It certainly sounds that way.

Something very interesting from the the Guardian's live feed - indications from Sunderland are that Remain have won. Not only that but by quite a large margin.

Yes, I just saw that. Wildly differing views.

Uhoh! MI5 have just gone in at Bristol.

Counting suspended due to a 'fire alarm'.
Hope you didn't use a pen because all that ink and water = spoilt ballot papers.

SCREW YOU PEN WIELDERS!!! YA SHOULD HAVE USED A PENCIL

Newcastle is marginal apparently for remain. Which isn't a good result for them. Expected to do better.

So far remain for Newcastle and Orkney Islands.

Sunderland to declare in next few minutes, probably for leave.

I think this is going to be very, very close.

I predicted this- you can never underestimate how thick and racist people are.

Absolutely gutted for this country.

There we go again, "Leavers are all racist"

Change the record Hmm

Oh right, they did it for the economy, did they?
Just wait- the recession/the job loss/the housing crash is going to be wonderful.

Report
MangoMoon · 24/06/2016 06:21

Sigh.

Time for positive change and working together, divide & conquer is boring now.

No, I think it's time to grieve actually.
And make plans on how to cope with the economic collapse.

Report
flippinada · 24/06/2016 06:51

I think the collapse of the pound is only the start of it unfortunately.

Fine if you're rich enough to weather the storm I guess. For everyone else, it's going to be very, very difficult indeed. The £ is already at its lowest for 30 years. And that's not the start of it. Worse will come when the markets open at 8am.

I also think this will be a trigger for Scotland going independent. God knows what will happen in NI, which has been stable for such a relatively short time.

So Brexit have won the referendum that I couldn't understand.

It doesn't mean we're leaving the EU for definite.

And now I think the most important thing that needs done is we have someone in charge who can heal the wounds amassed from this bitter time. Whatever's going to happen will happen, our country may potentially be in ruin but only we can make sure it's not remembered as a nation full of hate towards each other

Most younger people voted Remain.

Most older people voted Leave.

That's going to be hard to massage into one big happy country.
