Why are they allowed to get away with it?

No replies wanted, just need this put out there.

Blatantly even!

Just the sensible view of a negative situation?

Fitzsimmons · 17/07/2018 19:37

Probably just a demonstration of that age old saying "you can't polish a turd".

TammyWincyette · 17/07/2018 19:37

It's a neutral analysis.

Scoopofchaff · 17/07/2018 19:39

I've always found Channel 4 to be pretty thorough when it comes to their analysis of facts.

Scoopofchaff · 17/07/2018 19:41

Channel 4 news that is! They are generally much more thorough than the Beeb for example.

drearydeardre · 17/07/2018 19:41

I agree - they are almost worse than the BBC especially when Jon Snow is fronting it (he of the multicoloured socks and ties)

Yaralie · 17/07/2018 19:43

Channel Four tends to give a more balanced and truthful report than the BBC which has had a pro-brexit bias for more than twenty years since they invited Farage onto Question Time 29 times at a time when no other MEP was ever allowed to have asy.

Spoken like a true Brexiteer!

surferjet · 17/07/2018 19:46

News programs are supposed to report the news in an unbiased manner.
C4 news should not be a platform for its presenters to shove their anti Brexit views down its viewers throats.
They are shameful.

OP posts:
Yaralie · 17/07/2018 19:47

I do wonder whether all of those who voted Leave are immune to factual evidence which could possibly make them think again or whether there might be some who look at the facts and say, "it is possible I got it wrong - we should Remain in the EU".

HirplesWithHaggis · 17/07/2018 19:49

Voices who dissent from the government line should be silenced, is that what Brexit means?

GhostofFrankGrimes · 17/07/2018 20:01

Voices who dissent from the government line should be silenced, is that what Brexit means?

yes, along with scapegoating migrants, attacks on the rule of law, attacks of high court judges, attacks on academia. Got a faint whiff of the 1930's about it this Brexit lark.

TheElementsSong · 17/07/2018 20:40

This^^

yes, along with scapegoating migrants, attacks on the rule of law, attacks of high court judges, attacks on academia. Got a faint whiff of the 1930's about it this Brexit lark.

And this^^

But, y’know, we should learn from this thread that this is what all true patriots should aspire to.

BrittW · 17/07/2018 20:45

Jon Snow is shameless. Ditto Jon Sopel of the BBC. Juvenile, petulant attitudes ..... smirky and insolent. When did it happen that impartiality of TV presenters & interviewers was allowed to be dropped?

I'd hate to have them on a jury trial.

Tronkmanton · 17/07/2018 20:48

I’m with you OP. I had to turn over earlier as it was even more biased than usual!

Yaralie · 17/07/2018 20:48

Thank goodness we have Channel 4. Actually I would like to have a pro-EU news channel, and channel 4 is certainly not that, but at least they are not so pro-brexit as the Brexit Broadcasting Corporation,.

EveningShadows · 17/07/2018 20:50

It's fairly tricky to say anything positive about Brexit though - do give us some ideas of what they could say?

I would love to think positively about Brexit but aside from blue passports I'm not sure I've found anything.

Oly5 · 17/07/2018 20:52

Thank god for Channel 4 News. I love it.
Turn over if it doesn’t fit your political views FFS. Read the Daily Mail

Yaralie · 17/07/2018 20:59

You could read the Daily Mail, The Express, or The Sun and live in your little echo chamber where Brexit is the route to the magical sunny uplands of global Britain where all these other countries are queuing up to make wonderful trade deals with us (except Japan, of course, which has just made a wonderful trade deal with the EU_)

OhWhatAPalaver · 17/07/2018 21:06

Why not watch BBC news or read the daily mail if you'd like to hear the views of fascists people who agree with you. Ffs. Thank fuck for channel 4.

surferjet · 17/07/2018 21:07

It’s called C4 ‘news’
Not ‘an hour of Krishnan Guru-Murthy’s personal views on brexit’
They are a fucking joke.

OP posts:
Quietrebel · 17/07/2018 21:10

OP it is your right to criticise news coverage, but to claim C4 news should be taken off air shows how little you value democracy and freedom of expression.

MissBartlettsconscience · 17/07/2018 21:10

Funnily enough there is still news going on about Brexit. You could watch the Parliament channel if you fancy uninterrupted brexit comedy gold.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 17/07/2018 21:12

Surfer, I take it you have no problem with the BBC wheeling out Farage for his personal views? Or Sky with Brendan ONeill, Rees Mogg etc?
