No Deal Brexit will make the very richest people richer and it will make the poorest people suffer. Leaving the EU is not ‘the plebs’ getting one over on the establishment. How can you imagine that it is?

To be honest, I'm shit scared about what's going to happen next and I didn't vote for it. It must be fucking terrifying to be looking into the void knowing that you were partly responsible for bringing us to the brink.....No wonder there's a lot of denial and/or headless chickening going on.

NHS is being privatised. It's happening as we speak.

Brexit may actually help slow that process as we rely heavily on EU immigration for HCPs so staff recruitment will become more difficult so NHS service become less profitable.

That's a rather back-handed benefit though.

Right, surfer, well us ordinary lefty voters have been voting against austerity and against the financial catastrophe of Brexit because we want a healthy economy and politicians in power who will support poor and vulnerable people. Whereas those voting for the hard right No Deal Brexiteers are voting to destroy our economy and make everyone poorer except the super-rich elite. So it’s really hard to see how we are contemptuous of the poor when we actually would prefer not to see people suffer and starve as a result of austerity and Brexit.

surfer, you do know that the Leave campaign has admitted they deliberately targeted people with racist views in their advertising? I’ve never said that all Leave voters are racist but there was a heavy element of racism in the Leave campaign - which they have acknowledged.

Higher levels of education generally correlated with Remain votes: again I have never said that this means that all Leave voters were stupid and/or uneducated. I do believe that Leave was a stupid decision but that doesn’t mean I believe Leavers are stupid.
