Good morning Smile

Voting to leave the European Union was a monumental decision, and one that will change the direction of our Country for decades to come.
I see that as an exciting opportunity & something to be welcomed & celebrated.

So, if you see solutions instead of problems, if you see a better future for the citizens of U.K., free from the constraints of an organisation we had no control over, then this place is for you.
Of course not everything is going to run smoothly, maybe not for years, because leaving a union drowning in red tape was never going to be easy, but we are forward thinking progressive people who know the future doesn’t just mean next week.
So, here’s to our new future,
To the future of the U.K. Wine
The countdown begins.........

It will never cease to amaze me that Leavers arguments are more shadow than a puddle yet they simply don't care.

There's no a shadow of embarrassment about the lack of thought.

There's no shame in being completely unable to articulate exactly what they want to gain from leaving the EU.

There is also no embarrassment about the fact they don't keep up to date with developments and have absolutely no idea what you he future holds.

TalkinPeace · 17/02/2018 20:35

mummmy
What trade will we have access to that we do not in the EU ?

mummmy2017 · 17/02/2018 20:36

So we are back to remainers demands for answers,

Nope not playing that one.

mummmy2017 · 17/02/2018 20:41

Over 17 million voted to leave.
Do you understand just how many people that is.
Just how many people thought there was something wrong with being in the EU.
If you have that many unhappy people in a country it's not a tiny blip it's a whole lot of people who don't like something...
Why can't you lot face up to that.

Bearbehind · 17/02/2018 20:44

Just how many people thought there was something wrong with being in the EU.

Not 17m. Not even close.

A proportion of those had no idea what the EU is, they just used it as a protest vote.

Even those who claim to have voted as they were desperate to leave the EU cannot even begin to explain what was so bad or why leaving is so desirable.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 17/02/2018 20:48

Why because in your complacency you thought it couldn't wouldn't happen, well it has so you have to deal with it...

Fucking hell

TalkinPeace · 17/02/2018 20:50

mummy

Yup, its about 1/3 of the electorate.
In a general election there are multiple options.
In the Referendum there were only two
and 2/3 of the electorate did not vote to leave.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 17/02/2018 20:51

f you have that many unhappy people in a country it's not a tiny blip it's a whole lot of people who don't like something...Why can't you lot face up to that.

Right back atcha

TheyBuiltThePyramids · 17/02/2018 20:51

Mummmy - how many out of those 17 million had no fucking clue about the EU and just wanted to stick their fingers up at David Cameron do you think? It is very clear to me that even many posters here, where the demographic is mainly educated and switched on, don't understand how the EU works, don't understand how global trade works, don't understand how parliamentary democracy works. If we are the educated and clever ones and don't have a full understanding and have ample opportunity to discuss these matters, how does Joe Bloggs in ex mining village have the info to make a fully knowledgeable decision when his newspaper warns him he is about to be overrun with terrorist sorts?

TheyBuiltThePyramids · 17/02/2018 20:53

My sentences went a bit wrong

mummmy2017 · 17/02/2018 20:53

You really can't see it can you.
Your so sure your right, you just can't cope that people wanted out and more vote leave than voted to stay...
People didn't like what there was so voted for a different way.
Remain fought the wrong battle plan and lost.

TheyBuiltThePyramids · 17/02/2018 20:56

No. I cant see it at all. I see people sticking their fingers up at authority with no actual clue of what this might mean.

time4chocolate · 17/02/2018 20:59

......and have absolutely no idea what you he future holds

My fellow leavers, I find it hard to believe that between us not one of us has got a crystal ball 🔮 that is actually working. Come on now let’s galvanise our efforts, people are waiting and they want answers NOW Wink Wine

surferjet · 17/02/2018 21:01

Agree mummmy2017.
The remain campaign focused too much on the financials & not enough on other issues.
They even admitted they got it wrong.

mummmy2017 · 17/02/2018 21:01

TheyBuiltThePyramids then you have to accept that the way our world is reported is to blame for the perception of what people thought. You can't blame Russia or anyone else.
You also have to place the blame on David Cameron fully for doing it to us, in even given in to a vote.
Just because your educated doesn't mean your right, and you definitely must have been stuck in your own little bubble if you didn't see how Joe Bloggs felt, as it's been very clear for a long time to most people...

TheyBuiltThePyramids · 17/02/2018 21:02

I'd still like to know from Mummmy, Surfer et al, what negative effects being in the EU has had on them to date to make them hate it so much.

mummmy2017 · 17/02/2018 21:04

When Tony Blair swept into power on Time for a Change...

That was people sticking their fingers up, it has happened before, is happening now and will happen again, this is the way of the world.

TheyBuiltThePyramids · 17/02/2018 21:05

I was talking about MN as a whole, not just myself. I do blame David Cameron and I do understand the feelings of Joe Bloggs. Unfortunately Joe Bloggs' problems are not caused by the EU. Leaving the EU wont help him one tiny bit.

mummmy2017 · 17/02/2018 21:06

TheyBuiltThePyramids now who's saying HATE.

We don't hate the EU, we just took the chance to leave something we never voted to join.

TheyBuiltThePyramids · 17/02/2018 21:06

I don't think I tried to blame Russia

TalkinPeace · 17/02/2018 21:06

time4chocolate
My question is

  • what do you want
  • what do you hope for
  • what do you expect
Or did you vote to make the most massive political change in the UK for 40 years without having any clear aims from your decision ?
TheyBuiltThePyramids · 17/02/2018 21:07

Um we did vote to join. So what negative things have affected your life to date?

surferjet · 17/02/2018 21:10

It doesn’t matter what we say & what reasons we give for voting to leave, our reasons will not be ‘valid’ enough for remainers.
Don’t waste your time.

Dont want to insult theybuilt but how do you know they are educated

And it must have been a massive fucking bubble...apparently there were 16 million people in it

surferjet · 17/02/2018 21:12

When did we vote to join?
I never voted?
