Good morning Smile

Voting to leave the European Union was a monumental decision, and one that will change the direction of our Country for decades to come.
I see that as an exciting opportunity & something to be welcomed & celebrated.

So, if you see solutions instead of problems, if you see a better future for the citizens of U.K., free from the constraints of an organisation we had no control over, then this place is for you.
Of course not everything is going to run smoothly, maybe not for years, because leaving a union drowning in red tape was never going to be easy, but we are forward thinking progressive people who know the future doesn’t just mean next week.
So, here’s to our new future,
To the future of the U.K. Wine
The countdown begins.........

Actually we were desperate to join and they kept us at arms length for ages. Then we voted to stay in. The Single European Market has been going 26 years now and means that our factories have parts on a just in time basis, keeping storage costs to the minimum hence making them more cost efficient. And we get super fresh food and flowers from the continent with no delays at the borders. Our financial services company can deal seamlessly with 27 other countries. We can travel and live and work in these same countries with reciprocal pension, benefits and healthcare provision. These are wonderful things and shows how far we have come post war when rationing was in place - we weren't self-sufficient even then. It amazes me that anyone wants to mess with this. Cos sovereignty and less Polish people.

The fact that you were too young to vote in the 70's is a VERY dangerous argument
because teenagers will throw it back in your face when they vote to overturn Brexit in a few years' time

Moussemoose · 17/02/2018 21:21

5th June 1975.

mummmy2017 · 17/02/2018 21:22

Was talking about the they in the post I was replying too.
And the Your was to TheyBuiltThePyramids.

I have as much right to decide to do something as anyone else in this country, and more people thought the same way, so we are at this point in time,

I would have far more respect if you realised until that nothing said here changes anything, that we just don't know, how when or why yet, but that it's coming and your going to have to just like what is served up to you, just like everyone else.

The difference is most leavers can see this, while others spout facts figures and insults that are just not going to do anything, expect make them unhappy...

Moussemoose · 17/02/2018 21:26

We live in an evolving democracy. Where do you get this just take what is given to you attitude? Get off your knees and fight.

Decisions change, life moves on, we can influence the society we live in. One vote does not make us passive spectators for the next 20 years.

Passivity in the face of injustice is wrong.

TheyBuiltThePyramids · 17/02/2018 21:26

Mummmy, I didnt ask why you voted Brexit. I asked what negative impact being in the EU has had on your life. Surely you must have one example?

TheyBuiltThePyramids · 17/02/2018 21:26

Even I have one. I lost my job due to Maastricht.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 17/02/2018 21:27

I just want to know how come theybuilt is getting called educated

Is she spelling stuff right

Is it the punctuation? Ive turned mine off...it was really irritating. I felt it was judging me

TalkinPeace · 17/02/2018 21:30

Rufus

mummmy2017 · 17/02/2018 21:31

TheyBuiltThePyramids said she was educated.. So I took her at her word.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 17/02/2018 21:33

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 17/02/2018 21:34

Though i am liking the PROF bit

mummmy2017 · 17/02/2018 21:37

Fail to prepare , prepare to fail...

Blame DC, we just ticked the box because we could.

Being able to spend our own money where we want to, and not being fined because we do better than we think.
Not having to pay to bail out another country who have suffered because the Single currency has almost bankrupted them.
Not paying for vanity projects.
Engaging in industry once more, as it suddenly becomes more profitable.

My question is
- what do you want
- what do you hope for
- what do you expect

I’m going to K.I.S.S

  1. Out of the EU
  2. Out of the EU
  3. Out of the EU
Which I believe was the question we were asked.

I think it was theybuilt who summed it up perfectly for me about 4 pages back:
But we have been a member for a long time and so many elements of our lives are totally embedded in that relationship.
That’s not a good thing in my book.

AgnesSkinner · 17/02/2018 21:38

Yeah Rufus, you’ll need to change your name to RufusTheProfessorialReindeer if you’re not careful.

TheyBuiltThePyramids · 17/02/2018 21:38

I said MN demographic was educated, not me personally.

Bearbehind · 17/02/2018 21:39

Not paying for vanity projects

PMSL

Brexit is the biggest vanity project of all time!

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 17/02/2018 21:40

agnes

Grin Wine ?

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 17/02/2018 21:40

Ha!

See i knew theybuilt wasn't educated

Bearbehind · 17/02/2018 21:40

time has just demonstrated the level of discussion possible round here- it's pitiful Hmm

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 17/02/2018 21:40

Sorry theybuilt

AgnesSkinner · 17/02/2018 21:45

On the subject of vanity projects, we can look forward to the Boris Channel Bridge at only £120 billion because his last vanity bridge project went so well (only £60 million pissed up a rope).

TheyBuiltThePyramids · 17/02/2018 21:45

I'm educated!

mummmy2017 · 17/02/2018 21:46

Nope it's just we don't know the answers.
We admit to you we don't know the answers.
It's not you it's me, I want to go.
And still like a jilted lover your need for answers keeps coming.
We don't EU anymore.....

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 17/02/2018 21:47

Will you make your mind up theybuilt!!!

Anyone can say anything about themselves on the internet
