I noticed a conference held recently in Dublin on planning for a reunited Ireland. There were many big names there.

Also noticed Kit Malthouse doubling down on the hell in a handcart policy.

Ds1 and I were chuckling at Steve Bakers comments re: EU and Ireland...

I know it is only small beer (har, har) and lots of people seem to be lining up to say "I told you so" but this sort of failure makes me so sad. The government has just thrown small businesses to the dogs and has no plan to even help them out a bit.

I think Gove is setting himself up for leader in Opposition. They could do worse.

In homage to RedToothBrush and DRG et al, keep going everyone. March for rejoin later this month, as a way of increasing growth, surely some association with EU markets is an obvious win?

If/when there is a GE, I'm going to do what I did in 1997 - stay up all night and see it through to its end. And I really hope I get the same outcome.
