Hi! I would like to join you guy if possible?!

I have 3 buggies on there at the moment. (2 still being at 99p!!!). They are ending Sunday night. Just about to list my wedding dress and maybe a couple of other bits, but will do different start time and pay the extra 6p.

I always worry that fees cost so much - and they really deduct a big proportion of the cost. listing fee if any, plus the 10% cut ebay take, plus the paypal fees which can be high, plus then postage and packaging!

Do you all withdraw your money regularly or are you saving it in Pay-pal till you reach the £300 target? Do you include postage and fees in the amount or do you deduct all costs first?

my items here

Tortoise · 08/09/2010 21:44

SingleMumAndProud You are welcome to join Smile. Fees are ridiculous IMO. But they have to make money and we are all obviously willing to pay them Smile.
I tend to spend the money in paypal before reaching target! Blush
Why do you want different start times? Is it worth paying out 6p?

Just waiting for the last of tonights items to end then will add up total minus postage.

OP posts:
SingleMumAndProud · 08/09/2010 21:58

Its just that if items end at certain times, they sell better. Ie something ending in the morning, won't get many people watching it in its last few hours. Where as in the evening it will get more bids.

I didn't actually do it in the end for my wedding dress that I am just finishing listing now.

It is saying:

"You must include variations when using Revise, Relist, or Sell Similar for a multiple-variation fixed-price listing."
I can't work out where I have gone wrong?!

SingleMumAndProud · 08/09/2010 22:03

Do any of you use turbo lister or anything? I am sure I downloaded it on my old pc but I can't remember ever using it. Does anybody know if its easier?

Tortoise · 08/09/2010 22:05

I use turbo lister. I like it when i have lots to list but want them to end in the evening. Can just upload them all quickly that night.

Made £86.48 tonight. Smile Very happy with that.
Makes my total so far £198.48!

OP posts:
SingleMumAndProud · 09/09/2010 09:52

Tortoise - so with turbo lister, you do it offline do you and just upload them when you want to? That sounds good. Think I will install it today then! Or overnight tonight if my laptop is still being as slow as it is now Hmm

Tortoise · 09/09/2010 11:15

Think you might have to be online, not sure. But yes add listings to it with all info, pics etc then you can upload when you are ready to. I find it very useful especially on free listing days because i can put lots of items on turbo lister during the week then upload them all on the day.

OP posts:
SingleMumAndProud · 09/09/2010 11:28

Good idea! Thanks for that. Will definatly do that.

AddictedToRadley · 10/09/2010 01:04

I'm in the midst of sorting things out for eBay. After months of saying I'm going to do it I've finally got my bum into gear!! Only pushing myself to do it as really really skint! (aren't we all?) lol

Just looking at your listings SingleMum and thought you may like to know your pushchair with the wobbly wheels sounds like the axle's gone. I only know as I had the same thing on a 2nd hand Mamas & Papas MPX Ultima. Apparently it's from rough handling or going up alot of curbs etc. Good news is a new axle's only about £5-10. I thought it might help you sell if you added info but of course up to you. The problem is that if you leave it it's very likely the wheel will snap completely off (no doubt when you need to get home with a baby & toddler screaming and laden with shopping!! lol Sods law!!). I hope your wedding dress doesn't go for silly money as it looks beautiful.

Good luck everyone. I can't wait to get started on free listings day - still think 10% of sale price is extortionate though but needs must!

WhatTheFrack · 10/09/2010 07:00

When is it free listings day? We're having another sort out this weekend. If I can make £300 that would be Christmas paid for and I'd be happy, very, very skint at the moment.

My first lot is going to end tonight, we're on £90 at the moment so I'm really hoping it gets over £100 tonight. Fingers crossed everyone.

Do you think it would be a good idea to put something like a Kettler trike on there or would that be better sold at a car boot sale?

SingleMumAndProud · 10/09/2010 09:50

I can't really add anymore now because I am going on holiday for a week in 7 days. Will install turbo lister though so if I get time to do some I will do it on there and then upload it the day before my holiday so they end when I come back or something! I always put a few days handling time incase I am busy anyway. The post office run ends up taking hours out of my day which is really annoying!

Thanks for the info on the buggy!

Yes I hope my wedding dress gets at least £20. More would be even better obviously but at least it will be gone. I am worried it will just get ruined if it stays here. I don't have a wardrobe long enough for it to hang properly in. And it hasn't exactly brought me much luck! 3rd wedding anniversary next week and we split up 2 months ago Hmm

LoveBeingOnEbay · 10/09/2010 10:31

Think its free listing this weekend!

Had a nightmare, dd broken the ipod speaker i sold and the buyer wont cancel the transaction so have not money and will be charged the fee Sad

SingleMumAndProud · 10/09/2010 11:50

Yes I just got the email about free listing this weekend. Does anybody know, is it just the basic fee that is free? So pictures, and buy it now options still charge?

Turbo lister isn't downloading for me Angry

lovebeingonebay - how annoying. Surely she would rather cancel it then have a broken ipod speaker?!

Tortoise · 10/09/2010 13:01

SingleMumAndProud Free listing just covers the listing, so pictures, BIN etc still cost. Smile

I have a few bits to list this weekend. And some ending tonight.

OP posts:
notcitrus · 10/09/2010 16:16

Can someone help me? I've downloaded Turbolister as want to be able to create a bunch of listings which will then start on Sunday night.

The guide keeps telling you to create listings then 'synchronise' with Ebay once you make them, but I don't see an option for when you want the listing to start? I don't want the listings to start tonight! Do I have to press upload' on Sun evening - and find that Ebay has crashed under the strain like usually happens on free list days?

Have about 20 photos of items ready to go...

Tortoise · 10/09/2010 16:40

notcitrus I'm not sure about that. But yes you press upload at the time you want to upload them. I haven't had Ebay crash on me on free listing weekends before.
(Took pic of grobag see msg earlier in thread!)

WhatTheFrack · 10/09/2010 18:04

I'm very happy managed to make £128 with this first lot of stuff. Will probably try and sitck some more on over the weekend but a great start. I keep fantasising about Christmas being paid for by Ebay.

SingleMumAndProud · 10/09/2010 18:27

Well done WhatTheFrack - thats great news Grin

roosterroo · 11/09/2010 15:23

Hello,

Finally managed to get motivated again - everyone is way ahead.

Here are my listings
lookhere

SingleMumAndProud · 11/09/2010 18:21

I am getting a bit nervous about my listings now as 2 buggies are still £1! I don't mind not getting much for them as I want them gone, but for £1 I would rather put it on freecycle rather than pack it all up etc!

Tortoise · 11/09/2010 18:47

Singlemum you could end the listings early if you are worried about not getting more bids. Then relist at a higher start price (especially while free listing weekend!)
