

Whatever we call it, please, please, please make it happen!

I feel like sobbing with anticipatory relief at the thought that this colossal fuck-up could finally be put right.

Same. Having to explain to your kids that although we were free to roam and live anywhere in Europe we've voted to take that freedom from our children is fucking rough. Their incredulous "but... why would people vote to make something worse?"

Ah, an early lesson in the idiocy, intransigence, and strangeness of 'people'. Brexit's only benefit?

However, I hope for an annulment of the Referendum based on the false information spread.

Article 50 was triggered by an act of parliament on 29 March 2017 by 498 MPs, not be the referendum held 23 June 2016.

And join the 27 countries that have no thought of leaving and the 9 waiting to get in.

Until the 27 countries are asked whether or not they wish to remain in the EU, how can it be known with certainty they have no thought of leaving?

As for the 9 waiting to get in, if accepted will they be contributors or takers?

Portakalkedi · Today 14:38

As leaving was decided by a referendum, surely this should be subject to the same requirements?

Not necessarily, there was no such referendum to join the EU in the first place, so we can't trust politicians to do so for a rejoin.

TheFatRat · Today 15:36

The 9 countries waiting to enter are all beneficiaries!! Sell that to the people of Britain.

Andy Burnham will flip flop again. Don't get too excited.

* I’m very bored with this Old Etonian being dragged out. I pay as much tax as him proportionately and I don’t begrudge a penny. I’d like to pay a little more and see that we have adequate probation services, roads and support for asylum processing*.

Op, what do you think of Labour supporter Sir Peter Lampl leaving UK? His reason that Khan had made it impossible for motorists to get around London quickly was a pretty weird excuse. I mean, reasonable enough to leave London, but as a reason to actually leave the country?
Obviously, despite all his principles about equality in education, he didn’t want to pay more tax.

What was the 1975 referendum? Admittedly it was the Common Market then but it was just another name for EU?
