Tortoise - it all helps!!

I haven't heard anything from the 'Shrug Buyer' yet! I sent it 1st class yesterday. I'm expecting an email from them ranting about having paid so much for it Blush.

Rosa · 23/11/2010 12:34

Thanks - I have only got 2 items at the mooment but I hope to add more soon. ( when I get round to weighing it for postage!). I try to place things so they end on Sunday pm is that the besttime ?- What are other good days to end auctions on ?
Oh weel I will keep on going or they will come up for FFP on Mn all must go before I move ! Thanks and good luck to you all - I certainly won't make £300 by Christmas will be lucky if I hit £20 way I seem to be going. The Italians don't seem to e bay that much - they put really high reserves on things as well .....thats why I use the Uk more!

After my clear-out at the weekend I have masses of stuff to eBay again, does anyone know of any rumours about a free listing weekend?
If they follow the same pattern then not this weekend but next would be one, but then it's too late for guaranteed delivery before Xmas Day.
Gonna stick 99p listings on and wait patiently for a free listing weekend to put the rest on.

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 23/11/2010 13:25

I was hoping they might stick a free listing weekend this week. Must get DD2's my little pony bits listed this week.
I've just put all the listed items back in the cupboard because the corner of my front room looks terrible with so much stuff piled up! Grin

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 23/11/2010 13:31

Typical!! i now have a question about one of the items i just put in the cupboard which it behind the sofa! Grin

FrameyMcFrame · 23/11/2010 15:02

are 99p listings free mygirllollipop?

I've just been packing all the stuff up ready to post this afternoon.

The boring and time consuming side of ebaying.

mygirllollipop · 23/11/2010 15:15

I think you get about 100 free 99p listings a month.
Hoping I wont need any after this lot, as I am hoping not to take any junk to the new house.
Typical Tort, will watch your MLP though, DD4 loves that kinda thing.

FrameyMcFrame · 23/11/2010 18:16

oh I see, thanks mygirllolipop :)

clumsymumluckybaby · 24/11/2010 09:55

tortoise,is there a link to your stuff?
dd loves my little pony, would make a good xmas presentSmile

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 24/11/2010 12:26

Yes here is My items but my little pony not listed yet. Possibly a job for tonight. There is a bundle of ponies and some ponyville bits ie tea pot house, ice cream cafe thing, ferris wheel and roller coaster like these sold ones from another seller. (I don't have all those though!)Smile

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 24/11/2010 13:48

Framey - we sold 32 things this week and DH was not impressed with the many bags of parcels he's taken to the post office this week :)

We've got 85 items listed now, all ending this Sunday, another 20 or so to put on tonight.

My 85 things are here

ShittyBangBang · 24/11/2010 14:56

I've under charged on p+p by £16 Sad

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 24/11/2010 18:24

Oh no Shitty. Sad That isn't good. Can you send cheaper by courier? Only about £8 with parcels2go. (If you haven't already sent)

notcitrus · 24/11/2010 18:25

Hooray - my lost and returned item was resent and has now been collected by the buyer who has left feedback saying "seller saved me from Royal Mail!!" :)

So broken the £100 mark - I have some more things to list but have been too ill this week. Have a ball gown that might do well this time of year so will try to at least get that on.

FrameyMcFrame · 24/11/2010 18:33

Blimey Dinosaurs, I hope you've got a good selotape dispenser!

I've posted all now apart from the riding hat (which sold for £4.99 eventually) but I want to get a good box to put that in so it doesn't get damaged in the post.
Cna't decide whether to list any more stuff this week or wait for the weekend.

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 24/11/2010 22:10

Tonight i have listed a Thomas Tank engine ready bed and My little pony items!

Some items sold tonight too but i have added them up yet. I would guess at £30. My long coat sold for £16 which i am shocked about. My turn to be the nervous Ebayer hoping buyer is happy with their purchase! Grin

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 25/11/2010 13:02

Been offered £25 for the ponyville bundle. Not sure what to do. Tempted to wait and let it run but may sell for less then!

clumsymumluckybaby · 25/11/2010 15:03

id check completed listings...see what they normaly go for?!

mygirllollipop · 25/11/2010 15:52

Knew it had to happen.
Someone is disappointed as she thought a smellies set was full size, when it states in item specifics it's travel/sample size. WWYD?

mygirllollipop · 25/11/2010 15:53

Sorry, didn't know it would happen on that item, just the volume of stuff I've shifted this last month, knew something had to go wrong somewhere.

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 25/11/2010 21:06

mygirl If the info was there in item specifics then it isn't your fault they didn't read it properly. I would say to the buyer return at your own cost if you aren't happy with the item.

ShittyBangBang · 25/11/2010 21:26

If you are not too bothered about a neg (which you can reply to anyways) Stick to your guns and say item is as described, their own fault for not reading listing properly, therefore, no refund.

Already posted items, two were abroad which is what has mainly cost the most.

FrameyMcFrame · 25/11/2010 22:05

Hope no one is disappointed with their stuff this week, a couple of things sold for more than I expected (and more than I thought they were worth) so I hope the buyers get what they want when they receive the stuff. I agree with the others mygirl, you put the info clearly so it's not your fault if there was a misunderstanding.
Just listed a few more things this evening to end on Sunday here

FrameyMcFrame · 25/11/2010 22:07

I think I'm over using the word 'vintage', (in other words old) Grin

ShittyBangBang · 25/11/2010 22:19

Oooo I like the JL outfit Grin
