Why are they allowed to get away with it?

No replies wanted, just need this put out there.

“The most bigoted people I’ve ever met in my life have been lefty remain voters.
Own your own shit & stop pretending you’re anything other than what you are.
Intolerant bigots.”

This whole thread has basically been one woman making a fool of herself about what a fool she is. Embarrassing

Jeanvaljean27 · 22/07/2018 15:17

Ta1kinpeace this is the irony. Rabid pro-brexiters are statistically most likely to be adversely affected by the shit when it hits the fan after their hard brexit utopia transpires, and we turn into a lean, mean, low tax-low spend-low regulation state.

ouchthatsmarted · 22/07/2018 15:22

@surferjet please remember to use your now infamous phrase when signing off.

(I have removed the & sign for you)

You, C4 news, need to respect the vote of the British people or shut the fuck up.

The EU costs each one of us around £128 a year.

The cost of Brexit is going to be in the region of £1,500 to £3,500 per person per year

Wow.

Surfer has really has her arse handed to her on a plate today, hasn’t she?

Tokyo
You might have guessed that I've asked the question many, many times before
and I've never had an answer in the real world or online

Brexiters know that they want Brexit but its about as real to them as the tooth fairy
I'm yet to meet one who does not huff on about "taking back control"
but can answer Of What?

And the top Brexiteers like Rees Mogg are much more worried about the 1st April 2019 wealth directive than the 52%

CaptainBrickbeard · 22/07/2018 18:24

Ta1kin that has what has really got my goat today. I know I’ve been relentless but I cannot stand this absurd pretence that a vote for Brexit is a vote for poor people or a vote against the establishment when the architects are men like Rees-Mogg. surfer attempting to argue that left wing voters have contempt for the poor but billionaires can destroy our economy for their own gain and not be held accountable because they’re politicians really tipped me over the edge!!

abilockhart · 22/07/2018 21:14

Another traitor here.

Jacob Rees-Mogg's firm has now set up a second fund in Ireland so that his wealthy clients can avoid the risks of a hard brexit.

To quote surfer:

Why are they allowed to get away with it?

Oh I’m a bit gutted Surferjet has gone. Didn’t get a chance to tell her that my reaction(which she noted) was a bit of an experiment. I decided that an emotional response devoid of fact but full of rhetoric seemed to work well for the Brexiteers so thought I’d have a go.

Peregrina · 24/07/2018 07:58

Interestingly a real world rabidly pro brexit friend changed their mind after being treated in an NHS hospital

I would dearly love to see a hospital putting up a notice to the effect:

If you are dissatisfied with the waiting time you have experienced, please note that we have lost XXX number of EU staff since June 2016. YY number of potential recruits from the rest of the world have been refused visas by the Home Office. Please address any complaints to either your MP or 10 Downing Street.

It won't happen, of course.
