More items listed tonight

SNOW Have you tried clearing cookies? Seem to be a common problem going by people who have asked about it on MN. Smile

FrameyMcFrame · 05/12/2010 22:29

I was planning on putting some more stuff on tonight but I'm too tired to start now.
I've also got two none payers at the moment which has really peed me off as the items had loads of bids on them and I really need the money Sad
Tortoise, I'll PM you about the littlest petshop :)

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 05/12/2010 22:39

Framey - how long has it been since your non-payers won them? Can you open an unpaid item dispute? I had to do that last week for a couple of mine and they paid within 2 days, so all may not be lost.

FrameyMcFrame · 05/12/2010 22:55

One is 8 days and the other is 3 days.
I've sent a couple of messages but no reply.
I think I'll see about opening an unpaid item dispute then.

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 05/12/2010 22:56

I have had a few non payers lately too. One paid once dispute had been opened!

I am getting very worried about an expensive item i purchased on 25th Nov. No item and despite sending them 2 emails they haven't replied. This will ruin Christmas for DS2 Sad. Doubt a dispute and refund would be sent quick enough to buy another one and i don't have the money at the moment to get one.

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 05/12/2010 23:21

Framey - definitely open a NPB case for the 8 day one - you have to wait another 4 days and if they don't pay by then you can close the case, re-list item and you'll get your fees back. The 3 day one I'd wait until it was 4 days before opening a case - and send them both a final message to let them know you've opened a case.

Have had more than the usual NPB recently too, but all of them have paid before I could close the case so I guess it works! Oh, and if they don't pay then remember to add them to you blocked bidders list.

Tortoise - I'd open a dispute, you might at least find out what's going on with your item.

SNOWBall4girlz · 05/12/2010 23:32

well cleared cookies
I can relist stuff i my unsold folder but cannot edit anything or sell similar vey annoying have put a load of listings on but want to edit them and cannot :(

SNOWBall4girlz · 05/12/2010 23:38

I have had a couple of npb and had to cancel one transaction to get my fees back as the buyer was abroad and did not want to pay the postage annoying but at leastI got my FVF back.

I had a NPB a couple of weeks ago. I opened a dispute, then noticed they'd been removed from ebay. I offered the next highest bidder 2nd chance offer which they accepted and paid for today so all's not lost! It's the first time someone's accepted a 2nd chance offer so I was really suprised!

baabi · 06/12/2010 12:45

Finnaly managed to get my act together and do quite a few more listings. I always seem to miss the free days tough, just too busy at weekends. Here are my latest offerings

notcitrus · 06/12/2010 22:14

Listed a few more bits yesterday and have a bunch more bids - 7 items selling tomorrow so will be wrapping into the night, after my works Christmas do. Better stay sober enough to address them right!

Need to revise some of the listings as turns out a wad of useless computer bits are actually a useful set. Hopefully I can 'revise' ie totally redo all the listings to sell different items without fees!

Not even a watcher now on my lovely ball dress, though.
Listings here

FrameyMcFrame · 07/12/2010 09:47

Just got a message from one of my none payers saying she's snowed in and can't get to the bank to put money in.
That's fine as long as she intends to pay as soon as she can, it's just when you don't hear anything back it gets a bit frustrating. Xmas Smile

FrameyMcFrame · 07/12/2010 09:50

DD wants a 'dress like they wear on strictly come dancing' for Christmas!

Looked on ebay and they're really expensive, like £70 at the cheapest.
Don't suppose anyone has a ballroom dancing dress aged 9 to 10 knocking around they want to sell???

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 07/12/2010 19:04

babbi On your listing of looney tunes you have put Duffy instead of Daffy in the title. Smile

clumsymumsnowdriftbaby · 07/12/2010 20:51

ps ive lost my glasses and i can hardly see the bloody screen, apologies for sp!Smile

mygirllollipop · 07/12/2010 22:38

Grr. I sold something which is bulky and heavy so put collection only but would pack up and provide details for courier. It's sold and when I've packed it up it's a lot smaller and lighter than I thought it would be and I could have offered a courier myself for £9, in which case I would have made more than the £1 it fetched!
My total is around £569 if everybody pays! woohoo.

baabi · 07/12/2010 22:55

thanks for that Tortoise, I have always called it DuffyGrin

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 08/12/2010 09:55

Final listings from me are here - spent an age listing lots of new James Bond DVD's which was a bit tedious.

No more listing for me until February now, and can't say I'm unhappy about that, I'm all ebayed out :)

Hope everyone does really well this week.

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 08/12/2010 22:07

Am i right in thinking a seller can't refuse to agree to an item being returned especially if faulty? I am so Angry. Got DS1 a PS3 for Christmas off Ebay. It arrived Monday and i can't get it to work. Seller says it was working when sent. They were all nicey, nicey, being helpful until today when i tell them i can't get it to work even on another TV with a friends PS3 leads! Now seller tells me They won't accept return and accuse me of being a dubious Ebayer! Angry Now my 13yr olds Christmas is fucked up as without a refund i have no way of affording another £140+. Sad (Paid £147 for it)

bethylou · 08/12/2010 22:19

Hi ladies can I gatecrash? Well done on your sales! I've sold about £100 of stuff to offset our Christmas spends as I haven't gone back to work after maternity leave when we hoped due to having 2 long-term poorly boys. A lady has contacted me today and opened a case to say that her item hasn't arrived and she wants a refund. I don't know how to do that! Can you advise? I have proof of posting but presume I just refund anyway to avoid getting bad feedback?

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 08/12/2010 22:21

bethylou Yes you issue refund then claim through Royal Mail. How long has it been since the item was sent? I think buyer has to wait 14 days. Depending where you/there are the weather may have delayed the item.

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 09/12/2010 12:05

Tortoise - Yes it is against ebay rules to refuse to return/refund an item especially if is faulty. I'd waste no time and open a Paypal and ebay dispute today - tell them what seller has said and say you are returning on the basis that the item does not work.

I think, (may be wrong here and someone else may know for sure) that if you are returning because it's faulty they also have to refund your return P&P costs - please make sure you return it insured and signed for with tracking. You should be able to open the dispute and so long as you return it promptly, you may get your money back before Christmas.

Do you need any help finding out where to open the disputes? I have a bit of time today so I don't mind looking for you.

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 09/12/2010 12:11

Bethylou - when did you send it? The Post Office won't consider an item as undelivered or lost until 14 days past the posting date, so I would very politely ask your buyer to wait for delivery until the 14th day, then get a claim form from the PO and fill it in and post it with your COP on the 14th day if it still hasn't arrived, refund the buyer on the 14th day too.

I've claimed a few times for undelivered items with just a COP, not signed for, and they've always paid up, it just takes a little time and unfortunately you're out of pocket until they do.

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 09/12/2010 12:17

Thanks Dinosaurs. I know how to open dispute. Just waiting for reply from seller because i had another email saying they have serial numbers for it and i want them to email me those numbers in case i return it and they say the numbers are different! They still say it was working. I have been told i will have to pay return postage and they won't refund postage to get item to me. Also saying if it works when it arrives back to them they will send it back to me and charge postage again! I am being accused of swapping it with another console. Angry
Luckily as i have been on Ebay so long i know what to do and keep an eye out for but am very wary about sending this back and them not refunding. If i go through Paypal i doubt i will have the money back in time to get another one off Ebay (must be mad to take the risk again!!).
