OP posts:
ShittyBangBang · 26/11/2010 08:25

I bought 3 mini boden coats from the carboot on Sunday and listed them straight on ebay. The days were listed as 5 days and forgot to change so the finish soon, and they arnt doing too bad Grin

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 26/11/2010 21:53

Re-listed lots of items Now have 48 items listed! Shock
Some kids books to list tomorrow, just not sure it's worth it!

Grufflemummy · 26/11/2010 23:15

Grin Well- thanks to this thread, I have done my 300!
(actually up to £333 as of last weekend) Am keeping going just a wee bit longer, as I know that once I stop I'll lose momentum, and it will be such a struggle to go back to it again (I hate all the flaming packaging stuff up, going to the Post Office malarkey).

I have actually spent a fair amount of that... but all the children's christmas presents have come from that, and DD just had a growth spurt too, so some has gone on replenishing her wardrobe.

Last few items here - most will sell, so a happy ebayer here!

ShittyBangBang · 27/11/2010 00:48

My dad informed me today that he spent £43 odd on postage on the 6 items I sold. WTF?????

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 27/11/2010 19:57

Just listed a Duck popper popcorn maker. They appear to be quite rare! Completed listings seem to show the sell for at least £15! Grin

mygirllollipop · 28/11/2010 11:01

The person messaging about the travel size gift set has responded to say she didn't see that part and that she has no grounds for complaint anymore.
I had one non-payer, I opened a case against her, no response, and eBay said I could close the case today. The only option I can see it to close case and tick option to has the buyer paid 'no'. Will this get my FVF back or am I just closing the case against her w/o any strikes/FVF refunds? TY

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 28/11/2010 11:17

Lollipop - yes once you've ticked to say buyer didn't pay/respond you will get your FVF back on your next invoice. They will get an unpaid item strike and you are free to list again or offer to another bidder.

We have 84 items ending tonight, 28 already have bids and loads more have plenty of watchers so I'm estimating we'll sell 35 things tonight in total - DH will not be impressed with the amount of things to pack but hey ho, more money raised :)

Another 15 things to go live tonight too!

Our stuff is HERE

mygirllollipop · 28/11/2010 15:56

Thanks DHU, have closed case and received FVF back.
Have loads to list but really want a free listing weekend to do it on. Might do the scheduling trick with them to save them for next weekend no matter what.

notcitrus · 28/11/2010 17:10

Thanks to motivation from this thread I've listed a few more items - I've got a ball gown I got off Ebay some years back so that might do well, but don't expect to sell much else.

I wonder if a stack of used jiffybags would sell? Grin

Looks like you have to state the postal service you plan to use in advance now, as otherwise it defaults to collection only (luckily someone noticed so I've corrected listings now)

listings here

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 28/11/2010 17:16

I am not sure there will be anymore free listing weekends before Christmas. I need to get everything listed by the end of next week so that i can put it all away otherwise there is no space for the Christmas tree to go up lol! Grin

FrameyMcFrame · 28/11/2010 17:33

I have a few items finishing tonight, just busy bidding on some snow boots at the moment.
I'm guessing ski stuff would do well in the current climate :)

FrameyMcFrame · 28/11/2010 19:57

I've just had a negative comment in feedback. She left it as a positive feedback but wrote a negative comment.

'Item as described, arrived quickly. Just a shame it hadn't been washed'

It was clean, I hadn't washed it directly before sending it. It was put away clean in a drawer.
Oh maybe I should have washed it again, but the feedback makes it sound as though I sent a dirty item (was a snowsuit)
I feel Blush and Angry now.

Grufflemummy · 28/11/2010 20:13

Framey- snow boots seem to be going for ££££ atm- I keep being outbid.

I have some finishing tonight in an hour, and am listing some to finish next sunday, but that will be it then until after Christmas.
All the things I want to sell now are spring clothes... so they're going to have to wait!

mygirllollipop · 28/11/2010 21:14

Re-listed a few and couple new things listed. Gonna aim to list ~8 things per night.

Grufflemummy · 28/11/2010 21:31

I think the X Factor has killed ebay tonight Sad
My items all sold, but not for as much as I'd hoped for... bah!

FrameyMcFrame · 28/11/2010 22:05

I've just been outbid on snow boots too Grufflemummy. maybe we're bidding on the same ones? Grin

Just had message from the buyer of the snowsuit saying there was dried food mark on the snowsuit so I mustn't have washed it. Blush
I'll refund her as it was my mistake.
On the up side I got £25 for my roller boots :)

higgle · 29/11/2010 15:06

I've been lurking on this thread - too busy trying to meet the challenge to post about it! I've sold some of my unworn clothes off for just over £200 ( unfortunately spent a bit of it on some more) and have one more listing to do before Christmas. Mogso the price you got for your shrug is no surprise to me - like the rest of the female population with a litle black dress and a party to go to I'm very worried about being cold - I've been searching for one myself, but they are all going for rather high prices.

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 29/11/2010 18:07

We sold 31 things this week, not bad for the week before pay day. DH says he won't moan and is manning up about the amount of things we have to pack and post:)

Load more things for us to list tomorrow night and I can see the end in sight - only 4 carrier bags of things to go - yessss!

Top tip - it's the first weekend after monthly pay day this week so if you are hesitating then now is the time to get your act together and get listing - best day and time to end is Sunday evening between 8pm and 9.30pm followed by Monday evening at same times. Watch out for TV hotspots of X factor/IACGMOOH and Corrie/EEnders ;)

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 29/11/2010 19:24

I have some items ending tonight inc the My little pony bits. Ponyville bundle is on £24 at the moment. Grin

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 29/11/2010 22:10

OMG! I got £46.50 for the ponyville bundle!
£11.60 for one bundle of ponies and £5.50 for the other bundle! Grin

FrameyMcFrame · 30/11/2010 09:48

whoa that's amazing Tortoise!
Does littlest Petshop stuff sell well?
DD has loads of the stuff she never plays with anymore.

ShittyBangBang · 30/11/2010 11:08

Wow! Well done tortoise!!!

GruesomeShellChillingTortoise · 30/11/2010 17:50

Framey PLEASE PLEASE (desperate plea!) let me know if you have littlest pet shop to sell. DD1 loves it Grin. Happy to buy straight from you to save listing. Smile

FrameyMcFrame · 30/11/2010 18:23

That's fine Tortoise, I'll have a rifle through and tell you what I've got :)

FrameyMcFrame · 30/11/2010 21:54

ok, there's littlest pet shop get better centre, there's a castle thingy with a slide and there's another thing which has swings for the pets to sit on. I'm going to have to look for all the bits that go with them though as I'm sure there are some little accessories. Also 7 pets but I might be able to find some more, I'll do it tomorrow when DD is at school as she gets a bit jumpy when I ebay her toys (even if she hasn't played with them for years!) I don't have the original boxes or anything.
