To feel really positive about leaving the EU

I know there has been lots of fear stories but in a few weeks since the vote we have managed to get a new PM who seems more than capable and we are now in control of our destiny without being ruled by an unelected and unaccountable EU. The EU has for a long time been a basket case and has condemned much of the youth of Southern Europe to decades of unemployment, it's a relief to be out. Do remember we are now free to negotiate our own trade deals with the rest of the world and most countries are not in the EU and seem to do well. There have been so many fear stories which have been peddled by self interest. I wonder in 5 years time how many remainers will be asking to rejoin the EU!!

P.s let's spend our time talking this country up rather than down. There seems to be lots of people who think anyone who voted leave must be stupid or poorly educated just because they have different views!!

Well someone needs to feel positive. Hopefully your power of positive thinking will see us sail through the exit and into the future without any issue or severe austerity measure. Hopefully, if you're positive enough, we will all receive our own personal unicorns too.

Sorry why say fuck off. Why not feel positive about finally being in control of your own destiny. Most of Southern Europe is going through austerity because of the EU. There is over 25% youth unemployment the EU has failed, it has been a vanity project for very well paid politicians. Sorry I don't want to be governed by people I can't even vote for that is not democracy!!

Oh yes I am absolutely over the moon. I can't decide if its the fund crashing, the house prices falling or the fact that my husbands company is making 100's of redundancies in order to move operations to a different EU country. I can't decide if it's not being able to feed my children or being unable to pay my mortgage that I am most looking forward to. The remain campaign was not fear mongering it was a very accurate prediction of what would happen. Also just to let you know, we are still very much a member of the EU and all the problems are just at the possibility of leaving. Who knows what new issues will arise when we actually start to extract ourselves. Such exciting times. Luckily as we now have to relocate I won't be here to see it.

I don't know about Spain and Italy, but the youth of Greece face chronic unemployment as a result of the country's huge inability to manage it's own tax affairs. It has very little to do with the EU.

If you really think we're in control of our own destiny with an unelected PM in charge (yes, I know we don't really elect our PM) and the buffoon that is Boris in FO, then you are sadly deluded.

I find little to positive about, certainly not the break down of the political system, the economy nor the sudden appearance of nazi stickers in our neighbourhood. Not feeling particularly confident about security of food or energy supply either.

I think they were disinfranchised and asked a question that wasn't understood, by people who go down in history as making one most arragant political misjudgment ever.

Oh, and you can vote for your MEP and given that EU elections are run on PR, there's more chance of you being represented fairly than in the UK. The Council tend to be elected officials too. It's only the Commission which is a graveyard for disgraced and redundant politicians who are , you know, appointed by elected and accountable politicians.
