Thanks. Her item has arrived today! Just hope that having had a case opened and then closed against me doesn't stop others form buying!

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 09/12/2010 21:35

Had some items end tonight and i am in Xmas Shock! Some eau de toilette perfume stuff sold for £28! I didn't think it would make more than £1! Xmas Grin

Hi, I have a question from my friend who has just started ebaying.
She sold some dvds and they were apparently cracked when the arrived to the buyer. She's sure they were fine when she sent them.
She's offered a full refund but the buyer is asking for her to refund the return postage too. Is that right? If the DVDs were damaged in transit then can my friend claim on the royal mail?

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 09/12/2010 21:55

I think RM will only refund the cost of the items unless you can prove it was them at fault and not the packaging. she may need a photo & description of how the DVDs were packaged. Up to the seller whether to pay return postage costs as well or not. If buyer claims through Paypal they will have to pay return postage costs.

FrameyMcFrame · 09/12/2010 21:59

I don't think she packaged them very well as she didn't use any bubble wrap or tissue paper, just wrapped them in brown paper.

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 09/12/2010 22:02

Then i think unfortunately she will have to accept fault and learn from it. I don't think RM will refund in this case.

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 10/12/2010 19:32

The last of my items end tonight. Doubt i will list anymore now. I do have one more My little Pony which i may list and still have an adult Santa suit but where i had washed it, the white cuff bits have gone very slightly light pink so i don't know whether to bother listing it!

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 10/12/2010 21:18

DS1 is very very very Grin and Shock. His bundle of old type Beyblades has sold for £38.50! I am Shock too! He also made £51 on his PSP! He is working how how to spend the money i bet!

FrameyMcFrame · 10/12/2010 23:20

Hope you got the PS3 sorted out TOrtoise.
I'm still waiting to be paid for the last 2 items I sold... have got unpaid item cases open on both now.

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 12/12/2010 21:38

Fingers crossed PS3 will be sorted tomorrow. Sent back by parcel force Friday, should be there tomorrow. I am quite nervous about whether the seller is going to refund or try and fight it!

I listed 3 DS games tonight on 3 day listings. DS2 wanted to sell them and i think they will do better before Christmas and i can send them the day after the listing ends.

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 13/12/2010 11:03

Tortoise - fingers crossed all goes well with your PS3 return - did you get the serial numbers sorted out?

We sold, wait for it... 60 items last night! Thankfully lots of different items went to the same bidders, so not quite 60 things to package up, I think we made about £350 before fees deducted.

I am relieved that we're all done until the New Year now :o

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 13/12/2010 12:50

Yes they confirmed serial numbers matched over phone and i photographed the sticker before sending it back! Just in case lol!
Well done on all your sold items. I have just packaged up 17 items! That was bad enough! Grin

mogs0 · 13/12/2010 16:50

I listed my DS' ds lite today on BIN after a bit of a mix up with it on auction yesterday. It has more watchers on it in 6 hours than it got in a week on auction. It's very strange.

I really hope it sells.

I still have so much that I should have listed for this Christmas but will end up staying in the cupboard for another year until I can get it listed for next Christmas.

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 13/12/2010 19:59

One of the DS games is upto £6!

mogs0 · 14/12/2010 15:16

OMG - DS' ds has just sold on BIN for the full asking price Shock! I put a cheeky BIN price on and had expected to accept an offer for less but it's just been bought and paid for - woohoo Grin!

I'm so happy and ds will be thrilled because it means he can upgrade to the dsi that he so desperately wants! Now, do I tell him I've already ordered it and it's hiding behind the sofa or let him find it Christmas Day?!

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 14/12/2010 16:29

Mogs Yay that's great. I would wait until Christmas. Smile

PS3 has made it back to seller. They are having it fixed for £30 and offering to let me still have it if i want but i am not sure i want to risk having it back again!

notcitrus · 19/12/2010 22:58

Well that's me done - got one grobag not paid for yet, but even so hit the £150 mark. And most of the bubblewrap and boxes hanging about are going on Freecycle/being recycled after Christmas, as anything I want to sell would be best off in a plastic mailbag anyway to ensure I don't have to pay extra postage.

Merry Christmas, everyone! Xmas Smile

SproutsMakeTortoiseFart · 27/12/2010 22:03

Hope everyone had a good Christmas. Smile
We did despite 2nd PS3 i bought also being faulty. have to send it back Wednesday and await refund. In the mean time i have to get one from somewhere as soon as possible as Ds1 has been so good about not having his present to play on.
