Hi new Landlady a Brew for myself and whatever you are having please!

Do you plan on installing a smoking shelter? The weather is shit outside and I don’t want to get wet. Sad

XingMing · 07/11/2019 09:50

Brew please, comrade.

Epicwaffle · 07/11/2019 09:50

A cuppa please, Landlady - builders brew if possible.

Loving the passing the Landylady baton in true comradely style Star

Watching the rain and awaiting deliveries so just dropped in for a Brew by the fire.

Epicwaffle · 07/11/2019 10:24

Yes! We went for ‘show of hands’ @howabout.

Seemed democratic enough. 🌹 ✊

Epicwaffle · 07/11/2019 10:34

Got my jam on toast, slightly excessive on the butter, but figured I ought to make best use of NHS services before the Nasty Tories snatch it as fast as Maggie’s Milk.

Also, best fatten up before fieldwork, this’ll see me through the first 6 months hopefully. 🚩

So, what’s head girl Jo up to today? Any juicy goss? 🎗🏵🥇

MeganBacon · 07/11/2019 10:55

Morning all! Popping by for oat milk decaf latte and goss!

time4chocolate · 07/11/2019 11:04

Morning - office elevenses so I have popped in for Brew and I’ll have it served in one of your finest ‘Praying for Sally🙏‘ mugs if I may Smile

Epicwaffle · 07/11/2019 11:07

Just seen the Ian Watson clip. 😱

howabout · 07/11/2019 11:16

Epic just reading about Green / Plaid / LibDem electoral pact. Blowing my mind somewhat. No way Scottish Greens or SNP could contemplate this with Scottish LibDems - they are oceans apart on everything but Brexit.

Epicwaffle · 07/11/2019 11:26

I have the chills. The puppet master is talking on sky. This guy genuinely terrifies me. I make Jokes about Corbyn, but Mcdonnell is the one I fear most.

Epicwaffle · 07/11/2019 11:31

@howabout Agreed!

SingingLily · 07/11/2019 11:33

Me too, howabout. Just wondering though what the Greens or Plaid think they would get out of such a pact? The Greens had one of biggest surges in voting in 2015 and 2017 but still only managed to produce one MP. Plaid is strictly limited to Wales and even there it has limited appeal.

The LibDems would benefit OTOH. They came a close second in Ceredigion in the 2017 snap election. I can't see them giving up a Plaid/LibDem marginal if they really really believe it takes their leader one step closer to world domination the keys of No. 10.

Hmm, junior partners in a political pact. As I recall, that worked out well for the LibDems under Nick Clegg.

As for McDonnell? That practically calls out for one of your memes, Epic. Blofeld stroking his cat springs to mind.

DustyDiamond · 07/11/2019 11:38

Just caught the end of McDonnell

Agree that he's the real sinister puppet master

OP posts:
DustyDiamond · 07/11/2019 11:39

I've no goss because I'm just so disinterested in what's been going on so far

OP posts:
howabout · 07/11/2019 11:45

Re JMD - I am highly susceptible to his twinkly eyes so couldn't trust my views on how dangerous he is or isn't, but at 70+ he's managed not to cause much so far - hard to see him as a puppet master.

Funny (?) comment on twitter:

"Have YOU recently resigned from a major political party? Are you looking for another senior management role with generous expenses, but less accountability? Here at McDonnell, McDonnell and McDonnell we offer a bespoke executive recruitment service, tailored to your unique..."

The real reason for a ReNationalisation programme?

Course the Tories just keep everything privatised and set up a bunch of quangos.
